We are at Sydney and Agores, students in EDN 414, Integrating the Arts in the Elementary Curriculum and EDN 303, Instructional Technology. Today we will talk about Enriching Lesson Plans, Benefits and Overcoming Challenges. This is the first episode. In this episode, I will explain art integration and technology integration. In addition, I will name some resources that can be used to introduce art and technology in the classroom. Some of the standards that I will talk about are create art using a variety of 2D and 3D media, including digital, create art in different media using various techniques and processes, and set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness. So, what is art integration? It is the process of interviewing art and core concepts together. The students display their understanding through the form of an art. And what is technology integration? Technology integration describes how different facets of organizational, educational and learning processes can use technological tools and resources. And how do we apply it within the classroom? For art, we can use Jumpboard, Adobe Story Jumper that incorporates the storytelling with technology. We also have music, drama, storytelling and art. For technology, we have Canva, Adobe, the art tools for being creative, Google Slides or Prezi for presentations and Padlet to create virtual boards and share concepts. In art, students use a variety of different styles of art when expressing their understanding of concepts. Whereas in technology, students use technology to have instant access to information, to communicate with others and to create things in different applications. In conclusion, in this episode, the key concepts of art and technology integration have been defined and explained to the audience. I hope the resources given are useful for our listeners.
