stuff out early. Hi, Audacity! Wait, can you- why is it not- Hello, Audacity! Did you- did it pick it up? It just looks littler than usual. Yeah, that's okay. Okay. Can you start it? I'm so bad at starting the podcast. Yeah, I just be like, hi, but- but, hi. Wait, what's our topic again? Um, today we're talking about social life in college. First, we're talking about how much we hate men. Mm-hmm. In listening to a song. Two songs. Make sure your men's segment is really long, because I need to think of one for me. Perfect. Girl, I can talk. Okay, okay, okay. I'm gonna start it. Okay, we're live in three, two, one. Hey, what's up, you guys? And, well, I'm kidding. But, welcome back to College Girlies. And this week, we're talking about, like, social life and stuff in college. Um, but first, we have to do our I Hate Men segment. Our weekly segment on how much we hate men and why this week. And why. And boy, do I have a story for you. I hate men so much this week. And last week, too, because it happened last week as well. But when I tell you, we were in a group project. We're starting a brand new group project in one of my communication classes. And within, like, you know, like, she splits us off into her pre-made groups and everything. And low-key, I have beef with this teacher for putting us into these pre-made groups. Because I know, I know that she took me and one of the other people in this group and we're like, they'll carry the team. They're responsible. We can't, we can't have. No, because I, like, looking at the groups that she made, I'm like, I even split up responsible and not responsible. I'm like, she didn't want any one team to be too packed and the other, everyone else like, like sucks or whatever. Distributing the wealth. She fully said distribute the wealth. And so I'm like, girl, come on now. And like, so it's me, two girls and two dudes. And first of all, one of the dudes have the same name. Ew. Yeah. I don't want to, I don't want to drop names, but like, they both have the same name, which I'm like, okay. But anyway, one of them just kind of creeps me out. I had to think about how much I want to say this to the public, but I'm also like, who is the public? But anyway, like, he kind of just creeps me out. Cause he does not blink. I've had full, like 10 minute conversations with man, this man, and I've never seen him blink. Like a lizard or something. And also his eyes are always bloodshot. Like, I think. Is he one of those people that has like scary blue eyes? No, I don't think so. I think they're just brown. Have you seen those like TikToks? I know girl, I know. As someone with blue eyes, I know the reputation, but you know, I think he just has like brown eyes, but they're just always bloodshot. And like, I don't know what this man's hobbies are. I'm sure. We don't judge, just do your work. No judge. And like, he's like, he's fine. Like, he's like. Craziness, bloodshot, and like non-blinking aside, he's fine. Like he's literally fine. Like the blinkiness, I'm just like, I just feel like stared through, you know? But I'm like, that's fine. Like I can deal with that. Like, who cares? Like you can't control the rate of your blinkiness, you know? I guess you can girl. Like you can, but like, if you're just living your life, I can't, I can't focus on, it's been 20 seconds, let me blink again. You know, like I got other things going on in my brain. Like my body just does that, you know? Okay, fair enough, fair enough. So it's like, I'm not expecting him to put extra effort into blinking more often when I'm in the surrounding area. Well, have you asked him? No. Like, cause that's deranged behavior, but yeah. So anyway, so I'm like, okay. Like, that's like fine. Like he kind of creeps me out, but now that we've like talked more and just interacted more because of the group, I'm like, okay, whatever. Joe Schmoe, who cares? Live life, love, whatever. Right. But the other guy, I, me and him have beef. We have real issues. Um, I, I, I hate this guy. Literally, like we were talking about when we could meet as a group and he wouldn't, he wouldn't, he did not want to meet on the day that everyone else could meet because he didn't want to do work. He didn't have another reason. He didn't have like a time conflict or anything. He didn't want to do work. He like, he just wanted to relax. And that was it. And I was like, we all like, I'm like, dude, lie, make something up. Tell us that you go parachuting that day. Like, I don't know, man, like, but yeah, I was just like, dude. And like, he, like, he had such an issue with that and got up in the middle of class and stormed out. I was like, dude, I imagine not having like control over your emotions to the point where you need to storm out of the classroom over like a disagreement. I know. Yeah. I'm like worst case scenario. Just be like, okay, well you guys are going to have to meet without me because I won't make