Brit Chadasha Portion for 07/29/2023

In Matthew 5:38-42, Jesus teaches that instead of seeking revenge, we should not resist evil. If someone slaps you, turn the other cheek. If someone sues you for your inner garment, give them your outer garment too. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with them. Lastly, don't turn away from someone who asks for help or wants to borrow something. Matthew, Chapter 5, Verses 38-42. You heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I say to you, Do not resist the wicked. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. And he who wishes to sue you, and take away your inner garment, let him have your outer garment as well. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him too. But to him who asks of you, and from him who wishes to borrow from you, do not turn away.
