They emphasize the importance of trusting oneself and ending the meditation with a grounding exercise. Good morning, everybody, and welcome to our Magic Monday Morning Meditation on Monday, May 20th, 2024. And if you are in the Northeast and if you're listening to that after this past weekend and as we just spoke about, we're so glad the rain is over for now and we have brighter times ahead of us. And we will highlight that and underline that with a good meditation to get us into our own space and to prepare for a lovely week ahead with all its challenges and with all its joys. So if you hear this in real time or if you're hearing this on recording, you can start to settle into your space and close your eyes and start to focus on your breath for a moment. And I always like this feeling that my body really knows the moment I say, let's close our eyes, my whole energy system settles down and my body says, oh, this is what we're doing again. And it automatically relaxes, settles into a space of a sanctuary, of safety, of the knowingness that there is some self-care that's ahead. The space to process through all of it, to reset the space. So notice if your breath is shallow and you're holding it all together and maybe some parts within your body are tight or there's pressure. And just become aware of it. There's nothing that needs to be done right away. Just allow it to be. Sometimes when we're all activated in some form or we had a lot of stress going on, we don't even notice where our body is at, where our nervous system is at. And we just, our head and our spiritual awareness and everything wants to jump right into meditating and getting it all on. But it is really important to take a moment and just become aware of where things are at. So when you breathe in, notice how deep your breath goes. And when you breathe out, notice if you are able to relax some of the tender spots within you. Maybe you've been holding on and weren't even aware of it. Your arm's really tight or a particular set of muscles in your arms or legs or stomach. You curl your toes, you lock your fingers together tightly, little things like that. And as you're becoming aware, see if it works to breathe into that a little bit. And see if it is in any way to be relaxed. And then go ahead and start to create a grounding cord, a form of grounding for your body that works well with today. And be as creative as you wish. A grounding doesn't always have to be a tree trunk or a waterfall or beam of light. It can be monkeys hanging from each other's tails or a long line of elephants or race cars. Anything that allows you to be a little bit amused and creative, just play with it. Because sometimes if we're holding on to really serious energy in our space, it's hard to move, it's hard to get energy moving. We're using something that's working with our playfulness. Helps to create that grounding that our body so desperately needs. Make sure you attach it really nice and tightly to your first chakra, to your root chakra. And connect it well into the very center of the earth. Notice how you start to connect with the earth, with nature, with all the vibrations there. And at the same time, you may notice how much safety it creates for your body and your nervous system to have a way to be connected to the earth. As we're part of the earth, that's as much as our spirit is part of the universe. And in order to function properly, we must take care of both. Otherwise, it creates a whole host of issues. So just notice that and enjoy that connection. You can connect also to your higher self, to the universe, to your knowingness. And as you're doing that, you may become aware of today's topic. And today's topic is all about space. Having space for yourself, creating the space for yourself that you need in order to function. Where do you run into issues when you are supposed to take up space and you struggle with that? So all the things around your very own space. So just take a few nice deep breaths to settle your body and your spirit into that topic for today. And just start to notice where, how big is your space? Where are you in relation to everybody else? Maybe things come up right away that say it's not okay for you to take up that much space. Like, who do you think you are? You can have this amount of space for yourself and that's it. And notice how your body may react to that. Maybe it's an immediate, dang, this is hit the nail on the spot. Maybe you notice that you have a whole lot of space for yourself in some areas and no space whatsoever in other areas. You may notice that there is a lot of stuff attached to it, namely feeling responsible. That you can only take up space once you've taken care of all the other people in your life and their space. Maybe there's a feeling of shame if you feel you need to have some space, if you want to have some space. Maybe it's not even okay to want some space for yourself. So just notice what comes up in that. And just allow it to be there. You don't have to do anything about it. You don't have to make and go away or come further forward. Just recognizing alone the existence of it. Maybe there's fear around it if you're taking up space. Taking up space. What would happen? Maybe fear of judgment that other people would judge you for wanting to have space, more space, less space. You may at the same time notice you have a intense