Astronomers found a gas cloud near our solar system where new stars are forming. It's surprising that it wasn't noticed before, but the researchers measured the cloud later and reinterpreted old data. Astronomers have recently discovered a large cloud of gas in which many new stars are being formed, not far from our own solar system. While it would seem surprising that the phenomena hadn't been previously noticed, the researchers explain their research's innovation is measured the gas cloud more late to the discovery after old were reinterpreted.
