Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to another installment of Dunkin' with Dougan. Blast Barbie. Thank you for tuning in. Today, we have a special guest star, it's Daddy the Rockies. Daddy the Rockies. He's a massive fan of the NBA, here to join us and share his wisdom. Daddy the Rockies is a Denver Nuggets fan. Yes, sir. Were you happy about seeing Nikola Jokic on the All-NBA First Team? I am. I think he deserves it. For sure. Yeah. What are your thoughts on Luka Doncic having more All-NBA First Teams than Stephen Curry? I mean, that's just telling everybody that Steph Curry's getting old and he's getting washed. So, I mean, Luka's the next runner-up for that. Yeah. Yep. Good for him. Next-gen player right there. 25 years old. I mean, imagine how many he's going to have in the future. He's had six seasons in the league and five of them he's been All-NBA First Team. Well, he showed it last night. We also have Shea Gildress Alexander, good pick. And then Jason Tatum. I don't know about Jason Tatum. Little overrated there in life. Yeah. Giannis Antetokounmpo as well. I mean, Jason Tatum, all of his stats went down. Mostly because of Tingus Pingus and all extra additions on the Celtics kind of carried the load off of him. But over Jalen Brunson on the second team. Jalen Brunson had a breakout year and I just kind of, I just can't get with it. I think Brunson should have been All-NBA First Team. I know all of the New Yorkers agree with you on that one, Duke. Then we got KD on second team. Why is KD on that? Anthony Davis on second team. Another huge error in the choice right there. Anthony Davis over his teammate LeBron James. That's crazy. That is definitely questionable. And then we have Kawhi Leonard on there as well. And then Anthony Edwards, good pick. And then finally for third team, we got Devin Booker, fine pick, that's a fine pick. Steph Curry on the third team. That's, wow. Halliburton. Should have been moved up. Halliburton. You think Halliburton's All-NBA Second Team? Yeah. Yeah, for sure. That's so true. And then King James on All-NBA Third Team. Are there 10 better players than LeBron James in the NBA right now? And then DeMatha Saban is the most underrated player in the league. Should be on the second team, replacing AD in my opinion. For real, that's a good take right there. So speaking of All-NBA First Team, normally it's covered by TNC. Sadly. Tell us about what's going down. End of an era. End of an era. TNT. Inside the NBA. Inside the NBA. It's not going to be run anymore. TNT has lost their rights to NBC and Amazon. So it is the end of an era. In fact, they talk about Ernie not even coming back, really. Shaq and Kenny and Charles look like they're going to be picked up by any of the organizations that get these rights. But Ernie, not so much. He doesn't want to. He's 70 years old. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. He's not going to be back. That is definitely a target priority for the Daddy Denver Nuggets. Yep. That's so much the Daddy Denver Nuggets right now. No, they are the Daddy Denver Nuggets. No, and there was a news report out that Cronky, Josh Cronky, said they have to become the hunters, not the hunted. Mmm. So, I'm going to change that, you know, complacency. Can Daddy Oakage do a push-up? Oh, that is a good question. You never know. You never know. All right, what's next for the Denver Nuggets besides that building a deep bench, which the Rockies is 100% correct about. They had a super deep bench when they won the chip. Yeah, they've lost some good contributors like Bruce Brown, and they need a lock-in, too. I'm going to ask the unaskable question. When do we see Malone fired? We see every coach in the league with a bad performance getting fired. Cleveland fired their coach today, right? Yes. So, why is he off the table? Just because he's kind of, like, been with them for so long, and Daddy Oakage likes him. I just don't see it really happening. He's kind of a part of the culture. I could see him there for the next 20 years, honestly. Do you think it's just that Daddy Oakage likes him, and he's a player's coach, so therefore, you know, it's the LeBron James, got to like your coach thing, and the number one player is going to keep their coach? Or do you really think he's going to be there for years, or it's just the amount of time that the Joker's there? It's also chemistry. I mean, if the whole team likes him, which I'm assuming they do, I mean, keep him. He's not a bad coach, but his decision-making could be improved. Improved a little bit, yeah. It kind of faltered there in the finals there. Yeah. Really the frustration got to him, and he hadn't seen that before so much in his career with the Nuggets. Yeah, he was getting heated. So I think that really was their