The transcription is a conversation between Nate and Shelby about the concept of conviction and how it relates to making mistakes and being corrected. They discuss how little corrections can happen every day and how important it is to listen to the convictions and corrections in order to avoid bigger problems in the future. They also talk about how God fights battles for us that we are unaware of and how sometimes what may seem like an inconvenience or setback is actually God's way of protecting us. Shelby shares personal examples of being convicted and the inner struggle between her spirit and natural self. They conclude that it is important to let God direct our paths and not let our egos or flesh win. the girl out. Hey! Now we're on play. Okay. Moving now. Where's the fairy dust button? I love it. Yo! We thought that, well, no, I never make mistakes, or I never do anything wrong. Right. And so how can I be, or how can I feel any type of conviction for anything if I'm never wrong? Well, and I think that the longer a person goes without being corrected, the harder and the deeper that correction is going to affect them in a manner that's not positive. Because their world gets rocked. Because the correction's going to have to be so big to rock their world, that their world is literally going to get rocked. And then they're like, I think they point the finger at everybody else about, well, I've never been wrong this whole time, so y'all are the ones that are effed up. You know what I mean? Come on. Because if we, you know, little corrections can happen every day. And they're not devastating. But when you haven't had the little corrections along the way, and then all of a sudden life catches up to you and you get a big old smack upside your face, I think it can really damage people. Because they've never experienced it in the past, and so all of a sudden it's like the rug is ripped out from under them. Do me a favor, Shelby. Can you explain what little corrections are? Well, there's all kinds. I mean, when you're raising a baby and let's say they keep throwing their food off the high chair. You know, every little baby does that. That's part of their thing. But if you continue to let them do that, they're going to be six years old and they're throwing their food. Gotcha. If you redirect, if you say, you know, we don't do that, you know, there's all kinds of different corrections. You know, if God sees you doing something and you're pursuing a path that's not good for you, and you get this, you know, maybe I shouldn't. If you don't answer that, maybe I shouldn't, and you keep pursuing it, then pretty soon you get a, yeah, I don't know if this is making me feel too good, but in some ways it's making me feel really good. Gotcha. And I'm just going to, you know, what's it going to hurt? And then you keep going, and the correction has to get bigger and bigger before you finally go, oh, crap, I, wow. That was, I just did that. And that was a, that, I shouldn't have done that. So then you're too far gone. Well, you're never too far gone if you're a believer, but. Preach! Never, ever, ever, never too far gone. But in the world we live in, yes, if you go too far down that path, they're going to condemn you and put you in the corner. And they will say that you can't come back from it. And they will say that you can't come back from it, because that's what the world tells you. I love the fact that people use that word, they, because they said, they, yeah, it's the world. It's the world's system. The world's designed to keep you in the place of condemnation. Oppressed, suppressed, depressed. You said something that was so good. That was so good. Why not want to correct that thing before it gets out of hand? That's conviction. I have, if I tell myself this, yeah, we got to be transparent, right? We got to be honest. You don't have an option. I'm sitting across the table from you. Don't make me come over the table. Exactly. So, I guess if I'm, if I'm being completely in my Shelby voice, if I'm being completely honest. There were times where I heard, I'm serious, I heard the Holy Spirit say, no, don't do that. And I was already there. Jump that line. Like I was already in the moment. I was already there. It was already, I don't want to give too much, but it's already about to happen. And I'm like, right at the moment. And I heard, don't do that. And so it's debatable at that moment. I'm telling on me. It's debatable at that moment. Should I or should not? But I'm right here. I mean, one time. It's okay. It's okay. You know, just this one time. And I'm not going to tell you exactly what I did, but I know that you can be convicted. I know that you can be convicted in that moment, especially if he's trying to protect you from something. Yeah. And that's the thing we don't know. We don't understand. You know, God fights battles for us every day that we have no idea about. We have no clue. Wow. You know, and we get pissed off about stuff like I'm stuck in traffic. Or I remember a trip I took