Every Christmas Eve, my family and I have a routine. We wear comfy pajamas, eat tamales, and watch our favorite movies all day. We stay up until midnight to open our gifts. In my hometown, the fire department drives through our neighborhood with Santa, throwing candy bags for the kids. It's one of my favorite parts of our tradition. Merry Christmas! We eat the same meal every year, tamales, and our hot beverage, and we watch our favorite movies all day. Christmas movies are watched, the food is devoured, and steaming cups of coffee or hot chocolate are always needed because we stay up until midnight to open our gifts and to participate in another part of our tradition. Despite the fact that I'm now older, this is one of my favorite parts of our Christmas tradition. You can hear the fire truck coming before you see it, and Santa is never stingy with the good candy.