downfall, to be honest with you. Yeah. One thing that I thought was quite depressing was that Malone could hear the Timberwolves celebrating in his post-press conference. The locker room apparently is pretty close to the press conference. What did we think about the Dallas Mavericks and the Timberwolves last night? A great game, first of all, from keeping you engaged back and forth. Just tons of effort from both teams. Yeah, daddy Dallas. I mean, I've seen a lot of comparisons that the Timberwolves are going to destroy the Mavericks because they won three out of four match-ups in the regular season. I mean, Phoenix won three out of all of their match-ups in the regular season. They got swept by the Timberwolves. And the three games that they lost, either Luka or Kyrie or both, were not playing. And so I just think that they really are – they're here to play, and their trade deadline of acquisitions has just been so pivotal for their success. And I see them going to the finals. I don't know. I'm on the fence, though. You know, I'm a T-Wolves fan, and I think that Edwards has this mentality that nobody else has in the league that is like, I'm going to make it happen. He looked a little tired to me. There were some questionable calls. All of these games have had questionable calls. And they were really pivotal, especially the goaltending call. That really wasn't goaltending on Kat. So, you know, I still am hoping that Minnesota pulls it out, and I have a strong belief in Edwards. And the whole group of that team, because they are so in sync and really there for each other. Yeah. I mean, I really feel like Minnesota is going to pull this series off. I mean, they're going to figure it out. They figured it out with the Nuggets. They're going to figure it out with Dallas, because Dallas' core is not as good. I mean, they're not as big. That's really it. That's their core, is Luka and Kyrie. Don't forget about Daniel Gafford. Yeah. I think that a good idea could be switching Anthony Edwards off of Kyrie, because he kind of – he could not really guard Kyrie at all. He was excited for the matchup, and Kyrie was cooking him. Kyrie had 30 points, and he kind of just wore out Anthony Edwards. He was putting all of his effort into defense. He couldn't really put in a lot of effort for offense. Well, and they usually get so many defensive stops, and they didn't in that game. They're a defensive team, so they do have to change what their rotations are to make that happen and win those games. Yeah, sure. And Jada McDaniels, oh, my goodness, team high, 25 points, and he played pretty good defense on Luka. I mean, you can only play so much defense on Luka. He altered some shots, got some good defense, and just really – without Jada McDaniels, the Timberwolves would have been cooked a long time ago. He's a big role player. Only time will tell. So, I'm looking forward to this whole series. It's going to be a great series. It's going to go to seven. Yeah. We'll see what happens. Let's go to you, Wolf. What did you guys think about the Celtics Pacers? My goodness. Dude, I should have bet on that game. I was sad. I was sad about it because Pacers had it, and I said Pacers and seven because I just do not buy into the whole Jason Tatum finals guy. I don't. He's not greedy enough. Yeah, he's the number one player. No. So, it's sad what happened. I mean, Jalen Brown coming in clutch right there for that last seven-second play. And it was decent defense from Pascal Siakam not to foul. It was a tough shot, and he made it. Yeah, that was great, actually. And then Drew Holliday, probably the best defender in the entire league, and he has been for some time. He absolutely locked up Halliburton and cooked on offense. I saw that the Celtics are 39-1 when Drew Holliday scores more than 14 points, and he has 26. Dang. Honestly, do you think it's going to go like five or six games? I think it will be five games because the Celtics have lost game two in all their series so far, even against the Heat. I think they can lose game two, but honestly, I think Celtics in five. I'm switching it up from Celtics in six. I don't think so. It was too close. They made a lot of mistakes. It was a little sloppy on their part, you know? And I do think what cost the Pacers the game was their lack of experience in the playoff. That really high-pressure moment, they didn't connect, right? Yeah. And so they're going to learn from it, and they're coming back hungry. So it's definitely not in five. All right. Well, thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for tuning in to another episode of Dunkin' with Duke Ann. We've got Barbie and our special guest. Daddy DeRocky. Thank you, Daddy DeRocky, for joining us. Of course. We will see you next time. Thank you for listening.