with my daughter and her girlfriend. And we were driving home. And, you know, after you've been gone for so many days, you kind of just want to get home. And I think it was like a six- or seven-hour drive. We had just started out. And, of course, we're maybe an hour and a half in, and the girls have to go to the bathroom. And really? I'm going to have to pull over? I'm going to have to get off the freeway? So y'all can go to the bathroom when I told you to go to the bathroom when we were back there? No? Okay. So we pull over. And we'd been traveling together with the same group of cars for the whole hour and a half. I hope y'all weren't on the turnpike. No. Okay. So we get off. We do our thing, get back on. And as we're getting back on, traffic has stopped. And I'm like, then I'm really ticked, right? Because I'm like, we were cruising right along. We were doing just fine. Y'all had to go to the bathroom, didn't listen to me, all this stuff. So I get all haughty, pissy. And we literally get up, I don't know, 400 yards. And the crew of cars that we were with, three of them had crashed. Oh. Into each other. Now, if that doesn't humble you right there. Man, come on. Because I was getting all up in my feelings about, the girls didn't listen. I need to be home. I don't want to be in this car. I had to stop. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. No, that was God's provision right there. Yes. And I was seeing it as everything that was terrible. Yeah. Wow. Wow. So there are battles being fought for you all the time that you have no idea about. My goodness. And when you're in traffic, or when you're stuck somewhere, or when you can't get to where you need to go, or something's happening that's blocking what you need to do, consider the fact that maybe he's saving your ass from something. Come on. I said those bad words again. I need to drop the bomb type of button over here. That was good. How many of us... I know we don't look at it that way. I'm not going to even ask. Some of us don't look at it that way. I wasn't even looking at it that way. Until it literally hit me smack in the face. I didn't have any option to look at it any other way. Are you kidding me? Wow. That's amazing. That's... But, yeah. I don't know how I got off on that tangent from... I do. Because we... There are things that we want to do, and we're standing there, and we're convicted... We're actually in conflict with ourself and our other self. I want to say it's maybe a fight between your spirit man and your natural man. Or have you ever fought that fight? Oh, goodness. Are you kidding me? I preached a sermon about five... Probably longer. About six years ago. It was an actual series that I did at my church, and it was called The Fight of My Life. I presented... I put two chairs out, and I sat in one chair. Then I crossed over, and I sat in the other chair. I wanted to express to the people that the biggest fight that you have to fight, because the battle is won, the biggest fight that you have to fight is you. You're fighting you. I just heard somebody talk about that yesterday. And it's the biggest fight. It's the biggest. And it's the worst fight that you've got. Absolutely. And isn't that the truth, though? We get all up in our heads about stuff, and there's constant crap going on in our heads. All the time. We've got to make the decision on, am I going to do this? Should I say something? Should I act this way? And that's when conviction sets in, because sometimes you do want to say something. I've had some issues with exes that I want to say something, and I'm convicted every time I think the thought, because I want to say something, but God is like, what's that going to prove? You're trying to cause another situation. Yeah, I'm not good at that one either. Uh-oh. Help me. Because I'm out there. I'm going to help myself. Oh, yeah. I'm going to say something. Uh-huh. Yeah. But I am convicted. Yeah. The work that I do, there are times where my mind, I had a situation over the weekend, my mind wanted to go there as a human. But I was convicted immediately, and I had to handle the situation from a different perspective. I have those more often than normal, because it's hard. I mean, you want to do something, and you know... Well, and in your position in life, you see the worst in a lot of people because of what you do. Yeah? Yeah. It would be very hard to control my mouth and things if I were you. Yeah. I have a hard time controlling my mouth. Oh, Lord. Well, I have... Also, and I'm still telling on me, I have been convicted... In my singleness, I'm convicted a lot because there's a fight that I'm fighting within myself. Is that the little left thing? I'm going to come off the mic. Well, there are things that present itself in a natural form, and it's pleasing to the eye, and it causes me to have conversations with myself. Your spirit man and your natural man in there duking it out. I'm talking about they are punching each other in the face. Throat punching each other into next week. All of