Just some Sunday morning ramblings
The person is adjusting the recording volume because it was too quiet in the last podcast episode. They had a problem with overdriving the microphone before, so they can't increase the volume too much. They're also learning hot keys for editing the recording to make it sound better. They believe the audio is sounding good now and will listen to it to confirm. Okay, well, we're going to try this again. I turned my recording volume up because in the last episode of the podcast, I had it at 65% and it sounded kind of quiet. And on that call last week, Scott, one of our buddies that jumps on says he could hardly hear me. And when I listened to the podcast, it sounded kind of low. I mean, I ran it through all phonic and everything sounded fine because I brought it up and everything like that. And it was great. So I just went ahead and bumped it up another 10%. I know I can't go much higher than this, otherwise I'll overdrive the mic. And that's what my problem was the other day when I was playing with Audacity and everything. So I'm just doing another test and I'll probably throw this up on audio.com because I like to keep that up and going and just add more stuff as I just kind of get the mind to, so to speak. Okay, well, yeah, we're going back to normal when I start recording, you know, yawns and coughs and breaths and stuff like that wants to come through and run the recording. And I'm trying to learn some of the hot keys for working with Audacity, you know, so I can pause and cough or whatever I have to do so I can keep going and kind of make it sound halfway decent. And there's not as many mistakes, but you know, there's going to be mistakes because no audio was perfect on the first take. Anyway, that's just what I'm doing and checking out. I think I'm going to stop and listen to this because the waveform looks really good. And I believe my audio is sounding real good right now. So yeah, we're just going to go with it and give a listen back and see what happens.
