As I ebbed with the ocean of life, as I wended the shores I know, as I walked where the ripples continually wash you palminock, where they rustle up horse and sibilant, where the fierce old mother endlessly cries for her castaways, I, musing late in the autumn day, gazing off southward, held by this electric self out of the pride of which I utter poems, was seized by the spirit that trails in the lines underfoot, the rim, the sediment that stands for all the water and all the land of the globe. That's the beginning of a poem by Walt Whitman, and it was written specifically about New Beer Friday, I'm like 90% sure. Greetings from the digital void, it's Brian, the fleshless being who hosts the New Beer Friday podcast for Prairie Artisan Ales. Today we've got a new nitro porter that's inspired by a chocolate milkshake. This type of porter is perfect to use on a nitro tap, because with the milkshake flavors of cacao, vanilla cream and milk chocolate, it's the infusion of nitrogen that gives the beer the perfect creamy texture and mouthfeel. It's glorious, glorious, like Walt Whitman's words, pure elegance. We've also got blue buns on tap, it's a sour ale that we've created to taste like a cinnamon blueberry muffin.