it. And I thank God for conviction because after the fight, my conviction, based upon that thing that I was struggling with, it doesn't... I don't do the thing that I wish... It wins. Yeah. Yeah, your conviction wins. Thank you. Because I do have a fear of God, and I do believe that, and you just said it earlier, that God is... He used pre-visioned things to protect us from the thing that can hurt us in the long run. Well, and God sees all. We don't see. We can't see. We can't see what's in front of us. Half the time, we can't see what's coming in the next day. We can't see what's coming in the next week. Ten years from now, He knows all that stuff. Yeah. And so we have to let Him direct our paths because He sees the battles coming. And we don't all the time. And we put ourselves in predicaments that create battles, too. Ooh. Ooh. Now, don't ask me to go into that. Except for the way you're looking at me. I would. I really would. Share. Share. Yeah. I really would. Well, I mean, okay, give an example. How do we put ourselves in predicaments? Our egos. Just like you said, if we don't listen to the conviction going on in our head and we step out of that, it can create battles. Huge. Yeah. Sometimes even physical ones. Mmm. Because our egos win. That's good. Our flesh man wins. That's good. And I'm guilty of it. I'm not saying I'm not. You're guilty of? Didn't I just say I don't hold my tongue very well? So you, like, you know, you get angry. Like, Shelby gets angry. Shelby is very angry. Oh, my God. Shelby has lioness within her. Amen. Rawr. So, is Shelby convicted? A lot? Yeah. A lot? I don't know about a lot, but yeah. More than normal? Well, I don't know what's normal. I can only speak to myself. So, if normal would be, like, say, okay, if I'm using myself, I'm only convicted, this is a lie, I'm only convicted one time a day. That's a lie, I'm saying, but if I was convicted one time a day, you know, are you convicted more than one? I don't know. I've never really thought about it. Huh. Because I'm convicted, I mean, probably a hundred, two. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. Probably a hundred, two. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I'm sure David is. I mean, I've always been the good little kid, you know, whatever. And then even in my adult life, I still try not to screw up as much as I can. But when I do screw up, then it's like, well, I suck at that and I suck at this and I'm terrible at this. And I mean, I just, I spiral into that, or used to, I don't know that I do it that much anymore. But yeah. Wow. So yeah, the condemnation place is a, it's not good. But it's not biblical. We're not supposed to be there. It gets dark too down there too. That's why I would rather be convicted, get it over with, messed up, my bad, got to keep going. But that's what God's grace gives us is the ability to do that. We don't have to wallow in the condemnation. The condemnation comes from the enemy and it comes from our own intrusive voices. And that's not something that we need to listen to. And that's why when you started this off and you said, man, I'm glad that I am convicted. I'm glad that conviction sets in with me because some people, I believe that they don't know the difference. Well, and I think some people get to that place where they think they've done something so wrong that the penance is that they have to stay in that place, that they have to be in that, that yuck. You know, they have to wallow in that mire of condemnation and that's not truth at all. No, but it's like our guilt wants to keep us there. And like I said, it's a penance. We think we have to pay. Absolutely. So we want to stay there. It's good that we think we have to pay. Oh, that's a powerful statement. Oh, the price is already paid. Well, and that's what God's grace is. Thank you, Lord. If God knew that we were going to be these perfect people, why would he send Jesus? There's no reason. And that's something that I do want to talk about because that's been on my heart last couple of days and I was supposed to do a TikTok on it and I didn't feel it, not feeling it. But don't think you have to be perfect to go to God. Don't think that you have to be perfect to ask Jesus into your heart because that's the whole story backwards. And he died so that you were accepted the way you are. Flaws and everything, ugliness, brokenness, dirty, filthy rags. That's the whole point. And he will perfect you day by day. And he wants to love you out of your hurt. He wants to love you into your healing. He wants to love you out of your predicament, whatever you've created, whatever you've allowed to happen in your life, he can fix it all. But don't think that you have to be perfect to go to him because you do not. Don't let the enemy create that story in your head. He's just trying to distance you from him and not allow you to get there. And he's condemning you the whole way. So tell him to shut up. Peace out, Brussels Sprout. Go back to the pit where you belong in the name of Jesus. That's it. I have nothing else. Boom. You feel that right there. I mean, that summed up everything, ladies and gentlemen. That summed it up. From the mouth of Shelby. No. That summed it up. Period. Peace out. No. Brussels Sprout. Peace out, Brussels Sprout. