Welcome to the introduction of Beyond the Mirror podcast. I'm Michelle and I'm here with the greatest, Sarah. Oh, thank you. Hello. I'm so excited to be here with you, Michelle, and everyone and just to dive into the aesthetic world with you. Absolutely. So today we plan on introducing Quintessa, our amazing company where we work, our amazing doctors, and some of the most sought-out treatments, surgical and non-surgical. But first, Sarah and I really want to share why this podcast is so important and why we decided to call it Beyond the Mirror. Yeah, absolutely. You know, we really wanted to create a place or a space for people to, you know, feel like they can go to that is educational and that will, you know, inform our listeners about the aesthetic world and kind of break away from, you know, all the, how do we say it, like, superficial beauty. Yeah. I think a lot of times too it's, you know, people think that it's a world full of perfection or, you know, just this artificiality. I was going to say artificial. Oh, you're thinking just like me. Because it's true. People do think that. For sure. And I understand why. But that's not, we're going to dig up and debunk all of that. Absolutely. I totally, totally agree. And especially through, you know, a podcast platform, it's, we have access to so many people that might not walk through the doors quite yet, but have thought about it or want to, or they have something that's always bothered them and they didn't even know there was something that could be done about it. So I think just empowering, you know, people and our listeners to make really informed choices, because let's be honest, there's some bad information out there. So embracing our differences, looking and seeking out transformations with confidence. And then most importantly, just empowering everyone to celebrate their unique beauty and what makes them them in this constantly involving industry that, you know, sometimes trends can make everyone on the East Coast or West Coast look the same. And that's not what we're all about. No. And kind of going back into what you're saying about, you know, just bringing empowerment and confidence for women and men. I think that's just huge. And I think in today's world, too, it's just so hard to feel good about yourself. And, you know, doing a little thing here and there is not gonna hurt anybody. And if that makes you feel a little bit better, I mean, I think that's, you know, empowering. Yeah, yeah, for sure. And yeah, just being that trusted source. I think that's huge. Oh my gosh, I love that you said that. Yeah. Yeah. And so we thought about doing a podcast. Oh my gosh, like, nine months ago. Because you do our social media, and you get all of the DMs, messages, emails from our newsletter and people just asking questions. Yeah, I get like nonstop questions all the time. Which is amazing. Right? Yeah. So we thought, you know, we have our newsletter, we have our socials, but a podcast where we could answer listeners' questions, have experts on who work here. I mean, we have access to all of this. Right. Let's share it. Yeah. And we just wanted it to be in a way that like, people could, whether they're like working out, or, you know, they're on their way to work, and they're driving, or they're with their kiddos, and they just want to put like something on the background. We just wanted it to be like, just something that people could, you know, gain a little bit more information about, if they feel like they don't have the time to, to just kind of give them that time. Right. Yeah, I don't know about you, but for me, hearing someone's, someone else's story of like a personal transformation, it's so inspiring. So inspiring. For sure. It's like reading reviews on Google. Yeah. Or how happy someone is with their purchase. Like I trust that a little bit more. For sure. It makes you like want to come in instantly. Right. So I'm really excited. Part of our, you know, thought process between, you know, having access to these experts and working in this industry every single day, we also have access to patients who share their story. So we'll have some patients come on and share their story where they were before they did, you know, their treatment or their journey and where they are now and how that's impacted their life. For sure. I'm really excited about that. And then just talking about self-love, increased confidence. I mean, everything that you want. And for some reason, like you were saying earlier, it's harder these days. So hard. Social media and the world is just, it's hard. I mean, to be honest, it feels fake, you know, like the world feels fake, but you know, we want to bring some real safe space. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's the perfect word for that. Yeah. And you had said, you know, a trusted source, you know, we want to give information that's accurate because there is so much, so much information out there. And tick tock trends. And then, you know, doctors coming on, just don't do that, please. So being able to give accurate information is huge. I think too, like you also I think we were talking about this a while ago, too, is that there are, you know, doctors and other places that are doing weird stuff online, you know, like, I think we were talking about how surgery is happening inside of, you know, like apartments or hotels. That's what it was. Yeah. Yeah. Which is nuts. Counterfeit injectables, which is scary. Yeah. So well, I'm sure we'll touch on that. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So go ahead. I was just going to say to that, like, I think beyond the mirror is also just a place for anybody. So whether you're, you know, working here for like 20 years, and you know, the industry and you've come to, you know, injectables or laser treatments or whatever it is, and you know about this industry, or if you're somebody new, just trying to, you know, dabble in it. I think it's a place for everybody. Yeah. Or all of a sudden you wake up and you're like, wow, I don't look like myself, which is happening all the time. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, I love that. And we know, and Sarah and I, you and I talk about this all the time, that mental and emotional well being is just so incredibly important. So important. And I know that when we were discussing, okay, what is our vision? What is our mission of this podcast? What is beyond the mirror mean? And we just started talking so much, and we got so deep into it. Because we value that so much. We do. That inner beauty, that inner confidence, you know, kind of striving to work on yourself constantly. And I feel like that's the one thing we all have in common here at Quintessa. Yeah. And then we want that for our patients. And so for, you know, starting a podcast, we were like, well, we've got these resources, we've got expert advice, we have stories that address, you know, the psychological aspects of doing elective treatments. And then on the flip side of that, you know, our patients have to navigate that because we want our patients to be their authentic self, right? Not a Kim Kardashian or, you know, Megan Fox. And so it's like, how do you as a provider have that conversation with someone to maintain, you know, their authenticity, but just feel more confident? Right. I think that, too, is just what Quintessa is all about. It's like, we're so focused on just improving and, you know, and not crazy, but just giving natural results and, you know, helping our patients feel and look their best. So. Yeah. So for anyone who doesn't know, let's just back up and talk about Quintessa for a second. We are a non-surgical and surgical treatment center for elective cosmetic treatments, which I love. It's been my whole life. I, my mom even tells a story about me being like a little girl and everything cosmetic or skincare feel good. I just love that. Yeah. What about you? Kind of same thing. Like, I remember my mom wasn't really like into the beauty scene. So for me, I was always admiring other, you know, women or my friends. And I wanted to just feel better about myself because I wasn't being taught how to, like, look cuter or do that, you know, all that stuff. So I would read books and, like, try these, like, at-home face masks. Like mixing oatmeal and honey. I'm not even kidding. Like, literally, it was mixing oatmeal. That's how I know. But for me, I think that's what excited me about it. That, you know, doing a little something for me made me feel better. And I just continued. It was in your control. It was in my, exactly. Yeah. A hundred percent. That's great. Yeah. And so I joined Quintessa eight years ago, which is amazing. I can't believe it's gone by so fast. And actually, I absolutely love working here, mostly because my morals and value align with those of the owners and everyone else that works here. And I think that's where Beyond the Mirror is going to be important to let people know, you know, we're not that stereotypical, what you think a medical or plastic surgery center would be. We're pretty down-to-earth. And again, going back to that up-and-itself and what's important to you and making you feel confident and beautiful. That's what's important. For those who are listening, you probably don't know who was saying that. That was Michelle. Can you tell us a little bit about what you do? Oh, sure. Yeah. So at Quintessa, I basically oversee operations, which I absolutely love. I hire, I set up trainings, I help facilitate growth, and I work directly under our owner and president, Dr. Campbell, who is the man I learned so much from him. You work very closely with him. Very closely. And a lot of the values that are instilled in the culture and the environment of Quintessa come directly from him. It's what's important, you know, family and relationships, having a passion for this industry like we all do, and then just teamwork. And, you know, we're all a team and we're here for ourselves and we're here for our patients and for the community. And it's beautiful. I absolutely love it. Yeah. I was going to say, like, you can totally feel it and see it when you're here, for sure. 100%. I love that. And then, so why don't you tell us a little bit. So Sarah. Yeah, this is me. Sarah has been an amazing addition to the team. Oh, you made my dreams come true on a weekly basis. It's true. It's melted my heart. Yeah. So tell us a little bit about what you do. Yeah. So I run social media and our newsletter and event planning. Michelle and I both do that. We've done commercials. We have radio ads. Radio ads. Yeah. We do it all. PC. Digital marketing. Yeah. I love it. Yeah. And I was just like really happy to be part of Quintessa because I've always been in marketing and done odd jobs here and there, but to be in an industry that I'm actually passionate about and to do. Life changing. Yeah, exactly. To collab both, like, of my favorite things. It's been pretty awesome. So, yeah. Awesome. Yeah. So when I started, let's see, we had two locations, Mequon and Sheboygan. One doctor, Dr. Campbell. Right. And we were in the process of opening our third location in Delafield. Okay. So now, so we have those three locations and then we opened Middleton, Brooksfield, our third local center, and we have Ford Actors, which is amazing. I love working for a company that has growth and is just always kind of on the up and up. Right. Forward facing. For sure. Yeah. And each location I think is really great because we are so spread out. I mean, any cousin, friend, wherever they live. Yeah. I trust every single provider at all. 100%. They're just so like knowledgeable and talented at what they do. There's like no fear in it at all. Right. Like you don't want to send your best friend's mom. I love that. I love that. I'm like, no, go see so and so. At that location, you're going to have a great experience. And knowing that is really amazing. Yeah. 100%. So what has been your, I guess, favorite part of planning and executing this podcast? I think, you know, to be honest, it's been interesting. It's been hard, I would have to say, but like, it's been really awesome to feel like, okay, we are doing this. But yeah, learning how podcasting works and how people do it. I mean, I give it, I give it to them. Yeah. You guys are working hard. You killed it. You've done a good job. I just had to show up and start talking. This is all Sarah. Okay, but she does like so many other things. I think we balance each other out. It's fine. We do balance each other out. And I'm excited to have our staff on. So next week, next week, we're having Dr. Andrew Campbell, Dr. Andrew Campbell, the one, the only, the man himself, which I'm so excited for. For those of you who don't know, he's the founder of Quintessa and a double board certified facial plastic surgeon. Yeah, I'm so excited to talk to him and hear his story and why he became a facial plastic surgeon and his journey and just like how he, you know, made Quintessa what it is today. Oh my gosh, I know. Grew Quintessa. It's amazing, right? Yeah. Well, I think that's about it. As we wrap up our first episode of Beyond the Mirror, join us next time for a conversation with the man himself, Dr. Andrew Campbell. And before we go, we have a little favor to ask.
