Today's discussion focused on the upcoming Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The hosts discussed the advantages and injuries of both teams' quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. They also debated who should be the MVP of the season and discussed the strengths of the Eagles' defense. The conversation then shifted to potential free agents in the NFL, including Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, and Geno Smith. The hosts gave their opinions on where these players might end up. The episode concluded with a mention of Drew Lock and a promise to return with more discussions in the future. All right, today we're going to talk about the Super Bowl. We got the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Eagles. So who has the advantage in this game? Well, to me, I don't see an advantage for no one here in this game. I mean, you can go defense, it's the Eagles, offense, it's Kansas City, but this is going to be a good one, man. And despite the injuries to both QBs, we're going to see a great game. These guys are going to tough it out and give it their all in Vegas this upcoming Sunday. Not this Sunday, but next Sunday. So we know both quarterbacks is kind of injured now. Which injury do you think is the worst out of the two? I'm not sure which one is the worst, but, I mean, the throwing shoulder of Hurts, we didn't see him throw too much in the NLT Championship game, because the run game was really good. But the couple of throws that he did throw, he looked okay, but didn't really have to work that much. And Patrick Mahomes, the ankle injury, he looked good against the Bengals. So I'm not sure which one would affect the team the most, but, I mean, if you come down to it, to me, I would have to say Mahomes, because if he gets in trouble, because the defense is so great at the Philly, would he be able to run out of a pressure situation like he usually does and get that first down? Because Jayden Legg is going to work, you know, when he runs, how dangerous it is when he gets down the field. So if it comes down to the battle of running, he's definitely going to win that game. So we'll see. And that's the thing, like, even though, like, Mahomes probably got the worst injury, he still make it look easy, because, like, it don't even look like he was injured. Like, the throws, he can make any throw, even, he can still run out, like, get out of the pocket a little bit. And, you know, he don't need that much time, because he got so much great, like, weapons around him. Definitely. But, if the Eagles are able to lock up the passing game a bit, put some pressure on his leg to see what he's made of and see what's going on there, then you'll know if the injury is affecting him or not. Mahomes, he doesn't get the credit for the little runs that he does do, because the kid can go. You think, like, he's the MVP over Hurts, or you think Hurts got the MVP over him? Nah, I think Hurts got the MVP over him. And a lot of people talk about how Philly's schedule was very weak this year, but, I mean, they're the real deal, man. You don't get 70 sacks on a defensive line like that. That just doesn't happen. I don't care how bad the team or the performance you're playing. This is the NFL. They're a really solid team, man. They're really good. Yeah, I like them. I like their defense, too. I don't think the Chiefs' defense can match up to theirs, but I still think Mahomes, you know, is the MVP over him because he led the league in touchdowns, passing yards, and all that. Like, those are the main stats. And if he leading the league in those main stats, like passing yards and touchdowns and passing ratings, then I think that he in there with the number one seed in the AFC. So, yeah, Philly's arguably right there with the match. So, but we'll see what it all comes down to. Who are you picking? Um, honestly? Tough, man. I'm rooted for the kid hurt. I am. I'm really rooted for him. Even though he's the Spidey beat the Niners. I'm rooted for the guy because I know when he first got there, Philly wasn't really feeling him like that, especially after the first season. A lot of those fake fans try to get rid of the kid. They just got to wait. You know, this kid played in the SEC, went to two different teams, Oklahoma and Alabama, and led those teams deep. So, he has it all. He has all the tools to get it done. I think he has the better story, like if he do win. But, I honestly, I don't know. It's a toss-up. Like they both good teams, but I just feel like I shouldn't bet against the Holmes. He's incredible. You got to give him some. Patrick Holmes is the man. You got to give him his props. The guy is just phenomenal. I think this is what, five straight AFC championships? He's incredible. Yeah, but I don't know. Philly's defense, that would be the biggest factor in the game. If their defense can outplay the Chiefs defense, then Philly has a better chance of winning. That's what I say. I don't really have a short pick, but if I had to, I would probably go with my Holmes just because I don't like betting against him. He's been the best quarterback, in my opinion, the whole season. So, I ain't going to go against the best QB. And, it would be a guy you don't bet against. Even if it is a great defense. If someone can do something to their defense, it is Patrick Holmes. He's the man. He can make every throw in every situation. And then, he has that dog, Travis Kelsey. Just incredible. It's time to move off. So, three agents this offseason. Let's talk about some of them. We got Lamar Jackson. What do you think he's going to do with Baltimore? Baltimore's going to franchise tag him. I know that I'm just going to let him go. Fight that. They're going to franchise tag him one more year. And, maybe see what the market of the trade value is for him. But, he's definitely going to get a franchise tag. And, end up probably getting traded. Because, I don't think they're going to pay him the money that he wants. I don't think that they're going to pay him. I agree with that statement. But, I think they like that ugly dude who backed up on him. I think they're going to probably say, you know, he's the closest thing to Lamar Jackson. So, we're going to pay him less and let Lamar walk. And, that's what I think they're going to do. Yeah, that's why they're going to throw the tag on him. So, they can get something for him. It's not going to go for free. They're definitely going to trade him. Not sure they will. But, pretty sure there's going to be a lot of suitors out there for him. Lamar, he can change the franchise around. Who do you think he'll look good at? Which team? Right now, the team that you probably can plug and play in. Make something happen. I like Tennessee, honestly. Tennessee? Yeah. They're in a weak division. They almost ended up in the playoffs again this year. But, I mean, they have a good defense over there. I didn't think that they'll be even in the conversation of getting Lamar. But, if they are, that would be crazy with him and Derrick Henry. I think they can run the read option all season. You can't stop it. All right, what about Saquon Barkley? He a free agent. No way. He was there everything this year. So, there's no way they don't sign him back. He has to come back. They let him go. They're done. The team is done. Yeah, I agree. I think they should bring him back. I've been hearing that they may not bring him back. What do they have to replace him? Nothing. Exactly. But, you know, they don't want to pay these guys, especially running backs. The fan base will be trashing him. Because he was there everything. He's the only reason they wouldn't even end the playoffs this year. Exactly. I agree with that. I agree with that. Keep Barkley. They go Daniel Jones. No, they go keep that. He didn't play bad in the playoffs, but that's nothing you can move in the future with, I don't think. What about Gino Smith? Seattle is definitely going to sign him back. They don't have a choice. What else are you going to get? I mean, Derrick Carr is out there, but, I mean, you stick with the guy that's already in the system. He already won more games than you even expected, and he looks good in their office. So, they're definitely going to sign him back. He's coming back to Seattle. Yeah, I think he's going to come back, too. He deserves to be paid, definitely. And he knows the system. Drew Locke, he's not a guy that you can just bring in to save a franchise after letting go Gino. Drew Locke can't save himself. Thank you, guys, for tuning in. We'll be back with another one soon.