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. Peace out. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, and everybody, I think we all, well, I shouldn't say we all, I think we struggle with thinking or knowing whether we hear from God or not. And when I say hearing from God, it's the Holy Spirit. Some people hear audibly, you know, like you said, you heard him say, don't do that. I don't. I think I have on occasion, but that's not usually how it works. I just hear, it's not even, it's my own voice, it really is my own voice. But it resonates within my spirit. And if I'm really paying attention, I know exactly where it's coming from. But I've only learned that in the last couple of years, and I'm 50 frickin' years old. And I know that when life started out, I knew that voice when I was young. But as the world came in, and things changed, and I got involved with the world, I started doubting that voice. And I just thought, well, that's just me. And then I didn't listen to it, because I didn't believe in myself. And now I've learned that that's not just me. That is the Holy Spirit? Yeah. It doesn't mean that everybody hears him that way. Right. And people do. You're right. People do have different ways of hearing the Holy Spirit when it speaks. I've heard a lot of people say, it definitely is your voice. I don't even know if I recognized the voice when I heard it say no. All I heard was no. Could have been yours, mine. I knew it was no. And I knew I wasn't supposed to do that thing that I was trying to do. The Bible gives an account where God does speak in a small, still voice. And that small, still voice, because it's still, it can match your tone, and it can be your voice. Because it's a still voice. And the enemy shouts. Preach! So you've got to pay attention to the voice you're listening to, because the enemy gets loud and he shouts. God doesn't need to do that. So pay attention to that, too. That's good. That's good. The enemy's screaming and hollering and saying, you wrong, you didn't do this, oh my God. That's so good. Do you know how people are going to look at you? Do you know what they're going to say about you? That's good. That's what the enemy says. Oh, yeah. And, you know, I want to kind of readdress, because I've said this in the past, but conviction is not the same. Your convictions, Nate, are not going to be the same as my convictions. Because you're not in the same place in life as I am. You are not the same creation as I am, and your knowledge and my knowledge is not going to be the same. The Holy Spirit works on us individually, so you cannot, that's called judgment. When you're condemning people because you were convicted of something, and maybe they weren't. That's where it all stems from. I'm hearing the word comparison. I can't compare what I'm convicted of to your convictions, because I don't know. No. I mean, the word is conviction, but you have different convictions than I do. And everybody does. But I think, and thank you for bringing it out, we compare our convictions. And I think religious spirits want us to do that, because it's the holier-than-thou principle. That's what keeps us divided. Yes. Absolutely. Because we're fighting now against each other. Right. When we're supposed to be loving on each other. Regardless of what's broken, what's ugly, what's beautiful. All that stuff. God, Shelby, that's real good. He has used that particular tool against the body of Christ. Yep. It works really well, obviously. Apparently. Apparently. Yeah. Wow, that's true. Yeah. But just be careful that you don't project your convictions onto other people. Just love people where they're at. And sometimes that's not easy to do, but that's what we're called to do. So let's do it. Or at least try. You know how powerful it is, especially in a marriage. Yeah. Like you are preaching right now. We compare convictions with our spouses, our children, people we go to church with, people we work with. Everybody. We compare them all the time. That is probably one of the most powerful statements I've heard. Because that kind of comparison, we think that it's supposed to be the same. Right. You're not going to charge a shoplifter and a murderer the same way. You're just not. You should, because the sin is the same. The sin is the same. It's a sin. It is a sin. The level of what this person did and that person did is not the same. Sin is sin. Yes, but the world's law is different. The world's law is completely different. Right. The power in which you said about that conviction, where I'm using my convictions and comparing them to your convictions, has freed me, right at this moment has freed me from a lot of stuff that I've tried to compare. Even to, I don't need to call my ex and say, hey, you know what, I'm sorry