The podcast hosts are discussing potential names for their podcast and the topics they want to cover, such as politics and current events. They mention that they get most of their news from independent sources on YouTube rather than mainstream media. They discuss Michelle Obama's potential presidential run and express their skepticism about her chances. They also talk about illegal immigration and the problems it causes, particularly in border states like Texas. They mention the efforts of Governor Abbott and the Texas National Guard to address the issue. They also criticize the federal government for interfering with state decisions on immigration. They discuss the violence and dangers associated with illegal immigration, including the involvement of cartels. They mention the importance of having a border wall to prevent illegal entry and the potential benefits it could bring. They briefly mention New York's response to receiving busloads of illegal immigrants and the different perspe So, welcome back, episode 2 of our podcast that we have not named yet, we have not fully decided on a name. Like we said last time, it might be like Let's Talk It Out, Keep Talking, we are not really sure. Or like Talk It Out, Talk It Out Podcast, or our favorites right now, Keep Talking Podcast. Which could change again, who knows. We thought sometimes, because Ronnie and I do discuss politics, or just current events in general, we also are very spiritual people, and so we'll talk about stuff like that, and thought that maybe this podcast we would talk about current events going on, and just kind of give our opinion, and I don't know, real life stuff. Just stuff that's going on in the world, but we also don't watch mainstream media, or mainstream news. I do listen to some Fox News stuff, some CNN stuff just because I like those stories, but without getting too conspiratorial, I don't. I don't trust either of them, to be honest with you. I get most of my news, I would say from YouTube, from independent sources, the Tim Pools of the world, the Jimmy Doors of the world, all of those people, which are both sides of the spectrum. But anyways, basically, I have my computer in front of me, and I was basically going to scroll through and ask Chelsea what she thought about stories that were coming up, and just play it by ear, and so, it's a smorgasbord of topics, like Sam the Cooking Guy is on here, and then it's Israel-Hamas War, so it's like, and the Dansky Swans on the off-season hitting streak. Hitting work. Don't know who that is. Anyways, he's the Cubs shortstop. Don't ask me about that. Don't ask, don't tell, like the military says, used to say. So yeah, I just was thinking if we started a little bit lighter, I mean, we could go pretty deep in this, but even if we start a little bit lighter, Michelle Obama says she's terrified of 24 election, indicating potential presidential run. I wonder why. Yeah. I wonder why. I feel like, probably, depending on who is elected, I feel like information could get out about certain people that they probably are a little scared about that, like there's a lot of unveiling going on, even as we speak, and you know, depending on who becomes the president, that could also add to that. Yep. Yep. I would agree, generally, with that. It's also hard to trust when things are unveiled, because it's like, who's behind it? False flags are being given to us. Who gave the information? And stuff. Yeah. And... Which is why we don't watch mainstream media and mainstream news, stuff like that. Do you think, do you think she will run for president? Michelle Obama? Uh-huh. I doubt it. Like, on the Democratic ticket. I doubt it. You don't think so? Mm-hmm. I don't know. I would be surprised. Sarah Palin tried that whole thing, and people didn't respond to it. I think her last name is going to make her actually try. And I think it's going to make her fail. I think both sides of the political parties were disappointed with that. With Obama's presidency? With Obama's presidency. I... The change didn't happen, bro. I would say that a lot of both sides of the party of normal Americans were disappointed with that. I would say the government and establishment is very happy with it. I would say the Department of Defense and all of the contractors who supply the Department of Defense are very happy with Obama's presidency. I'm sure. He dropped more drones than any president in a long time. And it's going to... I'm about to sneeze. Uh-oh. Oh, man. I'm going to pause this. We're okay. No? You're good? I'm okay. Okay. So... I'm okay. That happens a lot. He has like some sinus... Chronic sinus issues. He sneezes his brains out. Like a lot. Ten times in a row. A lot. Illegal immigration, making life uncomfortable for regular Americans. Yeah. Oh, don't even get me started on that. We're going to get you started. The... Like... I'm so proud of our state, first of all. I really am. Like the latest thing where Governor Abbott, you know, lit a fire and our Texas National Guard, they are on it. They are down there putting up... They're attempting to shut stuff down. They're attempting Eagle's Path. They're trying to... That is like... Among other places, but mainly that one for sure. That one's the one that they say is the most got away... They got away... People go through and that's where that happens. And so... They're down there... The crap got real. Yeah. They're putting up a wall... Like temporary walls, razor wire. They're trying to stop it. Like we're tired of it. Well, they've been doing that. And the federal government has been sending... People to take it down. ...stuff to undo the fire. Which is... You know... What's the point