Nothing to say, yet
The main ideas from this information are: - The speaker talks about how he almost ended his life, but then realized that he would have missed out on portraying Jesus in a movie. - The speaker learned from Agnes the importance of dying to self and not seeking personal glory. - The conversation also touches on the topic of suicide and how prevalent it is worldwide. - The speaker's husband made a decision to leave his job and go into ministry after a spiritual experience. - The couple faced financial challenges, but God always provided for them, even in unexpected ways. - They were involved in various ministries, such as feeding the poor and providing Christmas gifts to children in need. - The speaker emphasizes the faithfulness of God throughout their journey. I don't think he had any purpose, he didn't want to go on, and if he would have ended his life, he said I would have never been used to do the most incredible portrayal of Jesus. So I would have missed that. Right, and so I was kind of connected with what you were saying. And he also said that he actually died in the Passion. And he said that happened after he said, let them not see me, but let them see you. So it was the death of self. And I think that's one thing that I learned from Agnes, you know, it was the death of self. Right. Because no glory will, you know, be lifted up. No glory will be glorified but Jesus. No flesh will be glorified. And it's really, it's just yielding and dying, yielding and dying. And it's a daily process. But once we get off of that and we begin to live for us, or self, I think we begin to lose it. Yes. It's kind of like scripturally, you know, to be content in whatever state you're in. And as you were talking I noticed that you are content in whatever state you're in. Whether you're, you know, have to take a bus down from Hanford to L.A., or whether your first son-in-law is going to pick you up, like that training is in you, that's being used. Maybe it will come to you later. There was some type of connection to what you were saying with what he said in the movie theater. That if he would have ended right there, that he would never have been able to portray Jesus Christ, which is the most iconic role known to an actor. And privileged. And anyway, thank God you allowed God to move in your life, train you. Were you ever suicidal as a kid? Yes. Have you talked about that? I don't remember. I don't think I... I may have mentioned it. Yeah, I did. I mentioned it too. Because that's very prevalent in the story. It's such a big deal, like all over the world right now. People can't handle the gross darkness ending their lives. But yet, you, so the enemy tried to kill you through the suicide, but you didn't... God rescued me. God rescued you, brought you to Agnes. God used her to train you. And I'm sure not everything you agreed with, but yet you sat still and allowed God to train you. And there's something to be said about that. That's incredible. So now, have you talked about your kids? Yeah, I have. And I do want this in the book about what God's doing in my school and how he doesn't believe in all this nonsense. And that he wants his kids properly trained and educated. He says he doesn't want the government to teach his children. And his little boy goes to a Christian school. And he's had to make a lot of fans because of the atheist family, my husband's family, where he has openly told them, I've come back to my roots. This is when I deteriorate, when I begin to believe your philosophy. And he made stands for the truth. So, I'm praying for him to continue. Right. Now, Diane, this is a very personal note, and I don't know if you want to conclude with your kids in it. Yes or no? I guess. I don't know. Okay. You just say it later. Take that back, whatever. So, your children must recognize your peace. Yes? Yes. Do they recognize you are serving God? I believe so, to a degree. Yes. Yes. Yes, because they all try to come to you all the time. When I come into town, they all flock in. They all flock in, yes. And you're a very good cook, also. They come from mom's cooking. Now, were you a good cook before Summer Haven? No, I didn't even know how to cook. I learned everything at Summer Haven. I learned how to eat vegetables, which I didn't know. So, you grew up on what? Beans, rice, and tortillas. My mom made homemade tortillas. Flour and corn. And salsa. And we'd do a lot of chicken tacos, because we would get the commodity, or beef tacos. Beef or pork. We would use the can. Yes, that was our source of food, a lot of that commodity. We'd get so excited when we'd pick up our commodities. A segue here, which makes me start thinking how God has provided you all this year. So, I never see you and Jamie ever, like, ever concerned financially. Like, so I know where you are, maybe your residence is provided for, but God has provided. Let's talk about God's provision. Well, let me go back. My husband, James, he was working for a prestige company, Aerospace, and they actually wanted to put him through schooling. They were going to pay for that, and because they saw a quality in Jamie. He's smart, and also he could talk to people. He's very friendly. It's hard to find an engineer that can communicate and do both at the same time. So, when the Lord visited him in his office, there was a El Salvador house cleaner that came in to clean the offices. And in that time, she looked very sad, and my husband was a Christian already at that time. But he couldn't understand why people neglected those type of people that came to clean. The people that worked there wouldn't even say thank you or hello, how are you, and Jamie always went out of his way. Well, that day, this El Salvador lady came in and he said, are you okay? She said, no, I don't know if my family is alive or dead in El Salvador. And so, Jamie, all