it. Like, cause we'd still be like, dude, what? But like, you're not storming out. Like making a scene. I was shocked. Men are so emotional. I was so, I was shocked. I was like, this is insane. And then later he got in an argument, like on a different day, he got in an argument with our guest speaker about on a subject that obviously she knew a lot about. It's her full-time job. Right. And he would, would cut her off and be like, no, you're lying. Like, that's not the definition. He was like, you're making stuff up. I was like this man. That's deranged. I was like, dude, like get it together, man. Like have some self-control. Why are you arguing with a guest speaker? You think in his brain, like he was expecting people to like, clap and like, rally around him. He's fully like, all those, um, do you see those videos of like people who think that they're the main character and want to have some sort of like insane, crazy moment? And like, they're just like, everyone's like, everyone's like, and everyone claps. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And everyone clap. I saw one of a dude who was like, he was in like high school or something and he was standing on a desk, um, without a shirt on with like Sharpie written on his chest, drinking out of a tequila bottle and in like high school, like this was a high school classroom. And he was talking to the teacher who was just sitting at her desk. Like what? Because I'm like, what is she supposed to do? Like, you know? And so literally, and he was like yelling and he was like, do you want some tequila? This is 100% tequila. Do you want tequila? Do you, do you like that? I'm drinking tequila. And then he was like, whatever, like jumping and shouting. And then he like got off the desk and like walked out of the room and he was like, and she, cause she was fully, she was just like, can you please get off the desk? It's kind of like a safety hazard. And I'm like, honestly, honestly, girl boss, girl boss, because like, I'm sure she had already called the principal or something. Like they were on their way. And like, what's she going to be like? Oh, that's not allowed. Like, he knows that. Like, like what is she going to say? Like yell at him? Obviously that will do nothing to him. It's just going to give him more power. Yeah. Like it, he, it just gives him someone to antagonize. Right. So, so literally she's like, okay. Yeah. Okay. Just like slay I guess. Literally. Have fun getting expelled. I'm like, dude. And then he like walked out in the hallway and like, like it was a, like a girl, like filming it on her phone or something in class. She turned over to her friend and her friend was like rolling her eyes. I was like, I know that like this school is probably going to talk about this for like three days and then nobody's going to care. They're just going to be like, I hated that guy. Right. Or it's just like, this is just like how he is. Yeah. Like just another day. Literally. Oh, Jeff. Literally. I'm like trying to think of people in, from my grade who we were just like, Oh, Jeff. I definitely, I have some ideas. We can't, we can't talk about that here. Unfortunately, this is not that kind of podcast. Yeah. But anyway, so that's why I hate men this week. This man, I like, like just get your stuff together, man. And I just want to throw this one out here. He's an aspiring rapper. Just want to put that one out there just for context. It'll get, it'll let you understand the full story better. It's relevant somehow in some way. I feel like it just gives context. Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah. But anyway, so that's why I hate men this week. Do you have a reason you hate men this week? Yes. I thought of one actually for once in my life. Okay. So I swear every time you carry the team on this one and then I have to be thinking, no, I don't. I always forget too. Oh my God. It's fine. I feel like we do this like that. And then we just forget like every single week we forget. I need to keep like a notebook and write it down whenever something happens. This podcast is the reason I'm going to start journaling. So that we have things to talk about in the podcast. Literally. But, um, anyways, I was studying for one of my exams in the union building. Um, like either this week or last week, whenever we do a podcast. Where do you study in the union, by the way, do you go to the basement? I go to the basement and the weird like side room that kind of looks like a tavern. Oh, I've always wanted to go to that room. Do they have like bigger tables? Um, are they like, they're not bigger tables, but I feel like the vibe is just better. Cause it doesn't feel like you're in like a hospital cafeteria, like that one area. I'm like, it's just, I don't know. It feels like you're in jail or something. I fully like the only times that I'm studying down there, I'm like, I have to be like in zone locked in for me to not look