The Black Squirrel Chapter podcast is back again on the night of October 9th, 2023. Let's get into it. So if you weren't here tonight, you may be wondering what the heck happened. Well, I'll tell you. Tonight was the third meeting back for the Black Squirrel Chapter of NRHH. It was fun seeing all the new friends that everyone brought and everyone repping their favorite sports team, go Dolphins. Today was a rather short meeting with not a whole lot of information, but that doesn't mean the info wasn't important. Director for Recruitment application closes on the 16th, so make sure to apply or nominate someone today. There's a very important Google form to fill out in the email that needs to be filled out by Friday, October 13th. Ooh, spooky. And lastly, remember to meet your expectations. You only have to meet three of the five, so make sure to check with an eboard member to see how you're doing. And finally, to wrap up the meeting, Sophia wins best dressed with a combo of three different sports in her outfit today. She's unstoppable. But with all that said and done, let's get right into the minutes. President Ryan McGinnis called to order the meeting at 7 p.m. The main thing he wanted everyone to know about was the Director of Recruitment application that is due on October 16th. Make sure to apply or nominate anyone you want to see in that position today. The Director of Business Operations, Zach Mason, that's me, came in next to say that he is still looking for some fundraising opportunities and I'm still taking ideas and suggestions from everyone. So please email me, DM me on GroupMe, whatever you need to do to get your idea out there because I may just use it. And I also wanted to remind everybody about the GenBody bonding. And once again, be on the lookout for the survey about availability and times and any accommodations you might need in the link included in the email. Up next, we have Vice President of Recognition, Emma Schweitzer, reminding everyone that cold weather is coming, so make sure to bundle up. She also wants to remind everyone that OTMs can be submitted to fill out one of your three expectations that you need, so make sure to be on the lookout. And if you have any questions about that, just let her know. After that, we have Vice President of Service, Sophia Spalla, coming at you with some service opportunities available this week. Just to name a few, we have quilt making on October 11th at 9 a.m., food recovery October 12th at 9 p.m., and can't forget about spooky season, Halloween in the Park, October 14th at 12 p.m. Be there or be square. This just in folks, it is October, which means it is sextober. During October, KIC, our sister organization, likes to host a little event called Sex Week. Be sure to be on the lookout for any flyers with information regarding any events that might be happening, such as the hoedown or the do-it-in-the-dark event. Be on the lookout. Now back to our regularly scheduled program. Director of Public Relations, Mackenzie Miller, comes in next, reminding everyone when sharing posts on Instagram, please make sure you tag Kent State underscore NRHH. This way they can see that you've shared the post, or if you're an old fart or technically illogical like me, and don't know how to do that, you can also just message them and let them know that you shared the post as well. And just as a reminder, you are earning activity points and meeting expectations whenever you do this. Woo. And to wrap it all up, Director of External Relations, Josh Outman, reminds us the concur and occur NRHH committee applications have closed. If you are still interested, please reach out to Josh though. One activity point to be in the committee. Regional educational programs are on the rise. We have a crash course of RLC on October 15th at 6 p.m. You get one activity point to attend. Zoom code can be found in the minutes. And the NRHH National Board of Directors quarterly meeting is on October 15th at 4 30 p.m. Registration is required, and that is due by Saturday, October 14th. You also get one activity point to attend that, and the link is found in the minutes.