he needed to do was to pray. So, he prayed for her, and she wiped her eyes, and she said, I feel better. And after that, when she left, he said, the finger of Jesus came in his office, and the Lord said, see, all of this is coming to an end, but my heart is these people. And through that experience, he had already been going to Summer Haven, and his story is a story in itself. And he left, oh, he made a decision, they were going to pay for him for more schooling because they were promoting him. And he made a decision to leave the work and to go into ministry. So, he left, and six months later is when I met him. And that's when I was coming down the driveway for the first time, and the audible voice of God said, this is your husband. The first time you drove on to Summer Haven? First time, I didn't even know Jamie. And the Lord told you this is your husband? Uh-huh. Have you talked about that a little bit? Yeah. Okay. Have God joined you? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And did you talk about the opposition, or do you want to talk about the opposition? No, I talked about, I shared, basically. Okay. Uh-huh. And then, so after that, Jamie had money in the bank, you know, because he stayed. But when he came to Summer Haven, he had such a burden for all the speakers that would come in into the missionary work, where he, you know, he said he remembers when he took the last money out of his account. And he took a big, deep breath and said, okay, God, you know, and that was it. But through the years, well, we married. Yeah. And then two and a half years later, God provided. In three weeks, we were married, and I kind of shared how the Lord, and how the provision came in. We had provision that hadn't come in like that, but it just came in the time that we were married. Right. So then the money that we had received, we kind of used it as we went back to Mexico. Yeah. But it never lacked. Right. I don't know how to, I know when we lived in Vicente Guerrero, and we worked in the brick area, sometimes we didn't even have the gas to get there, you know, to get back. But always, the poorest of the poor, the oldest ladies would just come and give us a couple bucks. I remember when we lived in Mexico, there was a woman that had cancer. And I said, kids, we have to get medicine. This woman needs this medicine. And we just all got our money together. And I heard, he that lended to the poor giveth to the Lord. Yeah. And I remember we went and bought that medicine. And Jamie had to cross the border. He went to our mailbox, and he said there was a check there. The people in Canada, the Lord burdened them to send us a check. Wow. I think it was like $350. And it was just like the Lord always provided. So you were giving your last money to the ladies' cancer. Mm-hmm. And then the same day, a check came in? Probably the next day that he crossed the border. Which came all the way to Canada. And we never had received a check from Canada. We never, you know. And the dog was ahead of the whole thing. He was ahead. Because first he got there the next day. Yeah. I don't know if it was the next day, but I know when we crossed the border to check our mailbox, it was in there. And so we always, it was as if always somebody would bring food or, you know, we never lacked. We, you know, and the Lord always provided. I remember during Christmastime, we received about a thousand gifts. And we made about a thousand candy bags and food. You know, bags of food that people had donated. And we would go to different stores and they would donate. And through the donations, we were able to feed like 70 children a week. Down there in... In Lexington, Cali. Uh-huh. And I remember we were so involved. We had like maybe 15 turkeys donated and we were cooking them. And we also had a bus, so we would cook food and we would take it to the forest areas and feed them and give out candy bags and give out presents. Well, we were so busy doing that. And the day of Christmas comes up and I realized I had not even got a gift for my kids. I was so involved in giving. Sure. But an elderly couple that lived in El Centro came and they had beautiful gifts. Big, beautiful gifts for my children. They said the Lord had burdened their hearts to come and bring those gifts. Wow. And I was like... Wow. The faithfulness of God. The faithfulness of God. So you were faithful to His Word, feeding all these very poor people. Very poor people. Giving them the turkey dinner, giving them the candy bags or whatever else. In the gifts, yeah. And then God... And then also they each took bags of food home to cook as well. Yeah. Oh my. Is there any other thing that stands out to you, like that story, that's an incredible story, of the provision of God or of the miracle working power of God throughout your whole tenure? Yeah. All these years, four years. Well, where were the ministries that were there? I think we're going on 27 years. When we got there, we didn't know how we would sustain. Right. Or, you know, it's big facilities and we didn't have an income. Wow. The income we have is only the provision of what God has. Right. So I remember, since we've been there, we've never been late on one bill. And I can't tell you how or what because we never charge. Right. And the only offerings that we take is for the mission. We never take an offering for ourselves and we never have. Right. And one time, we were, Jamie was in the office and he was, we needed to pay a bill. And we never charge groups that come either. Right, right. But if they want. No, we always say, you know, you can give an offering, but we want it to come out of the heart. Yeah. Beautiful. So, we were up in the office and Jamie was like crying, God, have I done anything wrong? Yeah. You know, you always check yourself. Right. And I said, the Lord just spoke to me. He just