Thomas Stevens

Thomas Stevens, who lived from December 24th, 1854 to January 24th, 1935, was an author who is best known for his accomplishment of being the first person to travel around the world by bicycle. His journey took place from April 1884 until December 1886, during which he rode a penny-farthing, a type of bicycle with a large front wheel. Stevens' achievement has become a remarkable part of cycling history.
