The Alberta government will invest $1 billion over three years to improve continuing care in the province. This includes providing more care in the community, enhancing the workforce, increasing choice and innovation, and improving the quality of care. The government has also signed a funding agreement with the federal government to support home care and continuing care home initiatives. The Alberta government has committed $1 billion over three years to transform continuing care in Alberta to ensure the future of the province's continuing care system. The work includes supporting initiatives that will shift to deliver more care in the community, enhance workforce capacity, increase choice and innovation, as well as improving quality of care within the continuing care sector. Alberta's government has signed a five-year, $627 million bilateral funding agreement with the federal government to support home care and continuing care home initiatives.
