Victoria and her friend Daria discuss dyslexia. Victoria found out she had dyslexia when she was 7 years old. Signs of dyslexia include struggling with reading, writing, spelling, and even riding a bike. Victoria beat dyslexia by dedicating an hour each day to reading after her dog passed away. Dyslexia didn't have a significant impact on her life outside of school, except for the bike part. In school, she struggled with spelling, reading, and writing, especially in languages. Dyslexia didn't stop her from enjoying those subjects though. Hi guys, my name is Victoria and Sam here with my best friend Daria, hi, and today we're going to talk about dyslexia Because I was 7 when I was a little kid So, sorry, how old were you when you found out you had dyslexia? I was about 6 years old Oh, nice. What are the signs of dyslexia? The signs of dyslexia is having a struggle reading, writing, spelling and something that might not seem true but actually is, is riding a bike Oh really, I don't know how to ride a bike, maybe I have dyslexia too, let me know How did you beat dyslexia? I, when I was about 10 years old, my dog died and my dad told me that if I learn how to read, I'll get a new dog So, everyday I sat there for about an hour and read and then after a month of hard work, I finally did it Oh, I'm so sorry for your dog, but still, you did so much progress in that time So, how did dyslexia affect your life? It didn't really, like, it didn't really affect my life outside of school Maybe except the bike part But in school, the only struggles were, for me personally, was to spell and to read Sometimes also to write So, the hardest for me were languages, but honestly, they were also my favorite subjects Thank you Victoria for this really great information Thank you, bye!
