All right, welcome to Upward and Awkward. Welcome, I'm Amy. And I'm Nancy. We're so happy to be here together as we start this podcast adventure. Yes, we have learned that companioning one another through the hard and weird parts of living, okay. We've learned that companioning one another through the hard and weird parts of living and loving is really the secret ingredient. Yeah, it is, and we know people need spaces for honest talk and some comfort on topics that everybody is pondering, feeling, and living, but we so often feel like we're alone. Yeah, and at many times in our lives, I know we both have seriously wished for spaces like this and we didn't have them. And we do now in our lives. We have an idea of how amazing that is. And we're really lucky, and we want more people to have them too. So that's what we're doing here. We're here for anybody who's wondering, is this just a hard and weird part of life for me? Is it me? Am I the only one? We're not. Yes, you're not. We're here to talk about what's helped us and to bring you some of the people and voices who have helped us along the way. Yeah, our goal, I think, is we want our listeners to feel less alone when they hear the things that we're talking about, the guests that we're bringing on, that it will resonate with you and that you'll have something to take away and incorporate into your life. The great news about this podcast is we really want you to come exactly as you are because we believe that you're perfect exactly where you are. I know I hope that this will feel like a refuge in the wilderness of living and loving and that we'll have some fun and we'll cultivate connections. We are planning on talking about a variety of common human experiences related to love and heartbreak, joy, grief and trauma, recovery of all kinds, relationships, and the big thing that's going around town right now, loneliness. Yes, yes. We'll bring guests whose stories and support have helped us so much in our lives because we really think they'll be able to help you too. We do. Can we invite you to pull up a seat?
