Two frogs accidentally fall into a vat of cream and struggle to get out. One frog gives up, but the other keeps trying and eventually turns the cream into butter, allowing both frogs to escape. The story is used as a metaphor for facing challenges and not giving up. The speaker encourages listeners to push through difficulties, regardless of where they are in their current challenge. They urge listeners to challenge themselves and make the most of the time they have. We all know and love the story of the tortoise and the hare. So, here's another story of perseverance. Two frogs, yes, two more frogs, took a grandly accidental leap into a vat of fresh whole cream. They struggled and they struggled to escape the deep pot of liquid satin. And though the top was not wide, it was slippery. And try as they might, they could not leap out. For a long while, they tread to keep their heads and their webbed feet working tirelessly to escape. At last, one frog declared that he was tired and there was no hope that he would rather drown willingly than continue the struggle. His friend was astonished. I can't get out, but I won't give in, he said, mustering all of his energy and pushing through the thickening cream and even more thrust than before. Moments later, the cream began to shape and shift into a solid butter. At once, the remaining frog ripped himself up and out of that pot that had contained him for so long. This tale of two frogs might remind you of a time that you were in a struggle. Perhaps you gave up, knowing that the struggle was not worth it to you at that time. Perhaps you stayed and fought and worked to figure it out, even when, like the frog, you had no idea how you could possibly be saved. We're heading into week four of an eight-week challenge. And as your coach, I can tell you that I have seen all kinds of frogs during this time. Some never really got started. And some started strong, but let life's circumstances pull them off course. And some found out that they could push through and discover new things about life and themselves. Perhaps you've not fully clicked into all the areas of the challenge and you feel like it's too late to adopt the nutrition part now. Or maybe you have been working on your nutrition, but you are sore and the workouts are a heavy burden to anticipate every day. Maybe you're going through the motions, but you know that you really could do a better job and get better results if you gave it your all. Wherever you are, heading into week four, I encourage you to challenge yourself. Truly, find out what you're made of. Ask the questions. Finally do the meal prep. Figure out how to make one of the recipes in the challenge cookbook. Ask a question that you've been wondering. Post on the Facebook group. See how you actually feel if you drink all of the water and take your rest seriously. This time is going to pass either way. Manswell turns some cream.