around and be like, dude, what is this place? Weird little side room. Like the cafeteria is where it's at because I forget about it. Yeah. You know, like I've had friends be like, there's a room there. I'm like, yes. And it's better. It's better because it's like, not like, it doesn't look sterile. Like the other places, like, or just like, I don't know. It's just, it's more like homey. I feel like the light was kind of like dim and like, it's like moody. And then like, it's like more private. So cause like another issue is like, I like people watch and get off track, but it's like, because it's more private, you won't. Yeah. But anyway, keep going with your story. Oh yeah. I was talking about the home, the homeliness of the room. But anyways, I was actually studying with DJ Nova. In the basement of the union, because we both had a lot of work to do. And like, I just find that it's, I do work faster when I'm like with somebody else with also doing work. I'm like, Oh, I got to do something. Yeah. Yeah. And like, it was really late. It was like, well, not really. It's like 11 or 12. And apparently the union building closes at 10. I didn't know this. Oh, I thought it was midnight. No, it closes at 10. It was like the weekend or something. So maybe that's why, but maybe. Yeah. And we had just finished up. It was probably like around midnight and we were like getting up to leave and like packing up our stuff and going and stuff. And then the security guy, the security guard man comes out at like around the corner and he's like, Oh, what are you doing here? We've been closed for two hours. How'd you get in here? I'm like, girl, the front door. Like, just because you didn't do a good enough. Like we've been here since 4pm, babe. I mean, like, just because you didn't find us in time to kick us out. I don't know. I'm like, yeah. What am I supposed to say? Like, Oh, I broke in through a window. No, it was your door. Like, what do you mean? Especially because there's so many entrances to that building. And like, I swear I've come, I've gone into fully like the front doors one time. I don't know. I'm sure it was like around like 11 or something. Just like to like run to the bathroom or something before I caught it, like caught a bus. Like, I swear I've been in there after 10. But no, yeah, me and like DJ Nova were just like there. And we were like, actually like leaving. Yeah, like you're on your way out at that point. He was like, Oh, well, nobody's supposed to be in here. And I'm like, Okay, well, also, like the janitors were like all around us. Like, that's not my job. Literally, like, there were like, four or five different going in and out of the room, like cleaning up the garbage cans. And I'm like, so did they just like not don't care? They didn't think they'd tell you or tell us to leave or what? I'm like, so it's not like we were sneaking around and hiding. Yeah, like, it's not like you're like stealing stuff. You're not like we're messing around. I'm doing thermodynamics. What do you mean? Literally, literally. And anyways, we were like, Oh, yeah, sorry about that. We were actually just leaving. And he's like, I'll escort you out. I'm like, what? Like you think we're gonna like leave and then go hide again? Like, you think we're gonna stay in the building just go on a little field trip? What do you escort us out? It was so I was so angry. I was trying not to like punch this old man. And get this as we were like being escorted out by the security guard or whatever. There were more people upstairs. And he didn't care. He didn't care. He didn't say anything to those people. There's like a girl like standing in the doorway. You know how there's like those front doors that they have a little like, yeah, she was like in there. Just like hanging out, I guess. And like he walked us up to the door. So I know he probably saw her and he didn't say anything. I'm like, what's wrong with us studying in the basement of the Union? Yeah. It was so embarrassing. I'm like, I don't know. It felt like this guy was on a power trip. Because why did he care that much? Yeah. Like, like, if I was a security guard, like, I understand the first half is probably his job, you know, he has to be like, Oh, guys, like, you're actually not supposed to be here. Like, can you leave? Like, that's normal or whatever. But like, most I would do is like half carry the conversation until I can see you guys like going towards the doors. And then I'm like, Okay, right. Like, I followed this one through. And like, just the fact that the way that he was talking to us made it seem like he thought we were like, up to no good. If you're like mid putting stuff in your backpack, you're not up to no good, man. Like, especially I'm like, the threat is outside on Green Street. The threat is not people who are down working on homework until midnight. Like, I don't know. It was really bad. And I was really angry. But afterwards, I was like, we were walking back to where I parked my car, which was DJ Nova's dorm or whatever. And I was like, so angry. I was like, that that guy was such a jerk. And like, all this stuff. And I'm like, power trip. And he was like, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because she's so like, nonconference. I was like, I was gonna fight that guy. And she's like, Okay. You would have won for sure. Yeah. It was, it was an experience. That's why I hate men this week. