Episode 12-The Bucket Lists

We want to apologize for skipping a week. We had, like, talked about, okay, when can we record? And then the days passed, and we were like, oh, it's Monday night, and there's not enough time. Yeah. So busy week. Busy week. But it's all right. Life happens. Life happens. But we're back. Doing better, like we promised. We're going to talk about our bucket list. But before we start, let's talk about, I guess, kind of the last couple weeks, since we didn't record for the last one. Yeah. Yeah. What's been going on? A lot has happened, I feel like. I'm not done with school yet. Monday's my last day. Yesterday, which was Friday, we had field day, which I thought I was going to have a nice, easy day, no classes, just jumping from one class to the other. Well, they needed a sub in fifth grade. And so I was with the fifth graders all day long, and it was not fun. No. Yeah. I feel for you. Yeah. But what else happened? A lot has happened. I took my dress in to get altered. That was an interesting experience. The lady, turns out she's from South Africa, I think. Oh. And she was very opinionated, and when I put the dress on, she was like, this dress does not fit your body. Why did you get it? I was like, I don't know. I don't know. I liked it. Sorry. Yeah. But then it was fine. It was fine. She was funny. I knew it was going to be interesting because the girl in front of me, her name is Elsa, the lady that does alterations, and Elsa came out and was like, who's next? And the girl that was in front of me was like, I'm next. And Elsa was like, okay. She could tell that she was here for her second alteration. She's like, where's your dress? And she said, it's in the fat section. I was like, oh. I was like, oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. This is cutthroat in here. Gee. But yeah, it's fine. I'm going to be going next, no, this week, this coming week. Oh, okay. I'm going back to get my second alteration. So hopefully that goes well. Yes. What else? Oh, there's been two, two good things that I've seen this week. I even wrote them down. Oh, okay. So, so, you know, the gym I work at, I don't know, I'm pretty nervous, but there's a lot of Muslims that are going there. Yes. Well, this guy came in and I was overhearing him. He was talking to this kid and he was telling them about Jesus to these Muslims. Wow. Yeah. Because the guy, you could tell he was Somalian too, but like, obviously he converted. To be a Christian. And he was telling them, I was like, wow, like that's scary for them because like, if they are not Muslim, they are shunned from the family. Like that is big. And I was just like, dang, dang, that's awesome. And then another one was I was at, I was at the gas station and I saw a homeless guy and I was just eating my sandwich in my car and this guy went over there, gave him money and prayed for him. And I'm like, wow. Oh, that's cool. People are just showing Jesus left and right this past week. So that's been great. That's cool. How often are you a week preach? Last, let's see, two weeks. Well, last week was my last week of school and we finished on Thursday and then I had an in-service on Friday and that wasn't bad. That was pretty good. Nice. And I'm sad to see my kids go, but it's okay. I'll see. You'll see them next year. Well, I'll see some of them at summer school too because summer school starts on Tuesday. So, and I have some of like my kids and then some of the other second grade teachers' kids because I got the class that's going into third grade, so I'll still see some of them. This was supposed to be my week off in between like actual school and summer school to rest. And I did not get to rest because I had to turn in. I had to redo my PTAT. Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. I had to redo all three of them. So Monday morning, I went to the school and sat with my school's like curriculum director and she's like helps with my certification and stuff. And we sat there from 9 a.m. until like 2.30, like just trying to get them all done. I only got most of task four done and I still had to do task two and three. So I had to do those at home on my own, but that it literally took up my whole week. I've done nothing else. I finished it. I finished and turned them all in yesterday because they were due like 10 a.m. this morning or not this morning. Nice. Yesterday. I'm done. I finished them all Thursday because yesterday was Friday. They were due Friday morning. But yeah, and then I'm watching my siblings for my parents so they could go have a little vacation. Nice. Yeah. So I've been busy on my week off. Yeah. Sounds like it. But it's okay. Yeah. Yeah. It's fine. I'm a little tired though. Let me crawl into bed. I can't sleep in my bed. I was like bull, whatever, lay down. And then she does not know a personal space and so I was on the edge of the bed and her knee was in my back and her arms were on my face and I didn't sleep. Oh my gosh. So I told her, I told her this morning, I was like, if you stay in your room, I'll give you $5. $5? We'll see if that works because I said that and she goes, I already have $5. I was like, you don't want $5 more? No, I already have $5. Oh my gosh. You can have $5 more. Goodness. We'll see what happens. Anyway. Not bad. Not bad. All right. You want to talk about our bucket list? Yeah. Just to have that normally, we like tell each other a couple of things that are on our list. We've not done that this time. So this will be brand new information for the both of us. Yeah. We haven't. Oh, cool. All right. Do you want to go first? Uh-huh. Yeah. Yes. Sure. So my, my first one is I have, I want to go to Australia and which is doable, can go to Australia. I want to go surfing in Australia. Okay. I don't want to go to Australia. You don't want to go to Australia? Have you seen how ginormous like spiders and stuff and, oh, they have so many scary things. Yeah. Well, people live there though. And so I feel like I could survive too. I feel like the Lord will protect me. So that's my first one. What's yours? Uh, stay in an area of sunshine, like an actual, you know, where like there's so many holes in the clouds that you can just see all these different rays. I want to stand in one of them. Oh, I didn't know you could do that. And just like see all the other rays. I don't know if you can. I just, I've seen, you know, like pictures or I've seen just, you know, driving and stuff when there's, there's clouds. Yeah. I've seen those. And you can see the rays. Yeah. I just want to stand in a ray. Yeah. That'd be sick. Yeah. Yeah. We'll see if that ever happens. Yeah. Can you stand in a rainbow? I don't know if you can stand in a rainbow. That's a good question. I mean, if you found the end of it, found the pot of gold. That's my bucket list. Okay. My next one is to be in the Iditarod. That's my dream. Be in the Iditarod. What's that? The dog sledding race in Alaska. Oh my gosh. I should have known that. I taught that to my kids literally this year. Yeah. You taught them? I did. Yeah. We did a, we did a unit on it. I love that. We watched Balto at the end of the week too. They got to watch Balto. Should have did snow dogs. Yeah. Well, I wasn't, I don't think that one's appropriate. I think there's like a cuss word in there.
