The transcription is about an interview with the speaker's aunt, Fatima, who immigrated to the United States and had to start a new life. Fatima motivated herself to have a better future and worked hard to learn English and find a good job. She felt a strong sense of purpose when she started feeling comfortable with English. Fatima demonstrated expertise in her work, receiving compliments from her boss and coworkers. She advises others to believe in themselves and not give up. The main lesson learned is that everyone has to step out of their comfort zone to succeed. I know that many people have immigrated to the United States earlier and had to start a new life here with nothing with them and no help from anyone with where to start. I am going to be interviewing my aunt Fatima. She has came here when she was about 25 years old with her husband to find a new job here and start a new life. Hello Fatima, how are you? The first question I would like to ask is when you moved here to America, did anyone motivate you to do anything in life or did you know exactly what you wanted to do? Hi Alma, I'm doing good. When I come to the United States, I don't know where I go and what I do. I motivate myself to have a better future in my life. That was a great answer. Describe a situation where you had to work on a project independently. How did you approach it and what was the outcome? I push myself, go to school, learn English to have my better job right now. I really like that answer Fatima. How can you share a specific moment or experience in your life that made you feel a strong sense of purpose or fulfillment? When I learn English and at that time I start to feel comfortable and better about myself. Yes, I finally feel very good and fit in. Even if people keep telling me that I'm not need feel bad if I'm not speak English, that I'm always welcome to them. That's very great to hear Fatima. Can you provide examples of projects or tasks where you feel you have demonstrated a high level of expertise or mastery? I feel like when I get compliments from my boss and other people that I work a long time with, my co-workers, and how much I grow, I feel like I have entered mastery level. And I'm very happy day to day when I hear that. I am like that too Fatima. When people give me compliments, I feel very much better about myself and my day gets better. One more rapid fire question. Best advice you have given and from who? If you want to step up, believe in yourself and do not give up. Thank you so much Fatima for joining me and answering some questions. From today's podcast, I have picked up and learned that even when you feel unmotivated to do anything or just need to come here from so far, you have to start somewhere and you have to not give up. Not just Fatima, but everyone has moved out of their comfort zone to help with something in the future, whether it be a job or just life. Everyone has or will come to a situation where they have to step out of their comfort zone and communicate and just try their best to succeed. Thank you again Fatima for joining and helping answer some questions today. Thank you for listening and have a great rest of your day everyone.
