In this video update, the host discusses the latest updates for Season 2 of Rings of Power. Some events occurred on set, including a visit from the Prince and Princess of Wales and a fire that broke out but was quickly contained. Unfortunately, a horse also died during filming, which saddened the cast and crew. Set photos were shared, including one of Isildur and a character named Hela in a forest location. There were also photos of orcs and destroyed sets. Some filming took place in Tenerife, Spain, and new cast members were introduced. In other news, it was reported that only 37% of US audiences finished the first season of Rings of Power, but there were positive updates, such as the addition of actor Ciaran Hines to the cast. Hello friends and welcome back to another video where today we will be going through all the latest updates for the Rings of Power Season 2. The last update video we did was back in March and since then we have gotten some interesting updates. Therefore the information in today's video will be in chronological order. Make sure to like and subscribe but without further ado let's get right into it. So first off we have some events that happened on the set at Bray Studios and surrounding filming locations for Season 2. The Prince and Princess of Wales alongside their children visited the set and apparently enjoyed it with Prince William apparently being a massive fan of the films. Then things started to turn south for a bit where a fire broke out at Bray Studios and the fire brigade was called but in the end it wasn't as bad as first thought because a warehouse at the back of the set had caught fire and filming resumed later that day. However there was some more sad news as it was revealed that a horse had died at Shottersbrook Park in between a battle charge take and this left both cast and crew deeply upset as well. Across the filming there have been a myriad of set photos from the filming with the most substantial ones being this photo taken of Isildur and the actor Nia Tal playing the character codenamed Hela. This was taken on location in a forest so it could be after Isildur survives Mordor. We have some cool set photos of Orcs such as this one on screen right now which shows how good the prosthetic work has been for Season 2 similar to Season 1. Finally we have these drone set photos which firstly showed the Eregion set destroyed with the Fëanor statue knocked down, then a battle set from Swinley Forest from what seems to be an Eregion wall alongside a trebuchet. During this whole filming period some of the Rings of Power casting crew even went to Tenerife, Spain for filming of its second season and we were able to reveal footage and the appearance of the Stranger and presumably Norry Brandyfoot. We also learnt that more cast were flown in as well. The main bet is that Tenerife will be the location for Rune. Some more shocking news came out surrounding the first season of The Rings of Power from a seemingly hit piece by The Hollywood Reporter at Amazon Studios boss Jennifer Solke whereby it was revealed that only 37% of audiences in the US finished the entirety of the first season. Some apparent reasons given were due to the slow build up of the first few episodes leaving viewers disengaged. Over 50% would be an alright but not amazing figure to put it into context. However, there was some more positive news as it was revealed that Ciaran Hines had joined the cast of The Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power Season 2 alongside Rory Kinnear, best known for the James Bond films and Tanya Moody, best known for Motherland. The acclaimed actor Ciaran Hines was a big get for The Rings of Power and has left fans very excited.
