The speaker begins by thanking the listeners for participating in a prayer session. They introduce themselves as Wendy and lead a prayer. The topic for the devotion is "Prayer Awaits" and the scripture reading is from Mark 7:7-11. The speaker shares their personal experience of growing up in a home where prayer was important and how they have seen the power of prayer in their life. They emphasize the importance of sincere and faithful prayer, and provide verses that support this. The speaker encourages listeners to be genuine in their prayers and believe that God will hear and answer. They end with a quote from Charles Spurgeon and a memory verse from Mark 11:24. The speaker concludes with a prayer and thanks the listeners for participating, inviting them to stay connected for more spiritual content. Shalom dear family, you are welcome to our morning blog devotion for today. God bless you for being a part of our Just Ended Prayer Startup Session. My name is Wendy and I am privileged to be facilitating this morning's Glory Devotion. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Dear God, we thank you so much for this morning. We thank you for this opportunity and this privilege to commune with you. We ask, O God, that you speak to our specific needs, even as we listen to your word. In Jesus' name, Amen. Let us kindly take our confession from Joshua 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. Our topic for this morning is Prayer Awaits. Prayer Awaits. And our scripture reading will be taken from Mark chapter 7, verse 7 to 11, reading from the New King James Version. Mark chapter 7, verse 7 to 11. Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. And he who seeks finds. And to him who knocks, it will be opened. Or what man is there among you? If a son asks for bread, will you give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will you give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him? We take the last verse, verse 11 again. If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him? Beloved, here ends the reading of the word of the Lord. Prayer Awaits. Prayer Awaits. I grew up in a home where before I could give my life to Christ, I started praying. This was mainly because my mom, who was a single parent of three girls, taught us the importance of prayer, made us understand that we needed God as a Savior, and she made sure we prayed together every evening. Like the Athenians mentioned in Acts chapter 17, verse 22, I started from a place of not knowing who I was praying to or how to pray effectively. However, God heard my desperate cry for salvation and saved me. Over the years, I have seen the power of prayer work in my life to break the nukes in my family, draw us closer to God, and totally change our lives for the better. I have seen God heal me from chronic diseases. I have seen God be a Father and Provider all the years of my life in a home with a single mother. I have seen great doors of miracles open, all because we dared to believe. I have seen prayers being answered the next day, and I have seen prayers answered in 20 years, all the while holding on to God and knowing that at the end of the day, prayer waits. Prayer waits when we offer it sincerely and with childlike faith, totally trusting in God's ability and His willingness to hear us and answer us. Matthew chapter 18 verse 3 to 4 Prayer waits when we have dealt with the sins in our lives. Isaiah chapter 59 verse 2 Prayer waits when we do not do it in haughtiness but with focus. Matthew chapter 6 verse 6 Prayer waits when it is backed by faith. Matthew chapter 17 verse 20 to 21 Prayer waits because even in our unfaithfulness, God is faithful. 2 Kings 2 verse 13 In the place of prayer, there should be no cause for pretense. God knows our hearts. He knows our deepest thoughts and He already knows what He wants to ask for, and He is more than willing to accomplish it. In prayer, God yearns to hear from us and to answer our prayers. Take everything to God in prayer because prayer waits. Let us end with this quote from Charles Spurgeon. If you believe in prayer at all, expect God to hear you. If you do not expect, He will not have. God will not hear you unless you believe He will hear you. But if you believe He will, He will be as good as you think. Amen. Amen. We'll take our memory verse from Mark chapter 11 verse 24. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. Amen. God bless you so much. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you so much for your word that has come to us. Assuring us that prayer waits. We pray dear Lord that you help us in our prayer closets. Aiding to trust and to know that when we ask you anything, you will grant it unto us. We thank you for answered prayer. Jesus name. Amen. Beloved, God bless you so much for being a part of our morning prayer devotions for today. We want to encourage you to still stay connected here on Radio HCI today as we have more spirit filled content for your spiritual knowledge. Until we come your way again next time, have a blessed day. Shalom.
