What is up? What is up? What is up? How you doing? How's it going? What it do, baby? You know the sound. You know what that beat is, baby. You know that's the sound of the college football function. You know this voice by now. You know it must be Monday nights with cousin Mike. It's your boy. Ladies and gentlemen, we are less than seven days away. It is, of course, Monday, August the 21st. Of course, 2023. Like I said, we're less than a week away, ladies and gentlemen. We made it through the summer. You know, we made it through the dog days. We made it through all this tough time without football and, you know, with preseason and camps and all this stuff going on. I know it's even harder when it's so close, you know, just like Christmas time. You know, you don't think much about Christmas when it's, you know, June, July, August. You start thinking about Christmas when it's, you know, November, when it's Thanksgiving or, you know, Halloween. It starts creeping up on your mind. And the closer it gets, it seems like the longer it's taking. But we made it. We are, like I said, less than seven days. They believe it's five from week zero. College football starting up again. Got a doozy of an episode for you guys. You know, of course, we are going to do the crystal ball. We are going to talk about the Auburn Tigers, members of the SEC, definitely a team. I truly believe that can make some noise, not just this year, but in years, you know, coming. For the next, you know, however many years it takes for them to get back to that mountaintop and be, you know, an Auburn team that you kind of remember. You know, it's been over, you know, 13 years since this Auburn team's won a national championship. And being in the SEC and being in the same state as the Crimson Tide, you know, it's a go mentality. It's, you know, you can't only win six, seven, eight or nine games a year. You've got to contend for SEC majority. You've got to contend for SEC championships and contend for national championships. So we, of course, we are talking about the Auburn Tigers first. And then we're going back to the bracket. A little bittersweet. This is going to be the end of it. We're going to do the third place game. That one's going to pit the number 11 seed, the 2013 Florida State Seminoles, going up against the number five seed, the 2019 LSU Tigers. And then it is the creme de la creme. It's the battle for who is the greatest college football team of the last 30 years. Comes down to two teams. A couple of years apart, too, when you think about it. The 10 seed coming in, members of the Big Ten, the 1997 Michigan Wolverines standing over there in the blue corner. And in the red corner, it is the nine seed. It is the 2001 Miami Hurricanes. They're going to battle for the strap. They're going to battle for this belt to see who is the greatest college football team of the past 30 years. Can't wait to do it. And seeing that it's about to be football season, ladies and gentlemen, got a bonus episode coming for you on Friday, Thursday or Friday. I will record it that day. Mike will get it out probably Friday or Saturday. Not real sure when. But it's going to be my last, you know, real summer show. This is going to get you ready for the games coming on on Saturday. And I'm going to give you some Heisman predictions. I'm going to give you some dark horses. I'm going to give you some players you should keep your eye on, so on and so forth. Not just with Heisman, but with, you know, the draft process going to come on, you know, after the season comes on. It's going to be players that I would like you guys to watch. And when it comes down to draft process again at the end of the season when I start talking about all these positions by positions, players and players and so on and so forth, you'll remember those names because I told you to watch them. And then you can watch them during the games this coming up college football year so you can be the judge to see if this player is going to be a great player at the next level. So I can't wait to do that one. I already got it all done. Just going to record it a little bit later in the week. No news. Not that I have heard of. You know, like I said, it is just a little bit over 4, almost 5 o'clock where I am at right now. And I haven't heard any news. And like I said before, I don't think there's going to be any more news, especially coming up this close between college, you know, football starting and then here in a couple weeks with NFL starting. I don't think any more conference realignment is going to happen. But if anything changes from when, you know, I get done with this episode until Friday, I will be happily, happily break it down for you and let you know the good news or bad news, depending on who you root for and who you pull for and where you live. You know, a lot of that really matters with this college football landscape changing, ever changing, and eventually getting to probably two or three super conferences. And