told me just now. And he said, it's coming. So, I walked downstairs and there's a woman there and she said, I, and she wrote out a check. And she said, I, you know. Want to give you this. Want to give you this. And then it paid the bill. It paid the bill. Wow. And then when we had all the, we had all those boys there, you know, and we were schooling and schooling our own kids. I remember someone came and they knocked the fence down and hit the tree. They had fallen asleep on the road and their insurance had to fix the fence. Sure. So, that money, I think it paid for all the materials or something that we needed. It just. Just one way or another. Yeah. And then people would just come off. There was a woman that she said, she was from Texas. And she was just driving by and the Lord told her, go leave a check there. And she just came in and said, I just, the Lord told me to leave a check there. Wow. And you didn't even know her? No. Wow. And. So, Diane, I mean, it's really remarkable. We're talking, have you been there 27 years? Yeah. Okay. But previous to that, it's been like 42 years between when you entered and terminated. So, Summer Haven, when you went on all these mission trips all over, never gave you money. They never funded. Right. I was glad because it taught us to rely on God. Right. Even when we were going to Mexico, somebody gave us that bus. And it would just seem like the money would be there because. We were doing God's work. We were doing God's work. So, safe to say, what's this year? 2023 minus 1981. How many years does that work? Like 42 years? Okay. Safe to say 42 years, God has provided for you. You've now worked. Yes. I mean, this is a huge statement. Yeah. So, you obey God, He takes care of the rest. Yes. I remember when our car had went out on us, we were needing a new car, you know. Yes. And someone approached me and said, just meet us at the car lot and pick out the car you need. And that's the car we have now. And we're very thankful for it, you know. So, you were able to pick out the car. Uh-huh. And they paid cash right there on the spot. And just, it's amazing because through the ministry, we send to Africa, Mexico, Ecuador, China, India. India. India. Let's see if I, I might have missed someone. But we, Guatemala. So, out of the ministry, living by faith, we give monthly. And all your bills are in there. Uh-huh. Which is not a small thing if you're on a 50-acre ranch. Yeah. Yes. And we like to have. Yes. This needs to be very clear. And dormitories. And dormitories. And bigger facilities. So, there's a lot of bills to end in high, high heat by 120 degrees. Yeah, electric. Yeah. So, this is a very big statement that God has provided. Yeah. All these years. And it's amazing because we just get like a, you know, it just comes in. Right. And then one gentleman that's been very precious, he sends monthly. Sometimes he'll send twice. And Jamie just says, you know, we just want to thank you for that. Right. For that offering. He says, I want to thank you because my lot, I don't know where I would be if I hadn't come. Wow. He came to King's Ranch and he was delivered from drugs. Wow. And he was, thought he was divorced to his wife. When he came and his wife came, thought it wasn't his wife. They thought they were separated. The spirit of prophecy came on me and said, the Lord says you guys are going to be closer than you ever have. And then they, I don't remember what I said, but they found out that they were never divorced. That the paperwork never went through. Never. And they're a very strong marriage, you know. And he says, you know, I thank you because I would not be here today if God didn't bring him. Wow. Wow, man. So we'll get surprised by little checks, you know, from different sources or God will burn people. And we never know how it's going to come. Right. But it comes. But it comes. And I know since I've seen you in the last five years, God, I think you said once that God sent you to Hawaii or something? Oh, the Lord told me, gave us a word that he would always provide for us. Even free vacation. Wait, God said what? He gave us a word through a prophet that God would provide even vacation. Right, even some restaurants for you guys. And that has happened where people will just approach us and say, we want to pay. Like, we're going to send you to this resort. We want you guys. We're paying for everything. Wait, so how about the jerk off? And then, you know, like take you on a cruise. You know, we've been, not that we even desire those things, but the Lord. And then one time I got a suitcase for my birthday and I said, all I need is my trip, my ticket to Hawaii. And two weeks later, someone calls me up and says, can you guys get away for two weeks? I said, I don't know. Well, the Lord burdened me to pay for a ticket for you guys to go to Hawaii. And then by the time we were leaving, the Lord had put a thousand dollars in our hands. So then when we were able to go to the main part of Hawaii, we flew to Kona Island. We had the money to fly. And then we had a connection where we met a pastor from Canada and we ended up ministering in his church. You know, it was kind of like a divine connection. Yes. And I noticed that on many of your trips, it starts out one way and winds up another, like your son's wedding into Japan. Oh, yes. Talk about that. What happened? Something ministerial happened. Well, when we were in the healing room in Washington, we had met a group of Japanese. And the Lord had us minister to this Japanese group and the glory of God came down and they all got slain. And they invited us to come to minister there. So that was the time that Isaac... Do I keep going? Yes, keep going. That was the time my son Isaac married a Japanese. So we went to their wedding in Japan and it was very beautiful. You know, the Lord's presence was with us.