of having your own political leaders in each state to make decisions for the state if the government's just going to come down and shut it down? Sure. It's unacceptable. Especially when they're making a decision for the country, but it's directly affecting us border states. Like you guys have no idea. Like if you aren't a border state, you do not get it. For sure. Like it is a crisis right now. Like it's bad. It's a real problem. I've seen videos. Like it's... It's just... I can't even... Some of them I can't even watch them. Like it's so bad. Like the things that are happening to the women and children. The cartel is behind so many things. Like crazy stuff. The drugs. We could get dark. Oh, it's so bad. Like the... Have you seen how a lot of the quote-unquote smugglers or asylum seekers or whatever you want to call them come again? How they will post women's and little girls' panties on census? Yeah. Yeah, there's little kids' shoes and clothes spread out everywhere down there. Like a trophy. Like a trophy. Yeah. Because of the barbaric stuff they've done. Well, and the problem is that the cartel are trying to send them over to get them in. Quote-unquote get them in. But if they're not successful and they get sent back to Mexico, the cartel kills them. I've heard many stories of that. Where they're killing kids and women. Like because they aren't successfully getting into the United States. And that's where it's like, it's so sad. I get why people have a bleeding heart and they're like, oh, let the women and children in. What are they supposed to do? Like, I get that. But we have to protect our own children. And I understand that statement alone. I understand the bleeding heart. Unrealistic bleeding heart that people have for that, I would say. But I understand where that comes from. For us to, as people who were born in America, to say that. I understand why that's a, like we're sitting on a hill saying that to the immigrants trying to come in. I understand where that comes from. But it's also like, it's just like it's not their fault they were born in Mexico. It's not my fault I was born in America. I think my point of view on that is Donald Trump. Yes, I said it. Donald Trump was trying to build a wall. Because guess what? If that wall is in place, now we have fixed the problem of it's not wide open. And the cartel can't just send people over. And now if they're not getting sent over because there's a wall there. And they're not getting sent back, they're not getting murdered. That stops that issue. Yeah, or at least somewhat hinders it. It hinders it quite a bit. And I feel like, I mean I'm not down there and I'm not directly involved with all of that. You don't have to be because the actual director of the Border Patrol and stuff has testified before Congress and stuff and said that that's the best option to hinder this. Yeah. And stop inviting people obviously like certain members of our government are doing. Yeah, because I mean if the cartel, they'll have to find a different way. And now it's going to save lives because they can't just send whoever over. And then I just think it does solve a lot of issues. Yeah, it definitely helps that Florida sent troops also to Texas to help out. That's amazing. So they're attempting to. We need it. I guess curb some of the crap that's happening. Well and then that takes you to the whole New York thing. How? What do you mean? New York, they were like, they're just way up there. I'm going to get a lot of backlash for saying this. But they're mad because and they're suing Texas bus services for sending busloads of illegal immigrants up to New York. Well, honey, that's our everyday life. Yeah. It's here. When we were, we're sending people up because I think people in New York are like, what's the problem? We have plenty of room in America. Well, if we have so much room, why are you so upset? Why are you so upset that we're sending them up to you? For sure. And I, and you know, I try to be careful with that and not feel spiteful about it. And I think that that that word is my issue with it. Spiteful. Because we're not sending them to the states that have 70% of free land just open. We're not sending them to Montana's. We're not sending them to Iowa's. I think a little bit of it is a little bit spiteful. We're sending them to, which I understand. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not judging. Well, I'm judging a little bit because it's a little bit of two wrongs don't make a right. Yeah. But wouldn't you say that most of the immigrants that come through New York are legal immigrants because of the way they're coming in? In New York? Yeah. Like if they come into New York from out of the country? Yeah. Most of them are legal. Wouldn't you say? I don't know. I don't really have the stats on that. But off the top of my head, I would probably agree with that. Okay. Because, just because of geographically where it's at. I would think they have a somewhat skewed perception of immigration. Because most of the people coming in where they live are legal. Where we live, it's all illegal. There's nothing legal about it. Yeah. So we have a negative attitude. The problem is the majority of them coming, it's not even that they're from Mexico. No, it has nothing to do with that. It's Guatemala. It's everywhere. It's all over the place. It's not about where they come from or who they are. Yeah. Literally everywhere. It's about if you want to have the freedoms of this country that, you know, our granddads, great granddads, great, great, great, great granddads have fought for. Do it the right way. Have good intentions to uphold what's right for our country. The whole thing's