that's, you know, down the line. You know, we will cross that river when we get to it. So without further ado, let's talk about the Auburn Tigers. Members of the SEC, like I said, can they, you know, they share a state with their brother, the Crimson Tide. And it's one of the greatest college football rivalries, in my honest opinion, is Auburn and Alabama. You know, they do the Iron Bowl at the end of the year. And, you know, eight, seven or eight times out of the ten, these two teams, one of them has something going for them. And the other one would love to knock the other one off their perch, especially if they're undefeated, you know, a top five ranking, so on and so forth. They would just love to upset the other and just ruin their year, them being rivals and all for the Iron Bowl. But Auburn, they started playing football in 1892. They are located in Auburn, Alabama. They play their football at Jordan-Hare Stadium. They hold 87,451 fans. Big-ass stadium, huge, huge, almost 90,000. It's a rockin' arena, really pretty stadium as well. They currently own 785 total wins, and they've won 16 conference titles, eight of them coming in their current conference, the SEC. They've won two national titles in 1957, and then back in 2010 with Gus Malzahn and Cam Newton. They've had three Heisman winners as well, Pat Sullivan in 1971, Bo Jackson, probably the most famous Auburn Tiger of all time. I know Cam Newton's probably up there, you know, Charles Barkley. But when I think of Auburn, I think of Bo. Bo knows Heisman, Bo knows baseball, so Bo Jackson won it in 1985. And then their last one, of course, with Cam Newton in 2010, their national title-winning year. Going into his first year, Hugh Freeze. If you know that name, you definitely know your college football. He was at Ole Miss from 2012 to 2016. A couple of things happened. Don't really want to get into it. I don't like getting into, you know, legal problems or anything bad that happened to him because, hell, I don't even know. But he was at the University of Liberty. You know, when he left a big-time, you know, program that is the Ole Miss Running Rebels, you know, you kind of get demoted. You go to a lesser program if they even give you a shot. But the University of Liberty, the Flames, I do believe who they are, they picked him up in 2019, and he just left there in 2022. And he made that Liberty Flames team into a pretty good little school. I mean, they were winning some games. They were upsetting some big boys. And Hugh Freeze is getting his second chance at getting back in the big boys, you know, big boy leagues, going back to the SEC and coaching these Auburn Tigers. So he has no wins. Going into the first year, big fan, big fan of Hugh Freeze. I do believe he's going to turn things around at Auburn. And he did with his recruiting class last year. It was a top-25 nationally ranked recruiting class. And he's getting the players in, and it's getting these players to buy into his system. And it's getting, you know, Auburn back on the map. You know, they have kind of not been relevant for a while. Hate to say it, but, you know, the sun shines on a dog's ass every once in a while. And bad teams, you know, sleeping giants, they will be awoken at one point in time. And I do see the Auburn Tigers doing it, not just this year, but in years forward. Now, let's get into the scheduling part. Let's predict their schedule. And as you know, I keep track of every win and loss of every single team I have done. So I have done the Georgia Bulldogs, the LSU Tigers, and, of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide. And these Auburn Tigers lost to every single one of those teams. They're the cream of the SEC crop. I probably, listening back to some of my episodes, I don't think Alabama's going to go undefeated this year. A lot of problems they've kind of had. I wouldn't say problems, but uncertainty. With Alabama, there's never really uncertainty. You know they have really good recruiting classes. And usually they always have a quarterback that is some sort of established at Alabama. So breaking in a new quarterback isn't always a good thing. But having nothing but five stars around you, you know, on your offensive line, your running backs and your, you know, your wideouts out there, tight ends, so on and so forth. Alabama's going to be good. I just don't know if they're going to be 12-0 good. I probably should have thought more about that one. But like I said, we're talking about Auburn. We're not talking about, you know, the big brothers. We're talking about Auburn. Let's get to their schedule. The best they can do is 9-3. So let's see how many wins they are going to get. Week one, September 2nd is their first game. They welcome in UMass, you know, Massachusetts. I do believe that's the Minutemen. Not real sure. Definitely a town trodden team. Definitely been one of the worst teams in college football for ten years, maybe even longer. I mean, I do believe there's been years that