The Bible does address the concept of a person's true purpose in various ways. It offers guidance and insights into the meaning and direction of human life. Before we dive in, it is important to note that interpretations of the passages that I'm going to talk about today can vary among different Christian denominations, but I do have six key biblical principles that are related to the purpose of life. Number one, love and serve God. In the New Testament, particularly in the Gospels, Jesus emphasizes the greatest commandments as love for God and love for one's neighbor. In Matthew 22, 37, 39, Jesus says, So, learning to love and serve God should be at the forefront when you start to think about your bigger purpose in life. Number two, my second biblical principle that is related to the purpose of life, is about God's plan for every person as an individual. The Bible suggests that God has a plan for each and every person. In Jeremiah 29, 11, it's written, So, not only do we need to love our neighbors, love God most importantly, but we can always rest assured that God has a plan and a purpose for you, for each and every person. God has a plan. He's had a plan since before we were born. So, what else does the Bible say about our true purpose? Number three is using gifts for God's glory. The Bible speaks about spiritual gifts and it encourages believers to use your unique talents and abilities for the service of God and others. In 1 Peter 4, 10-11, it states, When you think about the things that you're good at, the things that you're really talented at, and you don't even have to try that hard, do you think about ways that you can use that specific talent in a way that gives God glory, that glorifies Him, that helps to spread the word about Him, that helps share the gospel? If not, you definitely should. We always want to use our gifts for God's glory. The fourth key biblical principle from the Bible is seeking God's will. Proverbs 3, verses 5-6 advises, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight. Seeking and aligning your will with God's is seen as integral. It is a mandatory thing in order for you to find your true purpose. You've got to be able to align what you want with what God has given you. My fifth biblical principle is one that I've alluded to already, but it's all about spreading the gospel. It's the Great Commission. In Matthew 28, verses 19-20, Jesus gives the Great Commission, saying, Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. That's the Great Commission. It is to share the word of God. It is to spread the gospel to all nations. You hear commercials that talk about different areas in the world that don't even have access to a Bible, and that helps you to understand a little bit better the Great Commission. It is making sure that everybody has the opportunity to learn about God. The sixth key biblical principle that is related to the purpose of life that I wanted to talk about today is fulfillment through relationship with God. Ecclesiastes is a book that reflects on the meaning of life, and it concludes that true purpose and fulfillment are found in a relationship with God. In Ecclesiastes 12, verse 13, it says, Now all has been heard. Here is the conclusion of the matter. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. Interpreting and understanding these various passages in the context of your faith and your personal journey is essential for you as a Christian if you're seeking to discern your true purpose in life, and you're seeking it in a way that is based on biblical teachings. Understanding the information that I've talked about today, the different passages that I've read today, it is essential, and it's necessary if you really want to know what your true purpose in life is. Now, if you need a little help with this, I actually created a survey, a little quiz. I love quizzes. I was always one of those that when you're scrolling through Facebook way back in the day, like think 10 years ago, when quizzes, whether it's like what is your spirit animal or what is your, I would always do the ones that, you know, what were you meant to do? Because I love quizzes so much, and I always have, I actually created one. It's called Unlock Your Divine Potential, Discover Your True Purpose Quiz. It's actually on my website. If you want to go check it out, feel free. It's just Discover Your True Purpose Quiz. It will unveil the divine potential that is within you. It will help you to gain clarity on what your path in life should be. It will help to uncover your hidden talents, which of course is the foundation of your purpose. That's your God-given talent is your foundation, but the quiz is actually designed to help you identify and embrace your innate abilities. It will help you ignite passion. You know, once you figure out what your true purpose is, it's not a destination. It's actually a journey, and it's filled with passion and enthusiasm once you really find out what it is. But discovering your God-given talent is the spark that can really set your life on fire with purpose and meaning, and it helps you to live authentically. You know, if you're able to embrace your unique gifts and it allows you to live in an authentic way, there's no better feeling than living authentically to who you are. The quiz will actually help you recognize distinctive qualities that make you who you are, and it'll empower you to live a life true to yourself. So if you take the quiz, you can just go to my website at www.ForwardsCareerServices.com and scroll down. It's about halfway down the page. You'll see the quiz. It's just a link. You click on it. It'll give you customized results. You'll get a personalized report that details, you know, what your unique talents are and how they connect to your life's purpose. Also, it'll give you some actionable insights, which are, you know, practical steps and recommendations on how to integrate your talents into your daily life for maximum fulfillment. And then it'll give you, you know, some exclusive resources. You can gain access to a treasure trove of resources, including expert advice, inspiring stories, and tools to support you on your journey, on your purposeful journey. So it's just three steps. One, take the quiz. You know, you're going to answer some thought-provoking questions that are designed to unveil the layers of your true self. Then step two, you receive your results. You unlock the door to your divine potential with a comprehensive report tailored to your individual strengths. And then step three, embark on your purposeful journey. Now that you're armed with newfound insights, step into a life of purpose, passion, and fulfillment. So I hope that you do take the quiz. I hope you enjoy the quiz and hope you're able to have a little fun while doing it as well. But just remember that we're all going to interpret and understand passages from the Bible differently. We are all born and built with different innate talents and abilities. One person who is a great artist may be a horrible athlete, where someone that is a great athlete may be a horrible doctor or scientist. And so we all have different unique talents and traits and things that we love to do and things that we're passionate about. And God blessed you with those. And so it's important for you to know what they are, how to use them to give God the glory. And we all want to know what our true purpose is and what a life to live when you can live out your true purpose. So I hope you enjoyed today's episode and I hope you'll actually take the time to go do the quiz. It only takes a few minutes. So go check it out at forwardscareerservices.com and let me know what you think about it. Hey there, Ambitious Mama, I hope you enjoyed today's episode of the Christian Career Coach Podcast.