about that, but I compared. Yeah, we all do. Oh, I did. You're not any different. I did. That's the human condition. I can. And I know there's people that are going to say, well, if you don't point out that they're doing something wrong, then you're not. You're just letting them do whatever. You're just letting them say that they can live in God's grace, do whatever they want. That's not what I'm saying. No, that's not what I'm hearing. Well, no, but I just, there's going to, I know there's those spirits out there that are going to say that and God's grace is sufficient. Absolutely. The word says God's grace is sufficient. And I just think that it's not a, it's not a hall path. God's grace is not a hall path. If you're truly a believer, you're not going to be able to go against what God wants in your life. Like, you're not going to want to go thin because he changes your heart. That's the whole process. That's the whole thing. That's the whole sanctification. And it's okay that we're not all on the same page at the same time. Right. It doesn't mean that we get to point out the flaws in everybody else and not look at our own. My dad used to say when you're pointing your finger at everybody else, there's three fingers pointing back at you. And that's facts. That's true. Yeah. So, I just, we got to be careful with that. Yes. It's not giving a hall path by saying everyone's convictions are different. It's just stating facts. It is. Let the Holy Spirit deal with people. You don't need to deal with people. You don't need to be their corrector. Now, if they're your children, that's different. Of course. Of course. Yeah, I think we have failed short in that area. We start comparing. We start viewing people different based upon whatever or even yourself. And, yeah, that can become a problem. And that has caused division. Yeah, and I also want to say that that doesn't mean you stand back and watch people do stuff that's wrong. No. Never. No, there's righteous judgment. Yes. But some of the stuff, I mean, you should have to give disclaimers of what you're saying. Because, I mean, well, my mom told me common sense sometimes don't make sense to people. It ain't that common. Because it ain't that common, right? So, I get it. Like, I feel like you shouldn't have to go back and say, I'm not saying this, and you have to give a disclaimer about, you know, what you're saying. I think that should be point blank. Well, nowadays, it seems like you've got to give a disclaimer about everything. But why, though? Like, it's point blank. Because everyone's allowed to do what they want to do, and we're in an individualistic society where we get to do whatever the damn well makes our feelings happy. Whatever satisfies us. I mean, she's right. The Word says you're supposed to put others ahead of yourself. Period. We don't do that anymore. It's all about me. Yes. It's not about the great I am. It's about the I. Yeah. We replaced God and put ourselves. Oh, we are God. Yeah. Uh-huh. That's what we think. It's all about me. Huh. Lord. And we should stand convicted in that. Oh, yeah. When do you take responsibility of knowing that you've messed up and you need to be corrected? Like, when do we take that responsibility and accept it? Some people don't. Why? Because we are so disconnected. How can you learn and become greater if you never acknowledge that you messed up or you made a mistake or you... But it goes back to what we're talking about. If you've never been corrected, wouldn't you say if you've never been corrected, you have a Savior complex? Because you know everything. Right. You're good at everything. You don't need anybody. They're not going to help you. They're not going to tell you anything you don't already know. So you're basically saying you're God. And then no one can tell you anything otherwise. Because you're not going to listen. Unless the big guy gets involved, cracks open your heart and gets in there. Yes. Hardheartedness is a problem. Yeah. The Word talks about that, too. Yes. Big time. Yeah. It's a big deal. Huge. Yeah. Because when you're hardhearted, you don't give a crap about anybody else. Not even yourself. True. You're selfish. But you can care less about yourself. That's what makes you selfish. Wow. This is some good stuff. This is some good stuff. And this is all wrapped around conviction. I didn't know that I can be that prideful that I don't want to receive correction. Oh, yes you can. Pride is... I mean, we've seen an example of it. Yeah. In the last two days in the same person. Yeah. Pride's dangerous. It's really... It is. It's very dangerous. You know, the Bible says that that's one of the seven things that God hates. Mm-hmm. Hate. Mm-hmm. Yeah, pride is very dangerous. I think the scripture that everybody quotes... It's scripture. It's not just a cliche, but it does come before a fall. Mm-hmm. And that's that shame fall. Not a shame, a shame fall. It comes before a major, major fall. The haughty spirit. Yeah. It's not good. Not at all. How can you be corrected if