Massachusetts doesn't even win a game. But that's an easy win for Auburn to open up their season. Week two, September 9th, they take a road trip. They got to go out west. They're going to go play the Cal Bears. You know, like I have been saying before in all these past episodes, Pac-12 is crumbling. Cal is still waiting. This is a season for the Cal Bears, the Stanford Cardinal, you know, Oregon State and Washington State to have a really good year and strengthen your resume. Let's open some eyes from some of these other conferences and go, you know what? I like that coach. I like, you know, what they're doing down there. Let's try to get them to come to our conference. But it doesn't happen for the Cal Bears. And week two, September 9th, they lose to these Auburn Tigers. Week three, September 16th, they welcome in Samford. Not sure who that is. Samford is probably some FCS school, like I said before in all these other episodes. Auburn is opening up their pocketbooks, giving these guys some money to come to Jordan here and get their butt kicked. Auburn wins handily, easily week three. Week four, September 23rd, conference season starts, and it starts with a doozy. They're playing the Texas A&M Aggies in Aggie Field down there in Aggieland. And this A&M team is a sleeping giant as well. I do believe they had a bad, bad year last year. After having, you know, one of the best recruiting classes, I think it was 2021, number one overall, and then Texas A&M did not do anything with that recruiting class and then had a bad 2022. So I hope, I've never will root for an Aggie, never ever. So I'm rooting for the Auburn Tigers. I do believe, let's hope Auburn goes down to A&M and beats the Aggies September 23rd. Week five, September 30th, they welcome in Georgia. I've already done Georgia. So this is a loss for the Auburn Tigers. Week six, October 7th is their bye. Could be a blessing in disguise, you know, losing to Georgia, probably a top five ranked Georgia. And it's going to be in Auburn's house, you know, in Jordan hair. So I'm going to give them a shot. I mean, I think they could make it close, but I do believe Georgia is just a little bit better strength wise, you know, player wise, coaching wise. So they're going to get the upper hand. But October 7th is their bye, so it gives them a chance to lick their wounds, recoup, you know, kind of get their legs underneath them again, get ready for the next week. Week seven, October 14th, they take a trip to Death Valley, though, to play the LSU Bayou Bengals. And, of course, they get a loss right there. Week eight, October 21st, they welcome in Ole Miss, the running Rebels, a team that's definitely been decent for a little while. Lane Kiffin's a pretty good head coach. But Auburn is going to get that win right there against Ole Miss October 21st. Week nine, October 28th, they welcome in Mississippi State, the Bulldogs, definitely a team that has the most question marks in all of the SEC this year. Don't know what they're going to do. You know, they've had to get a new coach, you know, RIP Mike Leach. And those were all his players, so not real sure what they are going to do. But I don't think they can hang with the likes of Auburn, so Auburn wins that game right there. Week 10, November 4th, they take a trip to Vanderbilt to play the Woeful Commodores. That's easy. Don't even need to talk about Vanderbilt. This is not baseball. Auburn goes to Vanderbilt and wins November 14th. Oh, it's November 4th. I'm sorry. Week 11, November 11th, take a road trip to Arkansas to play the Razorbacks. This is another team they just kind of creep by every once in a while, year after year. They'll win six, seven games, go to their bowl game. But every once in a while, Arkansas will do something that they don't usually do, and this is where it's going to happen. They beat the Auburn Tigers at their house, and this happens. I love seeing a good upset, and I do believe this Auburn Tigers team is going to go down to Arkansas to Fayetteville and lose to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Week 12, November 18th, they welcome in New Mexico State, the Aggies. It's an SEC thing. I know I have done the SEC, a lot of SEC schools. That second-to-last week of the season when it should be conference time, they're playing non-conference games. And, of course, that is an easy win to get them pumped up for the Iron Bowl. Week 13, November 25th, of course, is the Iron Bowl against Big Bad Alabama. Predicted Bama already, and, of course, I had them going undefeated. So, of course, these Auburn Tigers get that L on the last week of the season right after Thanksgiving. So it looks like we have 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 8-4, I mean, not a bad year. Not a bad year for a first-year head coach. Could it be 9-3? Absolutely. Will they knock off Georgia at home? That would be a great win. Could they beat Bama at home at the end of the year? Absolutely. I think they're sealing, though. Going to