When the motif of the first eight bars flashed upon me, the outline of the piece was almost complete. I intentionally incorporated tension notes in the harmonies between the first and second violins following the introduction, but it may not have worked. The arrangement in the second half, using open harmonies and countermelodies, went well unexpectedly, I think. I am not satisfied with the ending, which lacks harmonic development, but I think it is a kind of expected for my current ability.
