A lever consists of a rigid mass that rotates around a fixed point called a fulcrum. It is acted upon by two forces, resistance and power, or driving force. The distance between the forces and the fulcrum is called the arm, with the longer arm being more advantageous. The moment of force is the product of the force's intensity and the arm's direction. If the driving force's arm is longer than the resistant force's arm, the lever is advantageous. Conversely, if it is shorter, it is disadvantageous. For long arms, the longer lever is defined in defense. The longer position of the fulcrum relative to the two forces determines the type of lever, so it is not the only force.
