The main ideas from this information are that the topic of the morning devotion is "God's resources for his divine assignment." The scripture reading is taken from 2 Peter chapter 1. The speaker emphasizes that finding purpose in life is important, but finding the resources to fulfill that purpose is even more important. The speaker compares organizations that provide resources for their employees to the kingdom of God, where believers are given everything they need for their divine assignment. The speaker also emphasizes the importance of the Holy Spirit as a resource for believers, as the Holy Spirit empowers and guides them in their work. The speaker encourages listeners to take advantage of the Holy Spirit and apply the teachings in their daily lives. The message concludes with a prayer and a reminder to use the resources given by God to accomplish divine assignments. Music Teach me, O Lord, the way of your status, and I shall keep it to the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep your law. Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Shalom, dearly beloved. You are once again welcome to our morning glory devotion. This is Pastor and Mrs. Amwasa of Harvest Chapel International, Dengani Kumasi. Kindly let us share a word of prayer. Merciful Lord, we bless you for a beautiful day like this. We thank you for the privilege to fellowship together through the studying of your word. We ask that you shall grant us understanding and enlightenment as we share your word. In Jesus name, Amen. Let us kindly say a confession from Joshua 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. The topic for this morning's devotion, God's resources for his divine assignment. And our scripture reading this morning will be taken from 2 Peter chapter 1 from verse 1 to 8. I'm reading from the NLT version. This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior. May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us grace and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God's promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence. And moral excellence with knowledge. And knowledge with self-control. And self-control with patience and endurance. And patience and endurance with godliness. And godliness with brotherly affection. And brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. God's resource for his divine assignment. Finding purpose in life is a great joy. But finding the resources that are needed to fulfill that purpose is even a greater joy. Every assignment will require resources. And beloved, our divine assignment is no different. Imagine working in an organization that demanded results from its employees but invests very little to provide the much needed resources for the work. Now imagine working for another organization that also demanded results from its employees and goes ahead to provide all the resources that are needed for the work. Clearly, the outcome of these two organizations would definitely not be the same. I see the kingdom of God as the latter organization where all recruited workforce are given every resource that is needed for the work in the kingdom. We can learn from the example of God's first recruit, Adam. God had a plan and an assignment for Adam when he created him. God breathed into Adam and he became a living soul. God also blessed Adam with emotional, spiritual and physical integrity and the capacity to fulfill his assignment. According to the creation story, Adam was created on the sixth day by which time God had surrounded him with all the tangible resources he needed to live a meaningful life. God wanted his man project to succeed and so God set Adam up to do well. No wonder Adam excellently executed his first task by naming all the living creatures God had made. I believe the picture is the same for you and I. We who have been called as recruits to work in the vineyard of God. God has called us to dominate and have influence in every sphere of life. He has placed us by design wherever we find ourselves to tell his story and fulfill his grand agenda. We are his workforce and his laborers. Just as he set up Adam to do well, he has also set us up to do well in our time. The Bible is unambiguous when it says that his divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Indeed, we have been given everything we need to live fulfilled lives, bringing honor and glory to his name. But are you aware of the resources he has freely given to you for your assignment? This morning, I want to share one very important resource that we have as believers, which is the Holy Spirit. God has given us this ultimate resource, which is his own Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is to us to do what Jesus was to his disciples when he was on earth. It's the Holy Spirit that empowers us for service and for the work of the ministry. He makes us effective in every endeavor that relates to our divine assignment. This includes our family and domestic responsibilities and our academic and career pursuits. Jesus actually said in John 14 26 that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and bring to our remembrance all things he has said. 1 John 2 verse 20 says that we have received an option from the Holy One by which we know all things. The Holy Spirit is the one who inspired the scriptures and he is the only one who can bring light and illumination to our hearts and minds as we walk on the path of finding purpose in this life. He is the mind and the wisdom of God in the life of everyone who believes. He gives us understanding, not only in spiritual matters, but in every other matter. It is the Holy Spirit who gives us the spiritual gifts. He is the one who transforms our natural talents into spiritual tools. These tools in our lives and in his hands make us capable of awakening in the vineyard of God. He also bears in us the fruit of the Holy Spirit. These fruits build us in character and virtue which is needed for godliness. These are but a few of the benefits we have because of the resource of the Holy Spirit. Remember, before the day of Pentecost, the disciples were ineffective. But after the day of Pentecost, when the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, they began to serve the Lord effectively. The Holy Spirit has been given to you and I to help us succeed in this Christian life just as Christ himself succeeded in his ministry. Jesus himself took full advantage of the Holy Spirit and we must also do the same. And definitely, we will do well. Amen. A memory verse for the morning shall be taken from 2 Peter 1 3. 2 Peter 1 3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. Amen. Amen. Let us share a word of prayer. Father, we thank you for your word that has come to us. Grant us the grace to apply these words in our lives daily. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. We trust that this morning's message has been a blessing. May you go out there and use that chief resource that you have to accomplish your divine assignment. In Jesus' name. Remain blessed.
