The speaker explains that their music taste is diverse and they enjoy songs that evoke real and raw emotions. They mention a few songs that represent them, including "87 Stingray" by Tory Lanez, "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven, "Lovin' You Is Fun" by Eason Corbin, "Sweater Weather" by The Neighborhood, and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. They emphasize that music is a way for them to express themselves and ask their friend about their own music preferences. Music is an important part of my everyday routine. In my other time of day, music is either blasting on a speaker, or playing in my headphones. I often get the question, what is your favorite genre of music, or who is your favorite artist? But I can't answer these questions with just one answer. My music taste is very diverse, and many people probably wouldn't see me as one who has listened to some of these songs, but that's what I love about music the most. Basing the type of music I listen to, based on the community I'm in, is not the type of person I am. Instead, I fill my playlist with music that I can feel real and raw emotions with. This is my identity as music. My first song is 87 Stingray by Tory Lanez. This is one of those songs that you start tapping onto the beat instantly. When also paired with his soothing voice, this song, whose lyrics talk about that tingling, joyful, and addictive emotion you feel when in love, will make you want to listen to it on repeat all day long. This next song switches up the tempo a little bit. Paralyzer by Finger Eleven is a rock beat that I listen to when I want to feel energized. The loud and fast tempo of this song almost gives me the effect of drinking an energy drink. That might sound a little silly, but it's a true emotion I feel when I listen to this song. This pop song was a big part of my childhood. My mom always had this song playing, which is probably why I listen to it quite often. Lovin' You Is Fun by Eason Corbin is a country song that I can still tell it's my thing. The lyrics follow the rhythm of the song, which grabs the attention of the listener and makes them want to sing along. Growing up in a small toughy town and attending a high school that has a farm on campus, definitely made it hard to us to not listen to and love country music. This song is another that talks about the emotions you feel while in love. It's upbeat and one that I will happily sing, even on a bad day. The next throwback is Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood. It is impossible to not love this song. The slower but still upbeat pop song fits into most of the feel-good and sad comforts. Rain or shine, this song gives you this feeling of comfort and also nostalgia. I can confidently say that this is either my favorite song or a close second, but it is definitely one that I will play on for hours. This next iconic song by Nirvana is Smells Like Teen Spirit. This guitar and drum heavy song makes me reminisce on times with my best friends. We would sing this song as loud as we could, no matter where we were. When I want to listen to something loud and maybe a little obnoxious, this is definitely my go-to. This is one of those songs that some people wouldn't seem to love it, but it's definitely one of my top hits. Now that you've seen some of the songs that represent me best, you know that my music taste is kind of all over the place, but that's what I mean, because music is how I express myself. Listening to music that you know that you love and gives you the raw, happy, sometimes sad, but real emotions, is what music is supposed to do for you. So, what music do y'all listen to?