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think a great job. Um, professionals. Our segment has gone on for 20 minutes. Um, yeah, that's all right. I had a lot to say. I had a lot. All right. That's all right. It's therapy. But anyway, this is a super duper cool transition to our favorite songs for the week. What's your favorite song for the week? Wait, girl, I forgot what I was gonna say. What's yours? Rubble to Rubble by Will Dorado. That sounds like a tongue twister. Yep, that's the one. Like, you know, no, girl, it showed up. You know how there's like the bridge guy that makes you do like riddles? Yeah, that's what it sounds like. Rubble to Rubble by Will Dorado. Or like a Harry Potter song. Why do we like this song this week? Um, I just started listening to it this week. I recently started a new era. So it's part of that transitionary period. Um, it's by an artist that I've been listening to a for a while at this point. Um, but like I had, I just hadn't listened to like this specific song. And I was like, okay, I'm gonna listen to this song. And I was like, but like I had I just hadn't listened to like this specific song off of their like album and whatever. Um, but I don't know. I really like it. I like kind of the chantiness to it. I like the like the lyrics and then the music is good too. Generally good stuff going on. All right. In this song. We got it. We got it. Y'all focus you heard it here first. This is Rubble to Rubble by Will Dorado. Live, laugh, love. Well, I must say you're in trouble. You're working with the thirds and thirds working as a double. I have never stitched up my own. But I'm on my way. You know, I'll be a doctor one day. If my father could accept that I'd pay. Mmm, I'm on my way. Now she's down the street, sitting in sunshine, probably smoking weed and sipping on box wine. She owes me, but she calls me by different names. Now she's by the fire hanging cold stockings and letting baby Jesus do most of the talking. There's a beauty in the silence that I chalk up to Christmastime. Well, I'm on my way. Got me a wife, she calls me her babe. If she's on the note, says that I'd pay, says that my day. Mmm, I'm on my way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Get me on the boat, I'm ready to be on it Get me on the boat, I'm ready to be on On my way Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, on my way Ah, ah, ah! Anyway, that's Rubble to Rubble by Will Dorado. Um, great song. I like the chantiness of it there at the end. At the beginning, when it was all kind of like singing and stuff, and we turned off the microphones, I turned to giggles, and I'm like, me trying to figure out what era you're in, in my underwater era. Like, that was so funny. No, because it, like, it was kind of, like, fuzzy there at the beginning, but then it got good. Well, okay, not that it wasn't a good song from the beginning, but, you know, it just got... Underwater. It was underwater, and then it transitioned to above water. Wait, but how is this your era? This is just a new era for me, you know? Um, but I woke up one day and I was like, I can't keep living like this, let's change a few things around. And then this is just a song that I listened to within my new era. Okay. You never, you don't move on to new eras? I move on to new eras, but usually, like, when I change my music, it's like there's a reason for it. Like, it's kind of more of the same type of thing for me. It's like, I'm, like, I'm refocusing. You know? No. I can't put it into words. It's okay. It's a deep philosophical understanding of, you know, transformational, transphysical, transparent, uh, big, big words. La la la. Why is my song not popping up? Why? Where is it? Hello? Spotify? Spotify. Spotify. Spotify. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for our Spotify rap. That's December 1st. Aren't you excited? Oh, wait, really? Yeah. Wait, I'm kind of hyped. Where is the song? Ah! Ah! I see it right there. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. What? Folks, I'm trying to play Too Cool For This by Yasmin Nur. Girl. Sorry. Okay, there it is. You found it! I found it. Folks, this is Too Cool For This by Yasmin Nur. I think that's how you say her name. I picked it because it's fun to scream in my car. Oh, those are the best of songs. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay. That's not part of it. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