LSU, I think that's a guaranteed loss. So I think the best that they can do would be 11-1. Don't see them going undefeated. There's just no way. Got Georgia, LSU, and Bama all on the same schedule. You're not beating all three of those. Sorry, Auburn, especially not your first year. But 8-4 for a first-year head coach. Coming back to the SEC is a really good thing, for sure. All right. Let's put that away. Let's put away the crystal ball. Let's get back into the bracket. Like I said before, it is very, very bittersweet. Coming to an end, I have been doing this for so long, it feels like I have been talking about the last 30 national championships since, like, February. I mean, it could have been maybe even March. I can't even remember. But it's been a long road. I hope you enjoyed it because it took so much. It takes a lot of homework. It takes a lot of stuff to go back in time. And, you know, remember all these things. Remember their games. Remember their players. Remember some of the greatest things that happened with all these 30 teams from the past 30 years. So I hope you appreciate it because at the end of the episode today, it is all over. But it's bittersweet. Like I said, it's a good thing that it's over. Sucks that all that hard work is done. But that means college football is right about to start. And, of course, like I said at the start of the show, we are less than a week away, five days exactly. And I got a bonus episode coming for you later in the week. So let's talk about it. Let's get it over with, shall we? We are doing the third place game first. Wanted to do it just because these two teams are just so mirror images of each other. I was predicting, I really predicted, or I wouldn't say really predicted, but wanted the 2019 LSU Tigers to make it to at least the Final Four. And they did. They just ran into a better team. And it is what it is. And then the 2013 Florida State Seminoles, there's always one team. If you are a fan of college basketball, you know there is always a Cinderella. There is always a team that makes it to the Elite Eight for the first time ever, Final Four, so on and so forth. And that, for this tournament, was this Florida State Seminoles team, a team that was really slept on, had a better offense than the 2005 Texas Longhorns, actually had a better defense than that Texas Longhorns team. They had a Heisman winner on their team that year. It was very slept on, but I am glad to do this matchup. The third place one, let's get into it, first things first. We got to start off with coaching. This was pretty tight, too. You know, you got head coach Jimbo Fisher for Florida State coming in with his fourth year. He was also the OC as well. Defense coordinator Jeremy Pruitt with his first. And then 2019 LSU, of course, coached by Ed Odron in his third year. Offensive coordinator Steve Insminger, his first. And then defensive coordinator Dave Aranda. Both these teams, both these coaches, I should say, have only won one national championship. So, I guess we can kind of throw those out the window. And it's got to come down to the other coordinators. You know, Florida State, Jimbo Fisher was their OC. And LSU had Dave Aranda as their defensive coordinator. So, I got to give the coaching battle just a little bit to 2019 LSU. Dave Aranda is a really good defensive coordinator, and he is a hell of a head coach. You should know because he is down there in Alabama. Alabama, I'm sorry. Baylor, he's down in Waco coaching the Baylor Bears. He's a really good coach. All right, offense. This one's going to be fun. I mean, this is a push. No, actually, you know what? It can't really be a push because LSU scored three more points than this Florida State Seminoles team did that year. You know, Florida State scored 723 total points that year. And then LSU scores 726. You know, one little field goal, you know, changed the outcome of a whole season. You know, it really does. Every point matters. I know it's one of those things coaches preach to you all the time. But at the same time, it really does. So, the best offense goes to the LSU Tigers of 2019. Defense, 2013 Florida State only allowed 12 defensive points per game while the 2019 LSU Tigers gave up 23. So, it looks like Florida State gets their first point with the better defense. Scoring margin, 51-12 for the Florida State Seminoles of 2013. Averages out to 39 points per win. While the 2019 LSU Tigers, 51-23, their scoring margin was only 28. So, it looks like the Florida State Seminoles were winning and winning by more, you know, bigger blowouts and were beating good teams and just beating the breaks off of them. So, they get a point for the better scoring margin. Wow, special factor. I know I've done these two teams and it's always been both of them is their offense. You know, two of the greatest offenses of all time. So, I had to dig a little bit deeper. I had to pull out these papers and really just start looking for something else that stood off on the page. And