You know how as kids our parents made us brush our teeth all the time, or as parents we're making our kids brush their teeth all the time too. Well after this episode, every time I'm brushing my teeth, I said it really right, teeth, I'm thinking differently. Now you heard me correctly, I said teeth, and I'll explain this in a minute. Aside from the obvious, did you know that the oral cavity, pets and humans, is the second largest and diverse area for bacteria, good and bad, and it has actually over 700 different kinds of bacteria. Also did you know the studies have shown 80-90%, that's 80-90% of dogs over the age of 3 have some level of dental disease. And it's even worse for the little guys. Dr. Emily Stein, a microbiologist, and really basically just a plethora of many other things, she joins me. And she's got this really cool story. When her grandmother had her tooth extracted, and her 10-year-old rescue dog, Tinsley, had complications due to his teeth, I said it again, she went to the drawing board to find a solution. Did you know that dental disease has been the cause of many, many things, let's give you a few, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's and dementia, obesity, diabetes and metabolic disorders, arthritis, and just a bunch of other things. Now she's got that stubborn streak. When she decides to figure something out, she doesn't stop until she does. And sure enough, she discovered a solution on how about getting rid of the bad bacteria and keeping the good bacteria would really help these different disorders. She came up with this product for both pets and us. It's called, wait for it, Teeth for Life. There it is, Teeth. I just love the name, and I'm probably still going to be using teeth. It's just kind of part of my personality. Today's episode was so fun, Emily was just a joy, she was really cool, she was informative, and we just had a good time, and I think it carries through an episode. Wait till you hear her, I think you're going to be having fun too, I'm kind of sure of it. So sit back and get ready for another really great episode.
