Tucker Carlson criticized mainstream media for focusing on irrelevant debates and not discussing important issues like war, civil liberties, science, demographic changes, and corporate power. Balbinder Ruby, an author and earth scientist, discussed his book "New World Order: The Rise of the Transnational Corporate Republic" which explores the changing geopolitical landscape. He believes that change is inevitable and that competing forces will shape the future. Ruby also discussed the impact of globalization, information technology, and the COVID-19 pandemic. He addressed the perception of the New World Order as a conspiracy theory and discussed the diminishing sovereignty of nation-states, including monetary sovereignty. This will be interesting. In Tucker Carlson's first statement after leaving Fox this week, he emphasised that the debates you see on television today in the mainstream media are unbelievably stupid and completely irrelevant. That's what he said, and I played it for you yesterday on the program. The important issues get virtually no discussion at all, at least intelligent discussion, he suggested. You know, the ones that will define our future like war, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic changes, corporate power. Tucker says suddenly the United States looks very much like a one party state. Well, my question to you today, how has this occurred? My next guest will no doubt give us some food for thought about how this has occurred. Balbinder Ruby is an entrepreneur and accomplished author and earth scientist. His latest book, New World Order, The Rise of the Transnational Corporate Republic was published this year. But Balbinder also authored The Provocateur, Spilling Beans by No Means, which he published in 2022. Both books demonstrate his knowledge in international relations and geopolitical affairs. He is currently working on his third book, Climate Conundrum, The Agendas and the Forces at Play, which deals with climate change, of course, with a background in earth science and having worked with the Geological Survey of India. Balbinder brings a unique perspective to his writing. I've got him online right now. Balbinder, thank you very much for your time on TNT Radio. Thank you, Chris. Thanks for having me. That's okay. How long have you been researching in the geopolitical sphere? This has been an ongoing process for a very long time, but recently I've tried to put it in writing. Although I have been writing articles here and there, I've just now decided to put it in a book so that others also know about it. So was it your frustration with the way geopolitics is changing that prompted you to write The New World Order? Actually, this is the natural societal evolution of human normal organic evolution. It's of no use whether you get frustrated or not, but evolution is going on. The conditions and situations and international politics and everything is changing. So I'm looking at it from that point of view, and I'm looking at what is changing, why it's changing, and how it's going to work out and what it's leading to. Is it changing for the best or the worst? Look, I think personally every change is for the better. There is a struggle of competing forces, you know. The battle always takes over. It's up to our conviction or our attachment, emotional attachment or any attachment to whatever concept or country or anything, whether you like it or whether you don't like it. What things have to be changing, they will be changing. There will be competing forces playing a role to balance the power. It's like an international relation. There are various forces, various countries, various wars going on, various groups, various economic groups, various political groups. They play a role. What is the consequence of all of these forces? What it leads to is what we can't avoid. Nobody can avoid it. You can play your role. All these groups and organizations, international organizations, local organizations, social organizations, political organizations, economic organizations, they are playing their role. But the total, overall, whatever situation is evolving, that is the discussion of this book. The period of this book is starting from the downfall of the British Empire after the World War. And starting from there, what's going on and what's happening with the democracy, the capitalism, with the corporations, where is the sovereignty of nation states going? What are the other forces playing? What has happened? What did the globalization do? What did the IT, information technology evolution did do? And who is taking the benefit? Who is on the loser side? Who are the gainer sides? And what is the interplay of these things? So the recent COVID-19, in fact, opened the eyes to so many forces. Absolutely. COVID certainly opened the candle to all of that. Can I ask you this, though? The New World Order is often dismissed as some kind of conspiracy theory. What's your quick response? I see there has always been a conspiracy theory behind the World Order. It has been so long in the history, in the literature. Is it a conspiracy? You can call it conspiracy or you cannot call it conspiracy. It depends on you. But conspiracy doesn't happen without a substance behind it. There may be a little bit of it, there may be more of it. And so as long as and when you keep learning and keep knowing who the force is behind, the image will emerge, the real image will emerge too. Scientific research method, you have to think, you have to challenge, you have to question. So questioning and thinking that something behind is different, you can call it conspiracy or you can call it another way of thinking. And conspiracies have been going on in every case, like in COVID. Okay. Political correctness. Political correctness pops up almost as a theme in your book. Are we now living out George Orwell's 1984, do you think? Yeah, this is part of the social revolution, this political revolution is keeping going on. That's one of the things, like I heard, I read Brave New World a long time ago, and still I think that whatever was written in the Brave New World book, you know, is going towards that side. So this is what you're mentioning is just one of the aspects. Political conspiracy is one of the aspects in the political system, political environment in different countries, which is not good. Political correctness, you know, it takes you away from the real objective of the politics, what you should look for. It keeps you involved in smaller things and diverts your attention from, it diverts you from the focus, that's how I think it. Okay, one last question. You refer to the end of monetary sovereignty. Yes. What do you mean, and how serious is this? Listen, this is one of the, like the political sovereignty is diminishing, the role of nation-state is disappearing, because of the many things, like the introduction of dual citizenship. It's the introduction of citizenship by sale, when you, when somebody pays you a large sum of money and get citizenship for a particular country. So these are the things which are affecting the sovereignty of the country. So globalization, what it has done, it has made the world interconnected. So sovereignty, there's no such thing as a sovereign, national sovereign state, because as alone no state can take any decision in the present context, because you have to take into consideration you are allies, you are enemies, your neighbors and all that thing. I see it from that aspect. As far as this monetary sovereignty, it's like in so far America has a hold of having the dollar trading as a trading instrument, you know. Not so much nowadays though. Yeah, that's what I'm, this is what I'm hinting at, because it's the things are changing. It's not as much anymore and China is trying to introduce, you know, and do the dealership with other countries. The Chinese and Russia are doing so. Similarly, like this evolution of the information technology and telecommunication, cryptocurrency is coming into, coming into force. Exactly, exactly. I've run out of time, Belvinda. I'm sorry about that, but I just thought it was worth, for those who enjoy, you know, the unpacking of this topic, the New World Order, I thought it was worth raising today the rise of the Transnational Corporate Republic, which is for publication this year and it's on the shelf, but you're also coming up with the climate conundrum and I look forward to that book as well. Belvinda, thank you very much for your time. Thank you, thank you very much, Chris. Thanks for having me. Thank you. No problem. Belvinda Ruby and the New World Order. Don't miss out on a thing.