the 2013 Florida State Seminoles, they had seven games that their defense held their opposition to seven points or less. I'm sorry, let me repeat that. Seven games, their defense held the opposition to seven points or less. That is a very, very good defense. So, I dug in a little bit on the 2019 LSU Tigers. They had seven games that 100,000 or more fans were there, either at their home or they were on the road. They played 14 games. Imagine that. You played 14 games and 50% of those you played in front of 100,000 fans. That's impressive, right? I mean, like I said, I dug a little bit deeper. You have to, you know, sometimes you just got to get that dirt under your fingernails and dig just a little bit deeper. Which one's more special? You know, the Florida State defense or playing in front of 100,000, more than 100,000 fans for seven times. I mean, that's pretty, golly, this one's hard. Of course, like I said before in last week's show, it was the Final Four. It's the four best teams. It should not be easy. Let's go with Florida State. I think seven games that their defense held their opposition to seven points or less. That's pretty impressive. You know, do I think they would have done it to this 2019 LSU Tigers team? Absolutely not. But, you know, playing in front of 100,000 fans seven times, that's pretty cool too. Pretty cool wow factor. Okay, strength of schedule, strength of record. How hard was their schedule? Did they play ranked teams? Did they go on the road and beat some really good teams? 2013 Florida State went 5-0 on their ranked-on-ranked matchups. While the 2019 LSU Tigers went 7-0 for their ranked-on-ranked matchups. So it looks like we have another predicament, just like last week. It's a tie. We don't need the undefeated. It is not needed. It's coming down to players. Who had some of the greatest players on their team, not just at that school, but all time on college? And are they doing it in the second level? That's definitely a bonus for sure. And when it comes down to that criteria, there's only one team that really screams, hey, I had the better players. And, of course, it is the 2019 LSU Tigers for the win. I mean, come on. Joey B, largest margin of victory ever with that Heisman. Clyde Edwards, a layer. Jamara Chase, Justin Jefferson. I mean, Grant Elpit. Derek Stangley. Great, great team. Not to sleep on, 2013 Florida State. Trey Jackson, wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin. Devonta Freeman, running back. Jameis Winston, of course, had a great year. Defense, a Marcus Joyner cornerback, Ronald Darby. Defensive back, Jalen Ramsey. Defensive end, Christian Jones. Defensive end, Mario Edwards, Jr. But I just got to give it to LSU. They just had bigger stars. That's just what it's going to come down to. Maybe not the greatest players, but the biggest stars. And big stars shine brighter. So I do believe that 2019 LSU team would just do just enough to beat that 2013 Florida State so they get that bronze trophy. Now, it's the main event. We are here. It is finally time to crown the greatest college football team of the last 30 years. I know one of them was going to be here. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of people out there that kind of forecasted that the 2001 Miami Hurricanes were for sure going to make the Final Four, maybe going to win it all. But we got to do it my way. If it comes out the other way, I'm sorry. But let's just do it. This is just for fun, guys. If Michigan does pull this off, do you really think they're the greatest college football team in the past 30 years? Absolutely not. Were they one of the best? Absolutely. But like I said, this is for shits and giggles. I did this for content. I did this whole crazy thing, came up with it just the past 30 years, picking the best 16 out of it, making a tournament, make them fight each other and to see who's going to win. It was just for shits and giggles, guys. This was just for content. Take it with a grain of salt. Don't get booty hurt out there or think, you know, I don't know my shit because this was just fun. This was just something to get through the summer. You know, I needed content. You know, it's hard to do content for a podcast in the summer when there's no football. College football, there's not a whole lot that goes on, you know, in the spring and early in the summer. So I had to do something. I came up with this idea. It ended up being a, you know, a huge thing. It ended up being one episode a week, of course, letting you know the last 30 national championships the past 30 years. And then the whole bracket thing, like I said, not going to get into it. Hope you enjoyed it because I have enjoyed giving it to you. But the wait is over. Let's crown. Let's pull out that belt. Let's pull out the strap. Let's see who is the greatest college football team of the past 30 years. We have 97 Michigan, the 10 seed, going up against number nine seed, the 2001 Miami Hurricanes, the U. Head coaching battle. This