People are gathering, people are celebrating, and it's all about food, of course. And joining me again here at the RNJ Morning Program, she's back already. We're going to call her our official at-home chef and lifestyle influencer who is back with us. We have Janice D. Ireland returning to the RNJ Morning Program. Good morning. You're back so soon. I can't believe this. We're talking about Labor Day already. Good morning. Yeah, you just can't get rid of me. I know. It's crazy that summer is over. And, you know, at least here, I'm in Ohio this morning. It's like 60. It is beautiful. It's starting to feel like fall, and I'm here for it. See, I'm so jealous because that's the weather that we're going to get here in Jersey for the next several days. We just got some showers moving through here. But it sounds like it's going to be a really nice weekend holiday weather-wise for us here in New Jersey. And some recipes and some ideas for Labor Day, Janice D., you're back to share those with us this morning? Yeah, so Labor Day is actually, you know, kind of the unofficial end to summer. It's also the unofficial start to football season, which is pretty exciting. So a lot of people will be gathering this weekend. They're going to be firing up those grills, perhaps for one of the last times of the season. It's tied for Memorial Day as the second most popular holiday for grilling, of course, behind the Fourth of July, which comes in as first. And it's just a really great time to get together with some of your friends and family. Perhaps you're traveling. Perhaps you're going to be hosting. So getting together with the food, the beverages, asking folks to bring side dishes, and preparing for that meal. You know, right now, the planning process starts, I would say, today if you're going to be hosting something this weekend. Yeah, I'm glad you mentioned football season. Our local team here, they're playing their second high school game of the season already tomorrow night. They're on game number two. Rutgers football, I think, kicks off this weekend. Ohio State, go easy on Rutgers this year, Shanesty. I hope so. And then, of course, we've got the NFL. Aaron Rodgers is playing in our neck of the woods nowadays. So getting ready for the football games is very exciting. It really is. You know, 99% of the time, the NFL will absolutely start their first official season game the Thursday after Labor Day or the weekend of. So it's just – it's a good time to get together with friends and family. And as I mentioned, there's just something so magical about fall and Labor Day and just, you know, coming together for this last kickoff, this last, I should say, closure of the summer season. Yep, there you go. Today we're talking about some of the Julian's Recipe items, and you've got some information on that. I know you talk about these terrific sandwiches when you come on with me. Something else different that we're going to talk about today, the Julian's Recipe line of things and how they can complement a Labor Day gathering and celebration. Julian's Recipe is an authentic European bakery style baguette. They come in a variety of different flavors to choose from. They have the traditional, multi-grain, the pretzel. My personal favorite is the truffle butter. So essentially it's just a baguette that you can find in your frozen food section there locally at Whole Foods or Food Town, and you just pop them into the oven for about, I would say, eight or so minutes. You could also, of course, do it on the grill top if you do have the grill fired up. And the recipe that I'm sharing with you today is Julian's Recipe baguette pizza bites. So it's a little bit of a twist on the traditional baguette that you might be serving like a caprese or, you know, on a charcuterie board. These are going to be pizza bites. So what we're going to be doing is taking just one of the original recipe baguettes. You could also do the pretzel or the truffle butter for this. We're going to be just making it according to the package. Slice, of course, along the perforated lines of the baguette. Open that up. Distribute the marinara sauce evenly on each slice of the bread. Top it with the cheese and the pepperoni. Pop it back into the oven or on the grill top for about ten more minutes to get that cheese nice and melty. And I've got to tell you, my kids love this because it's a nice twist on pizza because you can also utilize the grill. And it's super simple because you can find it in your frozen food section. And what's better than pizza on a Labor Day holiday weekend? Yeah, I can't think of anything, that's for sure. My guest this morning, she's back with us, Shanisty Ireland, at-home chef and lifestyle influencer, with just some really cool Labor Day and football season tailgate party ideas for us here at the morning program. Shanisty, some people listening might be a little bit skeptical, like, oh, frozen bread, I've had it before, it doesn't do this, it doesn't do that. This has really come a long way. And these products here from Julian's, you get them frozen, but boy, when you heat them up, whether it's on the grill, like you had mentioned, or you pop them in the oven for a few moments, you would swear this was fresh out of the bakery. I mean, they've come along in such a long way that they ship frozen. But when you heat them up, they are so good and so delicious and taste so fresh as well. Absolutely, and that's just credit to the wholesome, high-quality ingredients that they use. They use real European butter for their baguettes. They're ready in minutes to heat, and they're just so easy to grab and go. You could even, honestly, you could pop these in your kids' lunches. You could heat them up and create these pizza bites for their lunches. You could take them with you for your work lunch. They're just a really simple, delicious, wholesome idea, and a nice spin on perhaps the traditional sandwich or the traditional pizza that we're all accustomed to. Excellent. Website or social media, we could just search Julian's to find out where we could buy the line of products? Absolutely. Julian'srecipe.com. They're also on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. And if you want to learn more about me, I'm on Instagram. It's at ShaniceTheIreland. Oh, I'm a follower. You better believe I'm already a follower if you're on social. ShaniceTheIreland, thanks so much for joining me on the program today. All the best to you and your family. Have a great and safe and fun Labor Day weekend, and I'm sure we'll talk again as we move through 2023. So thanks again for the time today. Thank you for having me.
