Victor Daley

Victor James William Patrick Daley, an Australian poet, was known for his work under the pseudonym Creeve Roe, which translates to "Red Branch" in Irish, referring to the area where Cu Chulainn trained as a Red Branch Knight near the Navan. Although his collections, including "Poems" (1908), were published after his death, Daley made significant contributions to Australian verse during the Celtic Twilight era. He offered a lyrical alternative to his contemporaries, the bush balladists.