about just getting more votes for... What if it goes back to politics? Certain parties. That's terrible. Like, James O'Keefe is already... Actual bus drivers are driving out, speeding away, trying to not let him catch up to them and stuff. James O'Keefe's already shown multiple tickets. People, non-English speaking immigrants are coming in. And they're being handed tickets saying, send me here. Blah, blah, blah. This is... Like, it's not saying vote this way, vote this way, but it's clearly a hidden message of, hey, this is who's helping you out. Blah, blah, blah. Like, it's a little... And like, we live up pretty, you know, obviously... Yeah, we don't really have this. We live in a part of Texas, and Texas is so huge that, like, the border is like 10 hours from here. I mean, I go all over the place cleaning and power washing and stuff, and I've seen mini-buses. Oh, I've seen mini-buses. Where they stop at gas stations, and you're like... I've seen one in post before. That one seems weird. Yeah, and you're like, oh, they've made it all the way up here, huh? Yeah. It's just... I say all the way up here. We've been, I mean, I won't lie... But they've sent them all the way to New York and stuff. The kids and I... I used to be way worse than I am now. About what? About going places with the kids by myself. Yeah. I'm still particular about what places I go to, but I will do it because I do carry now. And so I do feel more confident in that. But I think once you've been followed in a store before, and you've had to have somebody walk you to your car from the store, it definitely... We don't forget it. You don't forget it, and it changes your perspective. And then it makes you more interested in, hey, our border's wide open. And this just affected me today, so now it's personal. Yeah. Well, what do you think about the fact that Texas is busing them to other places? I think that it's a catch-22. Yeah. I think that I understand trying to spread some of this out, because we can't just take the brunt of it. But at the same time, I mean, it's like we're dropping a stray dog off in a field. It's the equivalent. It's what it feels like. It's inhumane. Yeah. It's what it feels like. Yeah. It is inhumane. But they're also trying to solve a problem that we didn't create. We're solving a problem that the government's just turning around and not doing anything. But I heard a good point about it the other day, and it's, I do fault our transporting as illegal immigrants a little bit, because that's the definition of human smuggling. Yeah. We're doing it too. I agree. And I'm not, I definitely, I don't have a solution to give as a point number two to that. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? I have, I only have the problem in my head. I don't have a solution to it. Yeah. But that can't be the answer either. Yeah. I mean... Just sending them other places? Like, because then... They should have a designated place for them. Well, they do. You know, Chicago is attempting, Chicago is trying to pass that they can build actual complexes for illegal immigrants. Well, get on it. Nah, it's been halted by the city council because the citizens freaked out. Honestly, what should happen is the wall should go up. That's how you solve the problem. That's how you solve the problem. At least, that's the best option to slow it down. 100%. I'm with you. So the average amount of benefits that illegal immigrants in Chicago are getting are $7,000 a month. Oh my goodness. That's the average of the benefits they're receiving. Do you know what the average income is in Chicago? Less than that. Less than that. $7,000 a month is $84,000 a year. Oh my goodness. That's the average amount of benefits that illegals, that the taxpayers, the actual legal taxpayers are forfeiting the bill to pay. They're helping pay for more benefits than they make. Holy cow. It's hard not to... If I lived in Chicago, I'd be freaking out. Well, I live in Texas and I'm freaking out. I know, but if our city council in Lubbock came and they were like, hey, we want to build four apartment complexes for illegal immigrants. Hey, man. Who's paying for that? Hey, we are. I know, exactly. Of course we are. But that's crazy to me. It's crazy to me. Like, it's just not... It's like... It doesn't make sense. There's no logic in it. It's just a band-aid. Somebody came up with it, quick fix. It's like they were like, oh, let's do this until we find a better solution and they just never went back to it. Because none of us are freaking out. We're just doing it. We're sheep. I think I would say this is going to sound like a derogatory comment. I would say the majority of America are just sheep. I agree. They don't pay attention to what's going on. They don't care. If you look at the percentages of voters who are actually voting, it's astounding. They're like, I don't understand how... And I'm also guilty of this. I did not vote. For like the first two elections I could vote in. Yeah. I'm also guilty of it. But now, as somebody who owns a business, has a family, has three kids, is invested kind of because we don't have a choice but to be. You're like, what's going on? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I guess as you get older and especially like owning your own business and the taxes we pay with that, owning your own home and the taxes you pay with that, you definitely are like, whoa, whoa, whoa, where's my money going? And then you research that. And I do think... Because when we file for taxes every year, you're like, whoa. Yeah. I'm sorry, where's this going? We don't get a tax return. We pay taxes, baby. I can't even remember the last time we got a tax return. Our years are spent trying to mitigate how much taxes we have to pay. Exactly. And I think, you know, because I do think that your circumstances impact your views in life. And I think... For sure. And that's for everybody. That's for everybody. And that's why we have the views we have because we do own our own business. We have owned our own home. You know, we know what it costs. And, you know, even to try to build a house, it's crazy right now. Like the cost of everything, it's just... And so when then you... People say, oh, let's just add this on to help illegal immigrants. You're like, no. Yeah. Like, what are we talking about? I don't mind helping... I don't mind helping immigrants. It's not that I... It's the illegal word in front of that. That's the word I... Yes. Yeah. America should be a country of immigrants. We all are. We're all from immigrants. But it's like... We all have come from... It's also like one of those things and you're like... It's like me having a cake and not being willing to share it. Yeah. You're like, we're built on being a country of immigrants. But it has to be done the right way. Because financially, physically, taking care of all of these people is just not possible. Yeah. It's just not possible. And it just gets you crazy. And problems are just being compounded and compounded and compounded. It's... Yeah, I like... Did you know the U.S. launched airstrikes in Yemen? It did. As if there's not enough problems? Yeah. Now we're bombing... I don't understand why we would even do that. Now we're bombing. Why would we participate in that? Because they were blocking a strait in whatever sea is over there. I'm not a geography major. They were blocking it as a protest to the Israel-Hamas war. Yeah, but you're going to bomb them? To Israel bombing them. So not only America. America and the English also did it. All the people who fund Yemen and the Houthi people is mainly Iran. Oh wow. So we're just... Stirring that pot. We're just... As if there's not enough pots on the stove. Yeah. We're stirring that pot also. That's what we're giving attention to. Trillions and trillions of dollars to Israel. To all of these wars all over the place. Not just Israel. I just mean like Ukraine, Israel, Saudi Arabia. Everywhere. All over the place. We're just sending money everywhere. And now we're like, hey, here's a good idea. Let's bomb some ships in Yemen. All I can think of is every time we do that and we're sending money places all I can think is, oh, our taxes are about to go up again. Because we're in debt again. 100% in debt again. More and more and more in debt. It's like 37 trillion now. We're up to like 37 trillion. On a lighter note... Somebody's going to call that in one day. On a lighter note, you did see Jelly Roll testify before Congress. Yes, that was amazing. Yeah, it was very powerful. Well, and like the courage for him to get up there. Well, he's so honest. Yeah. He just gets up there and he talks about he doesn't even have the right to vote anymore as being a felon. He doesn't even get to vote anymore. Yeah. But he personally knows how much of an issue the fentanyl coming in. Yeah, oh, it's bad. Like it's... And that's a whole other immigration issue. Yeah. Coming from cartels and everybody. Oh, they're finding... They want it here. They're busting and finding so many people like illegal immigrants carrying that stuff in. Like it's everywhere. Like... Like semi-trucks full. And it just doesn't seem like... I'm just not sure... I'm just not sure who cares in the government. Yeah. Like I'm not... They don't seem worried about it. Well, whenever the president's son is Hunter Biden, you know, it's hard. They're a little skewed on their view of drugs. Yeah. And I understand... Sorry, I made that crack. I understand it's an issue that he... I understand Hunter Biden is an issue. I don't understand how he's... Just getting away with everything. And there's so much bigger issues that we should be dealing with. Yeah. Like there was an entire meeting in the Senate about how he ignored a Senate subpoena or something along those lines, what it's called. And you're like, hey man, can we fix... Can we stop bombing Yemen? The ships around Yemen first? Yeah. And then let's deal with Hunter Biden? Like, you know what I mean? Yeah. I just don't get it. I just don't get how this is an issue. I mean, I get that it is an issue, but Mexico has demanded that Joe Biden grant amnesty to 10 million immigrants. Mexico demands that. That's such a funny headline, that they're demanding anything. For anybody to demand anything from another country. Yeah, especially America, who's basically funding all of these places. We're already funding this. You don't get to demand anything. Like, is it a threat? Was there a threat with it? Like, oh, do this or... No, that would never... They would never... That's craziness. Mexico's not going to... The cartel has more firepower than the Mexican government. There's already been news reports of that. Yeah. Like, America couldn't be less worried about the Mexican government doing anything. Yeah. Couldn't be less worried. Be more worried about the cartel trying to start a war than the Mexican government. Like, that makes no sense. And it's just... Like, I don't understand. I don't get it at all. Me either. There's just a lot... There's a lot going on, and I can see where, like, people would feel overwhelmed and not want to stay informed. I'm overwhelmed most days. Yeah. I have to... Like, I have so many podcasts that I subscribe to and stuff like that on both sides of the aisle just so that I can make sure I'm informed because I don't want to... I don't want to have the Fox News