In this video, the speaker discusses potential new locations that could be seen in the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. They mention Rune, a region in the far eastern side of Middle-earth that becomes one of Sauron's allies, and Kamul, the Easterling King who becomes one of the Nazgul. They also mention the Grey Havens, a port in the Elven Realm of Lindon, and Pelagia, a port city of Gondor. They speculate on how these locations might be visually different from the Peter Jackson films. They also mention Andinae, a port city in Numenor, and Lorien, the elven kingdom ruled by Amdur in the Second Age. Lastly, they discuss Mordor and the potential power struggle between Sauron and Adar, as well as the mention of Greenwood the Great. The speaker encourages viewers to share which location they are most excited to see in the upcoming season. Hello friends and welcome back to another video where today we will be looking at new places and locations that we could see in The Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power Season 2. With a new season coming up we should see new locations that we haven't seen before on screen, especially in this show. And throughout this video we're going to be looking at which places are more likely to be seen and what we can expect as well. So make sure to like and subscribe and join our discord with the link being the top line in the description below. But without further ado, let's get right into it. First of all, the one place that is on everybody's mind is Rune, the large region in the far eastern side of Middle-earth, that throughout the story gets impacted by Sauron slash Annatar and eventually becomes one of his bigger allies. Along with Rune we might even see Kamul, the Easterling King, that once was who was once a mortal man and ruler of Rune, before he became one of the nine Nazgul that we know of. We're expecting to see Norri and the Stranger travel towards that side of the world and possibly end up arriving there. It is going to be quite interesting to see the architecture that is going to be different from what we have seen from the Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits slash Half-Woods and Men so far in Middle-earth across all adaptations. In Peter Jackson's adaptation they had more of a Middle-Eastern inspiration to them which is quite exciting, whether that will be a parallel here we will have to wait and see. The new aesthetic which could include sand dunes, hot temperatures and maybe even a different visual colour palette with supposedly orange or yellow tint will truly show that we are exploring new regions in Middle-earth. Next up we have the Grey Havens also known as Mithlont which is an Elven port that is located on the Gulf of Lune in the Elven Realm of Lindon. We have seen it before for a split second in the movies but this time around we are probably going to see another character that is there too which is Cirdan the Shipwright that will become an important figure in the Rings of Power and is confirmed for the second seasons and also the seasons that will follow since he is not only considered Cirdan the Shipwright that will become an important figure in the Rings of Power and that seasons that will follow since he is not only considered as one of the wisest and most strongest Elves but he will also be one of the three holders of the Elven Rings alongside Galadriel and Gil-galad. An interesting question arising from us seeing the Grey Havens is how visually different they will go with the location from what we saw in the Peter Jackson film trilogy. Funnily enough acclaimed illustrator John Howe who also worked on the Lord of the Rings movies earlier last year already confirmed that he has started working on the illustrations and designs for the Grey Havens for the Rings of Power so it will be interesting to see which way it goes whether it sticks closely for example like Narsil the sword we saw in episode 4 in The Tower which is similar to Aragorn's sword and design from the Peter Jackson movies. Furthermore we know that during the War of the Elves and Sauron the Numenoreans dock and land at Mithlond before they push back the offence on Lindon so it will be interesting to see if this will be set up for probably season 3 when the Numenoreans come. Pelagia is a great port city on the river Anduin and the main harbour of Gondor. This being a place for the faithful it can be the perfect place to show the difference between the Kingsmen that have taken over in Numenor and a way to portray that Elendil isn't alone and there is still hope for the men of Numenor outside of their own island. Pelagia is also going to be another human settlement we see in the show as so far the only ones we have seen have been the villages in the Southlands and those weren't the most extraordinary. We did have some set photos which show a port like set village and it could be highly likely that this is indeed Pelagia but this is not yet confirmed. I said Gondor instead of Numenor so put this Numenor on top of it. Numenor. Speaking of Numenor one place that we hadn't had the chance yet to visit is Andinae which is located on the upper western shores of Numenor and possibly the place where Anarion is currently staying who is the brother of Isildur. We learned during this conversation in the Rings of Power that he, Anarion stayed there while the rest of his family left and felt like this and he felt like this was the real Numenor. So maybe this is the location that Anarion perceives to be the real Numenor, Andinae. One reason why it could be Andinae is because it is the port city where the Numenoreans received their elven friends from Tol Eressë. Furthermore, compared to what is happening on different parts of Numenor, Andinae is still a refuge for the faithful where the faith towards the Valar is still intact and pure. Something that cannot be said for the Kingsmen and potentially Armenelos which is currently probably the city that we see in the Rings of Power. They would still receive elves in secret here but whether it's something that we'll actually see in the Rings of Power or not, that's still a mystery. One location that we're equally excited to see is Lorien, also known as Lothlorien later on in the Third Age. One location that we're equally excited to see is Lorien, also known as Lothlorien later on in the Third Age. The realm that will eventually be the one that Galadriel and her husband Celeborn will rule over. But in the Second Age, Lorien is ruled by a Sindarin king named Amdur. This elven kingdom is known for its large forest and gorgeous and tall trees which is second to none. Something that everyone that has seen the Peter Jackson movies definitely will remember, the Malon trees. It is going to be interesting to see how Lothlorien is going to look before Galadriel will take over and the changes that will happen whether it's through her own choices or the differences that her ring Nenya will make. But for the time being, Galadriel isn't in the position to be a ruler or at least she's not interested in ruling a kingdom yet since her hands are already full with dealing with Sauron. But who knows, maybe it's still a location that we're able to see and then in later seasons will be the place that is centre and home for Galadriel. And maybe even so with Celeborn, her husband and even her child Celebrian who we haven't heard anything of thus far. At the end of the first season of the Rings of Power, we saw the creation of Mordor and also that quite fun transition scene and now that we have Halbaron slash Sauron in Mordor, it is a certainty that we're going to see more of this part of Arda. We might witness its growth or the opposite, how the conflict between Adar and Sauron is going to impact the orcs and whether they'll have to make decisions on whose side they're on or more. From one of our scoops, so spoiler warning, we know that we will see Shelob for a short period so maybe we will see her in the lands of Mordor where she dwelled for a number of years. Another reason why Mordor is so important as mentioned earlier is because we might get to the beginning of a power struggle happening here. As Adar who is the father of the orcs and currently has their support is currently the person with the most power in Mordor but of course we saw Halbaron aka Sauron walk there at the end of season 1 so there will be some mischief happening there. Regardless, Mordor is definitely an exciting place that we want to see more of. The final location in today's video is Greenwood the Great. This location was even name dropped by Sadoc Boros the Halford when trying to explain the route to the Stranger to find the Star Constellation. So during this period of the Second Age, the Greenwood was ruled by Oropher who was the father of Thranduil and both those characters including Thranduil are characters fans are dying to see so let's hope we get the opportunity to maybe see them and maybe the Moon Stranger and Nori will pass through here on their way to Rune though this is quite unlikely. Thank you guys for watching, we really appreciate it. Make sure to let us know which location you are most excited to see in the second season and why.