one's a little easier for me. 97 Michigan, head coach by Lloyd Carr, his third year. Offense coordinator, Mike DeBoard, his first. Defensive coordinator, Jim Herman, his first as well. 2001 Miami, head coach by Larry Coker, his first year. Rod Chudzinski, his first year as well. And defensive coordinator, Randy Shannon. All but one has been there longer. And Lloyd Carr is just a little bit better than Larry Coker, been there a little bit longer. Got to give the edge head coaching wise to Lloyd Carr. Offense, 97 Michigan scored 26 points per game, while 2001 Miami scored 42. So it looks like they get the point for the better offense. Goes to 2001 Miami. Defense, of course, 97 Michigan only allowed 9.5 points per game. But the 2001 Miami Hurricanes only gave up 9.75. So that defense was almost as good as the Michigan defense. But got to give it to the Michigan Wolverines for having just this much of a better defense. So scoring margin, 26 to 9.5, averages out to 16.5 points per win for 97 Michigan. While the 2001 Miami Hurricanes, 42 to 9.75, averages out to 32 points per win. So they get the point for the bigger scoring margin. The wow special factor, of course, is the defense for 97 Michigan. And the 2001 Miami Hurricanes, wow special factor, of course, was their defense. Let me pull my paper out real quick. I felt like I've talked about these guys, and you should know them all by name by now. But let's do it anyway. Ken Dorsey, Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee, Andre Johnson, Titans Jeremy Schottke, Kellen Winslow, one of the best offensive tackles in college football history, period. Bryant McKinney, linebackers Jonathan Vilma, free safety Ed Reed, defensive tackle Vince Wilfort, and Sean Taylor and Antron Rolle, you know, playing the defensive backs and quarterbacks. So, I mean, everybody knows it's got to be 2001 Miami. Just one of the greatest teams of all time, hands down. So we're going to strength of schedule, strength of record, who had the tougher route, you know, who played the harder games. And it looks like the 97 Michigan went 7-0 for their ranked-on-ranked matchups, while Miami only went 5-0 during their run in 2001. So, here it is again. We got a tie. No need for the undefeated, because both of these teams were undefeated, and it looks like it comes down to players yet again. And I'm not going to sneeze on this 97 Michigan Wolverines. You had a great run. Getting the silver trophy, you know, the silver medal for being the second greatest college football team of the past 30 years. Let's talk about some of their players. Brian Greasy at quarterback, Jeremy Toobin at tight end, Anthony Thomas at running back, Steve Hutchison, one of the greatest guards of all time, not just college, but in NFL as well. Tom Brady sat on the bench playing ass back. Defense, of course, was the star-studded side of the ball for 97 Michigan. Cornerback, Andre Weathers. Linebacker, Sam Sward. Defensive end, Glenn Steele. Rob Rene's. Free safety, Marcus Ray. And, of course, the man amongst boys that year, Charles Woodson at cornerback. Won damn near every freaking award you could that year, including the Heisman. But like I said, I just talked about the Miami guys. I don't want to name them again. I'm going to run out of breath. So, 2001 Miami, congratulations. You are the greatest college football team of the past 30 years. Take a bow, you. Take a bow. And, again, here's a little clap for 97 Michigan. You had a hell of a run. Didn't think you were going to get that far, but you did. So let's write this down in my little paper as soon as I freaking find it. Ah, screw it. 2001 Miami, you're the greatest college football team of the past 30 years. Probably a lot of people saw this coming. Nice foreshadowing. And I hope you enjoyed it. Like I said, I really truly do hope you loved listening to that segment that just took months. You know, it took a whole lot of homework. It took a whole lot of shows to get to where we are now. So I hope you enjoyed yourself. Even if you didn't like it, if you're a fan of 2005 Texas Longhorns, at least I talked about you. You know, and I could have, you know, given you some bad, you know, talk. You know, I could have talked shit about you, but I didn't. You know, I am the host of the college football function. I want to be bipartisan. As much as I hate the Texas Longhorns and the, you know, Texas A&M Aggies and some of these other teams I can't stand or I hate, I still got to talk about them. And I did every team justice, regardless if I hate them or I loved them. But I hope you, like I said, I hope you enjoyed this little ride that we went on. We went back 30 years. My DeLorean was smoking sometimes from going so far back. Truly do. I really hope you liked that because that was fun. Like I said, it was something to do. It gave me content, something to talk about, and really educate some of you non-college football fans, you know. And now you know who won in 1993. It was the Alabama