The transcription discusses the popular song "Tomorrow" from the movies Shirley Temple and Annie. It emphasizes the idea that while we can count on the sun shining each day, we cannot always guarantee a better tomorrow. Jesus advises not to worry about tomorrow in Matthew 6:24, as each day has enough troubles of its own. The mention of the Creek Indians in the old saying refers to their main concern at that time. The speaker, Pastor Tim Hall, mentions his anticipation of the trumpet of God calling believers home at any moment. Shirley Temple and Annie made a song popular entitled, Tomorrow. The song said, the sun will come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar. When I'm stuck with a day that's gray and lonely, tomorrow is always a day away. Actually, we are promised that each day that God blesses us with, the sun will shine. But we are not always promised there will be a tomorrow as we know it or that it will be better. In Matthew 6, 24, Jesus says, Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. That is why the old timers would say, If the Lord will and the creek don't rise, I would do so and so. Actually, they were talking about the Creek Indians rising as that was their main concern at that time. Nowadays, you might hear me say, If the Lord will and the church don't rise, I would do so and so. As I am continually listening for the trumpet of God to sound and call his children home at any moment. This is Pastor Tim Hall of redletterwordsofjesus.com
