MP4 Conversion Questions
Yes. If the MP4 contains an audio track, you can convert that sound into one of the available audio formats.
Nothing is exported from the visual track. The converter produces audio only and leaves your original MP4 unchanged.
WAV is a practical choice for many editors because it avoids another lossy encode. It will not, however, restore detail already missing from compressed source audio.
It can reduce additional compression loss, but the ceiling is still the quality of the audio stored in the original MP4.
