The speaker reflects on how their perspective has changed regarding goals. They used to be disappointed if they didn't reach their goals, but now they understand that the arrival is not the main goal. Instead, they focus on how to eat and move in a way that makes them feel excellent. They apply this mindset to their business as well, prioritizing meaningful work over just reaching the end point. The speaker advises the listener to invest more interest in the process rather than the outcome, as the outcome will take care of itself. You arrive when the arrival is no longer the goal. This is a tough one for me. For most of my life, I've had very certain goals in mind. And if I didn't reach them, I was really disappointed. Can you relate to that in your fitness journey? If you had told me this, that you arrive when the arrival is no longer the goal, I would have completely written you off as not getting it. I would have thought that you meant that I needed to get rid of the goal, but that's not what this means at all. For example, for me, the goal to lose the weight is gone, so now the goal has shifted to how can I eat and move today in a way that will allow me to feel as excellent as I can. I want to grow my business, but getting to that end point is the goal. The goal is doing meaningful work that makes me proud today. So, you arrive when the arrival is no longer the goal. Your coach has asked you to complete several tasks this week. Invest more interest in the process than the outcome, and the outcome will take care of itself. I'm going to say it again. Invest more interest in the process than the outcome, and the outcome will take care of itself. Have a great day.