effect either. Yeah. I don't want to have the CNN effect. I don't want to have all of that. So I've... I listen to podcasts from all sorts of the aisle. All sides of the aisle. That was bad grammar. That didn't really make sense. All sorts of the aisle. Well, and it's hard... It's easy to be like, well, I don't want to... You know, like, everything's so depressing. I don't want to keep up with it. I don't want to read about it. Blah, blah, blah. And I get that 100%. I'm... I definitely don't look into things and I don't know things that I probably should know. But I do try to stay somewhat informed without going down a rabbit hole because, especially, it's an election year and I do think that to be a responsible, you know, voter and whatever, you need to know what's going on with some of these current events and... 100%. And be informed in who's running. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Especially locally. Especially statewide. Especially living in Texas. Yeah. That the statewide matters more than in other states because we have the option. I say option. We have at least the... somewhat option. There's hair everywhere. Like, there's always rumblings about seceding. There's always rumblings about all of that. Well, and I do think that it is good to stay informed locally and in your state because there are moments like whenever the government doesn't seem to have your back. For instance, the border thing. For instance, never. But... Uh-huh. But that's my example is the border because then now we do have a official, you know, Governor Abbott. I'm not always agreed with everything he's done. For sure. But because we have him... I do agree on this one. We do have him in place. Yeah. He's taking a stand. Or at least attempting to. Yeah. He's trying to take a stand for... Which I appreciate. You know, taking the border back. Yeah. Because our government's not. Yeah. Yeah. Because I do go work by the border sometimes. Yeah, I know you do. Yeah. It freaks me out. The Ohio House of Representatives overrided the governor's veto. The state will ban gender-affirming care. So the reason this story is interesting is because Ohio made abortion completely. They basically codified abortion. Which allows... They basically made it legal. There's no way for them to get rid of that. They basically put that into law. To where in Ohio, this is gonna speak out of turn a little bit, but I'm pretty sure up until nine months at birth. If it's not nine months, it's a long time. Up until birth. Wow. And the reason this is a... Conundrum of a story is because the Ohio House of Reps overrided the governor's veto and they are banning gender-affirming care, which is... I would say counterproductive to the stuff that... To the other stuff they were doing. You know what I mean? It doesn't... Yeah. There's a legal on request upon the point of fetal viability. So... What is that? Thirty... I'm sure it goes a little bit case by case, but I would say... I think it's like... I know, but if the baby's perfectly healthy... Thirty to 32 or something like that. I think it's 32 to 34. It's when it can be viable outside of the womb. Yeah. Right? I think so. It's either 32 or 34. I can't remember. Which is a long time. Oh. Oh, yeah. That's a... That's a touchy subject. That's a touchy subject. That's hard to... My gosh. I don't even know where to... I don't even know where to go from there. I don't know. It's interesting that they have such a lenient law on abortion, but they're... So you're saying they're banning... Gender affirming care. Gender affirming care. It's just an interesting combo. They seem counterproductive. Yeah. Or not counterproductive. They seem counterintuitive to each other. Mm-hmm. You know what I mean? It's like one half of them made this into a law and the other one is trying to make this half into a law. It's like, what's going on right now? I don't understand. Like, who's in charge of Ohio? What's going on? Like... Which I'm okay with. I'm okay with states being in charge of states. Yeah. That's how I think they are. They don't seem consistent. Why? I feel like one may be a little more important than... Not that they are important than the other, but... Yeah. They're both pretty big problems, but it's like it's... One is a person knowingly doing something to themselves versus a person doing something to another. I don't know. Yeah. It's just an interesting It is. Like, the whole thing is interesting. Yeah. Where you just... I just don't... It's hard to know what to think about it. I do not understand. I don't either. I don't either. I like to think I do, and then I read further into it, and I'm like, I'm so confused. Yeah. I'm so confused. Yeah. Did you hear the conspiracy that people think Jeffrey Epstein's alive? No. No? You didn't hear that one? No. I knew you'd laugh at that one. I don't... I'm not laughing as in I don't believe it. I don't... I mean, the world we live in, I don't know what to believe anymore, but... AI is everywhere. Who knows? Because all the cameras and everything else, there's... I don't want to say there's evidence. I would say there's a lot of people who are saying that he's most... that he is alive. I would say most likely. Like alive where? I don't have any evidence for that. Alive where in what? Clearly not in America. He's clearly not here, but they're saying he's... Was there sightings? No. They're saying that based on a lot of stuff not being released and stuff like that and there's no actual video of the quote unquote suicide. Was there a funeral? I don't know. I don't know about that. Hmm. I don't have an idea. Did they kill him? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
