The main ideas from this information are: - Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River. - The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all identified individually on this occasion, confirming that all three are persons of the Godhead. - Jesus is part of the Godhead and is equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit. - Believers are called to be unified as the Father and Son are unified. - Baptism is to be done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, indicating their equal authority. read LaTorre and I want somebody else to read it. Okay he's not answering so let's get uh Isaac how about read number 248 for LaTorre? Or you got your book? Yeah I'm not at the house to have the book. Okay who's got a book that you can read 248? None I read. Okay who else is ahead? 248. Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior. Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord. Up from the grave he arose, he arose. With the mighty trunk over his foes, he arose. He arose a victim from the dark domain, and he lives forever with his saints to reign. He arose, he arose, he arose, he arose. Hallelujah, Christ arose. Finally they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior. Finally they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord. Up from the grave he arose, he arose. With the mighty trunk over his foes, he arose. He arose a victim from the dark domain, and he lives forever with his saints to reign. He arose, he arose, he arose, he arose. Hallelujah, Christ arose. Death cannot keep his prey, Jesus my Savior. He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord. Up from the grave he arose, he arose. With the mighty trunk over his foes, he arose. He arose a victim from the dark domain, and he lives forever with his saints to reign. He arose, he arose, he arose, he arose. Hallelujah, Christ arose. Amen. Amen. So that's a good reminder of what we're all about. Paul said if Christ hasn't risen, then we're practicing in vain. So David Lord Jr. is on now in Trinica. So anybody else have a song? No other songs? Okay. How about a proverb? Anybody got a proverb? Let's see. LaTorre, do you have a proverb? Okay. Proverbs 10, 6 through 9. Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. A memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot. The wise in heart will receive commands, but a prattling fool will fall. He who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverses ways will be known, become known. Okay, thank you. Anybody else? Isaac, how about reason? LaTorre had Proverbs 11, 14. Okay. It says, where there is no counsel, the people fall. But in the multitude of counsel, there is safety. So seek out advice and good advice from people that you know to be wise. Anybody else got a proverb? Hey, Michael, I was going to read verse 19. It says that righteousness leads to life, so he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death. Okay. It's a good warning. Anybody else? I'll take somebody else start again. I did. Proverbs 11 and verse 30. 11 and 30, okay. The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is wise. Amen. Okay. Anybody else? All right. Well, how about Jesus said something close to Jesus. LaTorre had Matthew 18, 21. Can you read that out? Yes, sir. It reads, I mean, Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times Jesus said to him, I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to 70 times, seven. And Jesus said, we don't forgive, he's not going to forgive us. We talk about the, sometimes we talk about the plan of salvation, and that that's a condition of salvation, forgiveness, giving others. We expect the Lord to forgive us, and we've got to forgive others. Anybody else? Matthew 6, Luke 6. Okay. Go ahead, Tim. Yeah. Luke 6, 46 through 49. It says, why call me? Okay, I'm sorry. Yeah, Luke 6, 46 through 49. Okay. Okay. Why call me Lord, Lord, and do not disdain what I say? Whosoever cometh to me and heareth my saying, and doeth them, I will show to you whom he is like. He is like a man which built a house and digged deep and laid the foundation on a rock. And when the flood arose, the stream dipped vehemently upon that house and could not shake it, for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth and does not is like a man that without a foundation built a house upon the earth against the stream, dipped deep. You have one minute remaining. Against which the stream dipped deep vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great. Okay, that's very good. Thank you for using Global Telling. Was that Patricia that had one? Yes, Matthew 6, 19 through 21. Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Amen. And that's what you worried about, too. Anybody else? Matthew 11, 28. It says, Then Jesus said, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your soul. Amen. That's the Christian Sabbath. Not today, but it's Jesus or heaven itself. He's doing it against us in heaven. Anybody else? Uh, yeah, Mark, I have one. Okay. Matthew 20, verse 25 through 28. It says, But Jesus called them to himself and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles, Lord, is over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it should not be so among you. But whoever desires to become great among you, let him be a servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be a slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life around him for many. Okay. Good reminder. Anybody else? Charles, you're back on? Yeah, I'm back on. Would you read, or maybe read Revelation 22, 7? Okay. Revelation, uh, which chapter? Let me turn the phone off. Hold on. What'd you say? 20? 22, verse 7. All right. Behold, I come quickly, lest he that keepeth the signs of the prophecy of this book. Amen. So, last call for Jesus' head. Well, let's start with our lesson. We're still in Luke book 1, lesson 8, and we have talked a lot about the baptism that John was practicing, and then the baptism of Jesus. Just to remind us to look at who our readers are. Look at who our readers are. Patricia, would you read? Yeah, I'm with Juan. Okay. Anybody with their outline? So, let's read Mark 1, 9 through 11. Patricia, could you read that? All right. 9 through 11. Okay. It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting, and the Spirit descended upon him like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. So, he's going to use that as a springboard to talk about the Trinity, and it's one of the best lessons that I've seen on it. So, Mark Ryder says that the Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit are all three identified individually on this occasion. And then the Spirit came to pass in those days. Are all three identified individually on this occasion? Confirms that all three are persons of the Godhead. God the Father, in 1 Corinthians 8 verse 6. Charles? All right. Well, to us, there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him. And one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. All right. Okay. And then God the Son, him, John 1, 1, 2, 3. Okay. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him, nothing was made. And the Word was with God, and the Word was with God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him, nothing was made that was made. And also, 1 verse, John 1, 14. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Okay. Coco, do you have 2 John 1, 3? John 1, 3. And read, Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. So, we see clearly that Jesus is part of the Godhead. Acts 5, 3-4. Patricia, can you read that? Okay. All right. Okay. Acts 5, 3-4. But Peter said, And Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was so, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to me, but to God. Not lied to men, but to God. So, he says that he lied to the Holy Spirit, and then he says he lied to God, because we know that the Holy Spirit and God is God, and part of the Godhead. Our Father says, The perfect harmony between them in unity of purpose and work is the sense in which there is one God. In this same sense, believers are to be one as they are. Charles, can you read John 17, 20, and 21? All right. It states, Leave the prayer for these alone, but for them also wish to believe on me through their word, that they all may be one, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. All right. Amen. We know that there's a lot of people who claim to be Christians that are not unified in all kinds of different ways, in all kinds of different ways, by the name, by the word, by the worship, even the characteristics of who Jesus is, and the things we're just discussing about the Godhead itself. But now, our brother, this verse is where all three are mentioned. Let's see, Tim, would you read Matthew 28, 18-20? Okay. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. So, baptizing them in the name means by the authority of, he lists them as being equal there, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all three mentioned. And then Isaac, Acts 10, 35-38. But in every nation, whoever fears him and works righteousness is accepted by him. The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ, He is Lord of all. That word, you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit, and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. Okay, so we see that God, Jesus of Nazareth, and the Holy Spirit, all three mentioned together in that passage. And then, Coco, did you read Romans 13, I mean, Romans 15-30? Yes, Lord. Now I beg you, now I beg you, bring through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you scribe together with me, and pray us to God for me. And pray us to God for me. So there you have the Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Spirit, and the God, all together. And then, back to Patricia, about 2 Corinthians 13-14. Okay. Okay. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. Amen. So there we have the three mentions again. That communion of the Holy Spirit, we might interpret that as fellowship with the Holy Spirit. So, Charles, we'll give you a lot with Ephesians 2, 11-22. We have to pay close attention, because they are mentioned, several times in here. Go ahead, Ephesians 2, 11-22. Okay. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us, having abolished in the flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, for to make in himself of Twain one new man, so making peace. And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby, and came and preached peace to you, which were far off, and to them there were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, and whom all the building fitly framed together grew up unto a holy temple and the Lord, in whom ye also are built together for habitation of God through the Spirit. Amen. Amen. So you got the email, I got the highlighted verses there that mention Christ, God, Christ Jesus, the one Spirit, Jesus Christ, the Lord, the Father, God, and the Spirit. So we'll leave that thought in verse 23. First part of that verse is our Christ says, his public ministry, again, is the Holy Spirit and the voice of God from heaven confirmed. He is qualified for the task set before him. We learned this from the verse that he was about 30 years of age. Okay. Let me tell you once you read that, Luke 3, 23. Okay. Now, Jesus himself began his ministry at about 30 years of age. Okay. And, I had a song inserted in here, but I'll wait a minute to read it. So let's recall back. Let's go ahead and read the song. Charles, would you read number 44, Joy to the World? All right. Repeat the sound of joy, repeat the sound of joy, repeat, repeat the sound of joy. No more let sins and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground. He comes to make his blessings flow far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found, far as far as the curse is found. Now, he rules the world with truth and grace and makes the nations prove the glories of his righteousness and wonders of his love and wonders of his love and wonders and wonders of his love. Amen. Amen. So Christ came to bring joy. He brought the good news, the gospel, and that actually is based on Psalm 98, verses 4 through 9. But it's only good news if we obey the gospel, we follow what he's commanded us to do. And we read that earlier about him baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things. And Jesus commanded baptism in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Notice he didn't say to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. When he made promise to the apostles that they would be baptized in the Holy Spirit, but nowhere that I know of does he command to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, but he says to be baptized in the name of his authority. He said many other things concerning salvation. We read a verse earlier about being, not just being hearers, but doers of the word. I think Tim read that verse. Those that would obey God. And I think maybe somebody else read something along that line, too. But the question is, would you be a doer and not just a hearer? And if you care to, you can call me at 228-400-0089 if you want to discuss or study that any further. But before we conclude with a prayer, I'd like Charles again to read number 593, I'm happy today. All right. And I already, I remember that I'm happy today, I'm happy today. Okay, what you say 593? 593. All right. All right, let's say I'm happy today. Oh, yes, I'm happy today. In Jesus Christ, I'm happy today. Because he's taken all my sins away and that's why I'm happy today. I'm singing. You have one minute remaining. I'm singing today. Oh, yes. I'm singing today. In Jesus Christ, I'm singing today. Because he's taken all my sins away and that's why I'm singing today. I'm praying today. Oh, yes, I'm praying today. In Jesus Christ, I'm praying today. Because he's taken all my sins away and that's why I'm praying today. I'm living today. Oh, yes, I'm living today. In Jesus Christ, I'm living today because he's taken all my sins away and that's why I'm living today. I'm happy today. Oh, yes, I'm singing today. In Jesus Christ, I'm praying today. Because he's taken all my sins away and that's why I'm living today. Amen. Amen. So our desire for everybody those are Christians our desire for others is that they experience this happiness and joy that's talked about in these songs and I believe you can only do that when your sins are washed away. Thank you for using global telling become that new man that new person or as Jesus told Nicodemus to be born again Peter spoke about the new birth also So let's all consider those Consider those those things Make whatever changes in our lives that we need to make To really become happy Uh Isaac would you lead us in a closing prayer? I pray for all the children um out of this world is truly a wicked world that the Satan is constantly trying to uh pervert them uh with this homosexuality with this uh sexual immorality uh Lord, we pray to be with their minds as they're more they're more violent because of the things they watch and see lord I praise you be with them and And uh lord allowing us to set a a greater example for them that they may know who you are and let us Restore you back into our household I praise for every household in the world lord that you Will reign supreme In every every one house We ask this prayer in jesus name.