feeling of happiness and joy if you were able to create space for yourself. We're not only here to look at the things that are tough, we're also here to celebrate ourselves for the times and ways we've been able to create the space for ourselves. Notice the difference in vibration within your space if you're looking at energies around you. Using what is yours. And if you're not able to fully step into it. Notice where in your body you may notice your muscles getting tense. You feel like you're retreating. Maybe some memories come up. Some ideas that you have been caught on what's okay. Maybe it's okay to be a little bit happy about that. About having your own space and creating and doing what you like to do and all that. And maybe there is an energy around it that says only so much. You can only do that for this much time or for this amount of space or any of that. So become aware of that where in your body this may sit. And then you can start to, if it feels right for you, you can start to ground it out. You can allow that energy in the different parts of your body that it relates to. You can just ground it out. It can be a color. It can be a feeling. It can be a tightness. It can be very subtle and hard to describe. But just allow it to leave your space. Sometimes if we don't feel like it's okay to have our own space, we allow other people to step in. We'll take their energy in because we feel like we need to fix someone else. We need to help them. We need to do something about their physical health. We need to do something about how they're feeling, how they're doing. And what we're doing is we're letting it come into our energetic system and try to make it better for them. If you notice any other people in your space, they're hanging out and you're having a party or a tense meeting of sorts. Just allow yourself to be a little bit amused, just a little. There's this great meme out there that says, well, if you allow the voices of other people in your head, make sure you're either like what they say, if they don't really agree, or make sure you make them pay rent. Something along those lines. If you have a whole bunch of people hanging out in your head, in your mind, in your space, you either charge a permanent rent or you kindly ask them to leave. And you may notice as you do that, that your body starts to relax because we always can deal with our own energy. It becomes really difficult if we take in someone else's. So learning how to decipher what's yours and what is someone else's, you can gauge that by the way of being able to deal with it. So let everything go that holds you in a space of allowing other people to come in and have a say in how you're creating and how you're being connected to your higher self, to great spirit, to your own information, to how you do things. Find a light on all the feelings that come with it and make you ashamed if you are longing for that. It makes you afraid and just found it out. Notice how it changes when you do that. Notice how your space changes when you allow yourself to take up all of it and claiming it for yourself. Notice how much joy it may bring up. Sometimes when we do that and I create space for myself, I always have to think of this little two-year-old or three-year-old kid that would stomp their feet and say, find my space just for me. And recognizing that you may not be able to do that a hundred percent of your time. Notice that it may be in the beginning for a half hour a day. It may be 15 minutes, 5 minutes, even 30 seconds of recognizing for yourself where you're at and claiming it as your own, just for yourself. Just for yourself. And sitting in that vibration of who you are and what your purpose is in this lifetime. And notice how this relaxes your body. And if something comes up that triggers you when you do that, you can just come right back to grounding. Be gentle with yourself. It's a fine balance for us to know where things are getting too far and where things are still okay. And trust yourself in that. Because as you trust yourself and your intuition of where you're at and what you need will create more trust. We have not always been taught to trust ourselves. So you may start now. So go ahead and as we're slowly but surely coming to the end of today's meditation, come back to your breath. Ground out any last little bits and pieces that really want to go before we're starting to close down and preparing ourselves for this week. You can fill yourself up with your pure own essence. Connecting to your higher self and allowing your own energy to penetrate every single cell of your body. Acknowledging how brave and courageous you are when you're looking at all of these things. And what a magnificent being, human being, spirit in a body you are. Say hello to your heart. And allow your heart space to be in connection with who you are. You may settle into that and allow yourself to just be. Feel free to churn throughout this week in your quiet meditation space. Notice where things are tied in your body. Notice who you find in your space, what thoughts, emotions, feelings you find in your space. And with that being said, take a few more nice deep breaths coming back fully into your body, into present time. And when you're ready, just let go of everything that's holding you back. And when you're ready, you can open your eyes and come back out of meditation.
