Facilitating today's devotion is Pastor Benjamin Brissmith from Harvest Chapel International Kumasi. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for the gift of life and the privilege and the honor to hear your word. We pray that the entrance of your word will bring light and understanding, transforming and impacting our lives. In Jesus mighty name we pray with thanksgiving. Amen. Let us kindly affirm our confession from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous and then I will have good success. Amen. Our theme for this morning's devotion is Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord. And we shall take our scripture reading from Romans chapter 8 verse 28 and then 1st Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 18. Romans chapter 8 verse 28 reading from the New King James Version. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Amen. 1st Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 18. In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. The Lord add his blessing to the reading and hearing of his word. Let us all respond thanks be to God. Thank you Lord. To be thankful is to express gratitude to someone usually for some good or for an act of kindness shown you. As believers thanksgiving is not to be considered an optional act carried out only when we feel like doing so or when things are going as expected in our lives. The Lord instructs us through the Apostle Paul in 1st Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 18 to give thanks in all things and in all situations not only in the good times and seasons of breakthroughs and joy. This he says is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us. The very foundation and reason for the admonition to be thankful always. In Christ Jesus we are the children of God through faith. Galatians chapter 3 verse 26. And no gift can be more precious than this gift of salvation and sonship that we have received from God. Also we know that as children of God we are called according to his purpose hence all things emphasis on all things work together for our good. All things means all things both good and bad. They all work together for our good and hence we can maintain a constant posture of thanksgiving knowing very well that the end result of whatever we are seeing and experiencing currently no matter how gloomy and difficult it may be is ultimately working together for our good. Beloved you have every reason to be thankful. Do not let the enemy steal your praise. Do not let the storms and challenges of life hinder your sacrifices of thanksgiving unto your maker. Whatever you are going through now is not happening to you but for you in the mighty name of Jesus. Just lift up your voice in faith and gratitude and begin to thank God that all things are indeed working together for your good. Amen. It's time to take our memory verse and our memory verse for today shall be taken from 1st Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 18 reading from the New King James Version. In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Amen. Let's kindly share a word of prayer.