you're haughty? Well, if you're not humble, you're surely not hearing from God. Because there's no room for Him. Yep. You're full of yourself. And if you're filled to the brim with yourself, then there's not a lot of room for Him. That's so good. Yeah, that analogy has stood the test of time. You get a cup and you pour just regular water in the cup, and you want to pour something else in the cup, but it's already too full. If it's already full, you can't put anything in there. Mm-mm. There's some things that some of us as believers need to get rid of so that God can pour more. Make room. We've got to make room for Him. Not for more of you. And if you ask Him what those things are because you're not sure, He'll tell you. Absolutely. Or He'll remove them for you. But we do have to take some onus on things. Yes. Yes. Own it. Take responsibility. Be accountable. It says a lot about who you are and whose you are. Accountability goes a long way. The whose you are is the most important thing. Yeah, buddy. Yeah, buddy. You know, what is that phrase? It talks about, oh, there's a cliche that I heard as a kid. Don't take my kindness as weakness. I heard that growing up. Don't kick your teeth in. Whoops, did I just say that? That part was yummy. I'll throw a punch into next week. Yeah, that was the rest of it for her. So when I looked, I dissected the word kindness. And I broke it all the way down to its least common denominator. And the root word of it is kin. Now, kin or kindred or kinfolk are people that are kin to you. It doesn't have anything to do with your bloodline. Kindred people are people that are connected to you by way of your spirit, not your bloodline. Kindred spirit. It's a kindred spirit. Your bloodline can be completely different from you. Anybody got to say amen right there. I'm with it. Amen. Your bloodline can, their spirit can be completely the opposite of yours. So when you look at kindred or kin spirit, those are the people that share some of the same thoughts or believe some of the same things that you believe. And it's hard to not want to attract those people. That's why I believe that me and you were destined to meet each other because our spirit. We're no kin to each other by way of blood. Genealogy. Right. But our kindred spirit drew from different sides of the world to place us in one place and to have us here today. Right. Divine appointment. Divine appointment. But if I wasn't, and I'll use me, if I was that rebellious guy, if I didn't want to receive correction, if I didn't acknowledge that I'm convicted or if I were to stay condemned, can I say that one? If I were to stay condemned, I wouldn't be here. Yeah. So conviction blesses us too. Yeah, absolutely. For major blessings. Right. The whole point of conviction is to change the trajectory of where you're going. Amen. You know, conviction comes in because you're taking little steps away from the big guy and all it's trying to do is redirect you. Simple. Back to him. Sounds simple. Kind of like repentance. Oh, they don't. To turn away. Don't use that word no more. It's not penance, it's repentance. There's a difference. Big difference. Wow. Wow. Conviction was never designed to keep you at a bad place and make you feel bad about yourself. No, it's not about God keeping his thumb on you at all. I think man made us believe that. Can I be honest? Well, I think it's still believed by many people that God's a bad guy, like he's going to zap you. Wow. God doesn't zap. I mean, I guess he can, but he loves. Yeah. Yeah. And he loves hard. Yeah. And he will smack you upside your head if he's thinking you're in that much danger and you're not paying attention. Scripture says, he loved those who he chastised. Yeah. Or he chastised those he loved. It's just like raising a kid. I'm going to love you enough to tell you what's right from what's wrong. Yeah, and stop it. Don't do that. Yeah, I'm going to thump you on your head. Because I love you. Great. Not to have you to walk down that path and literally destroy your life. Yeah, it's going to hurt you so bad. You have no clue. I can see the whole picture. I know what's going to happen. Just trust me. That's a big word. Yeah, don't get me started on that one. Okay. That's a whole other podcast or two. There's a time right there. That is true. Yeah. We'll touch trust real soon. And we put so much humanness on God. Like we think that he thinks like we do. We think that he reacts like we do. We think that he loves like we do. We think all these things about him that he hates like we do. You know? And that's not true. That he can't forgive because we don't forgive. We put all these man-made parameters on him. He is nothing like that. At all. No. We can't even fathom him. Like we can get a glimpse. We can get an idea. But we can't even fully wrap our heads around him. Ooh, that's good. So don't put man-made junk on the creator of man. She used the word junk. Yes. Stop dumping that junk on him like he's like us. He's not us. Mm-mm. The Bible tells us that he's not us. Mm-mm. You know, act like us. You know, think like us. Like we get pissed off. And his emotions are pure. You know, like I talked about that study the other day. I never considered God's emotions being any different. Mm-mm. But his are pure because he's sinless. Sinless. Yeah. So there's, his emotions are not tainted by anything. Not one thing. I was there. Oh, hell yeah. Oh, yeah. Big time. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Wow. Thank you. She'll be, we were talking earlier off mic and she brought up this word conviction. Thank you. Yeah, because of my own self. And that's a good part about it. How can we help people if we're not willing to sit in that place of being helped ourselves? I can't say, me being just this perfect person, oh, well, this is how it feels to blah, blah. I remember I did a, we were at Morgan County facilities, there's a prison. And there's a bunch of guys talking about their addictions to drugs and stuff like that. I expressed to them, I can't relate. I can't relate to that because I've never done it. So I can't tell you how it feels to be high. I can't tell you how I feel to be this or that. That you've never been addicted to anything? That's where I went with that. Oh, okay. I said, but I can tell you about addiction. Because they were asking me, it felt like, you know, when I took that hit of this and when I took that hit, I can't relate to that. But I can tell you what it feels to be addicted to something. And that's the difference. We want to be able to help others with our convictions. How can I help someone if I'm never convicted? Yeah. I struggled in areas that wasn't pleasing to God and I was convicted in those areas. Now I can help someone. Right. Because of that. Right. And when we were talking before this started, the reason conviction came up was because it was a realization that there's, that is why I can't be a certain way. I can't do what most other people do. Right. Because I've just now realized it's a conviction within me. Obviously those other people don't have the same conviction. I'm sitting here looking at myself like, what the hell is wrong with me? Like, I can't go do that. Right. Why can't I go do that? I would like to go do that. Right. It might be fun. But conviction. Yeah. But I was like, no, there's a conviction there. Yeah. And that's what stops me from being able to do that. Your conviction may not be like everybody else's. Exactly. Obviously it's not. That's okay. I'm trying to be good. Yes. Yes. I get it. I get it. Wow. But we can, so you said, you know, how can we help others if we don't get convicted or if we're not convicted? And it's the same thing with our struggles and our tests, our testimonies. Those are the places we minister from. Yes. But that doesn't mean that you convict them because of your conviction. Ooh. Or you condemn them. Ooh, that's good. I have to play that back in my head. Yeah. You can empathize with them. You can sympathize with them. You can get down on their level. Absolutely, we all should. Someone just came to mind. That's why I'm like stopping. No, you're good. Someone that we know really gets down into the trenches with people. I get it. He's very good at it. And that's what, yeah, that just came across my mind. Anyways. Wow. His conviction is not mine. Right. But he's really good at it. Very good at it. Yeah. Very, very good at it. And I commend him. Yeah, absolutely. A lot of people can't do that. Nope. Can't get down with those people. It would be the same as you. The way he does. And myself. Yeah. We all have different things. Purposes. Oh, perfect word. Oh, my God. Perfect word. We all have a different purpose. Yeah. And that's what makes up the body of Christ. Right. And we all have different ministries. Because if you go to the, if we all sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher. Well. Yeah. That's not going to touch anybody. Right. We all have to sound different. Because it's going to touch different people. Yes. Yes. And you preach from your pain. Uh. Hopefully you don't have a lot of preaching to do. Because that means you didn't have a lot of pain. She said it. Because I've had a lot of preaching. I've had a lot of pain. Yeah, you're right. Definitely preach from your pain. All right. Thank you. We just like ran the gamut on that one. We did. We did. Kept it going. Like full circle. We did. And that's why I love word of mouth podcast. We get to say what's on our hearts. Be honest about it. And they can turn it off if they don't like it. Yeah, that's it. I'm good. But at the end of the day, man, we'll continue to do what God tells us to do. And I hope that it blesses you. Absolutely. We're not doing this just for any show form, fashion. We just want to use us. Use us, Lord. Use us as the vessels. Making an impact. Hope. Amen. We're hoping that we are. So we appreciate you. Thank you so much for tuning in to word of mouth podcast with Nate and Shelby. Love you. Have a blessed day. Yes. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye.