Crimson Tide. You know, who won in 2001. Now you know, of course, it was Miami. But I have a show. You can go back to March. I don't know. I think that's when I started this journey. And if you're a fan of that team, you can go back and listen to them. You can always go back and listen to, you know, 2013 Florida State Seminoles or the 94, 95 Nebraska Cornhuskers. Talked about all of them. So hope you enjoyed it. I'm rambling yet again. But like I said, I will be back. I'm coming back later this week because I got a bonus episode since the season is starting. I'm going to do one last crystal ball entrance. And it's got to be the Texas Tech Red Raiders, baby. It has to be. I got to talk about my team. You got to save the best for last, right? I'm kidding. But with all seriousness, though, I do believe my Texas Tech Red Raiders can have a really good year. And I felt that maybe if you're a fan of CM or if you hate CM, it gives you a team to root for or it gives you a team to root against. And either way, you put eyes on my Texas Tech Red Raiders, that would make me feel good. So I'm talking about my Texas Tech Red Raiders. And then the second portion of the show, I will be doing the Heisman Talks, players to look out for, some long shots. Maybe you're a gambling person and I say some of these names and they're going to be long shots. Hey, go to Vegas and put a little bit of money down on X, a guy that could possibly win the Heisman. He's got like one in 2,600. You can win some money. I don't think Caleb Grant or Caleb Grant, sorry. Sorry, KG. Caleb Williams is going to win back-to-back Heismans. I don't think that's ever going to be done again. So I got players for you, though. I'm going to give you a whole buttload. I got 34, 46. I'm going to give you 46 players to look out for. Some of them absolutely probably will not win the Heisman, but I got defensive guys. I've got some cornerbacks, some linebackers, wide receivers, of course, and then, you know, mostly quarterbacks, running backs, guys that absolutely could win the Heisman. So that being said, time to bow out. It's time for me to say goodbye, give the long kiss goodbye. But it's coming, baby. It's right around the corner. We're only a few sleeves away because, oh, I can't wait. This summer went by so fast, and it's bittersweet. You know, I did so much. This is actually episode number 70. I had a whole thing about episode 69 I was going to do my last episode, and I didn't even fucking do it. But, you know, it is what it is. So I hope you enjoyed it. Episode 70, coming back with 71 in a couple of days. Big shout-outs, of course, to the boys at the football function. Mr. Ritter, Mr. Minifield, big things are coming. Moved into their new studio. Just saw the picture earlier today on Facebook. So big shout-outs to those boys. I used to just be a listener. You know, I really did. And, of course, with Andy LaFawn being on the show, not real sure if he's coming back or if whatever, if he stepped out. We never really talk about that when we talk or when we hang out. But if he comes back, so be it. If not, it won't be sweat down anybody's back. We have players. Players. We've got people that are going to step up. And, you know, continue doing this thing as good as we can, you know, because we truly want to be the best football podcast out there. So big shout-outs to Andy LaFawn, man. There would be no CM if there was no Andy LaFawn. So big shout-outs to him, man. Appreciate you so much. I love you to death. Shonald, love you so much, buddy. Appreciate you so much. You always listen. You always text. Appreciate you so much. KG, Kevin Watson, Howard Poole, DJ fucking Kuzma, man, big shout-outs to you, buddy, for a great, great episode. I listened to it this morning. You did a great job. I do love Detroit Kyle. You did a great job as well. I can listen to you guys all day. Y'all did so good. Appreciate y'all coming on and getting with the boys. And hopefully one day I can get this, start getting guest hosts, anybody that would like to talk about some college football. I would love to do that. And I will find a way, just get a new app on this laptop or do whatever I need to do. I will figure it out. And I hope you are ready for college football. Shout-outs to Double J with the fantasy function. Of course, the regular boys with the NFL football function that is coming around the corner. We got every tier. We got everything you need. So please keep promoting us. You know, follow us at Football Function 2.0 on Instagram. John Carrasco, all the other guys around here. Man, KG, I already said you, man. You're going to be doing the flash drive. All you guys, everybody that's ever been a part of this show, whether you listen once, whether you listen every time, we love you to death. So big things are coming. So get on board. Get on this train or get the fuck out of the way because we is coming and we is hungry. So with that being said, Cousin Mike loves you. I will talk to you soon. God bless.
