The Late Fragments podcast is ending its current series but will return with more episodes later in the year. The host has learned that old age shouldn't stop one from achieving and that having energy and a passion for life can combat the effects of time. This episode was the last in the current series, but I'll be back later in the year to talk religion, sex, politics and money with six more remarkable octogenarians. What have I learnt from the conversations that I've had? I've learnt that old age needn't be a barrier to achievement, that energy and a burning passion for the life that you're living and the work that you're doing is your greatest ally against the march of time. I've learnt that growing older really is a state of mind and that the search for meaning doesn't ever, shouldn't ever stop and that a sense of humour always, and especially when you're standing toe to toe with your own mortality, is essential. So off I go to find more inspirational interviewees who've really lived and continue to really live their lives.
