Hi, I'm Kyle Ritzke, and today I'll be talking about an amazing podcast, and as well as the life between the people behind co-hosting it. Have you ever wanted to get into true crime, but it was definitely a little too sad and dark? Do you like comedy, but don't know where to find it at times? Have you ever thought of mixing the two? Meet Small Town Murder, where James Pellegrino and Jimmy Westman are comedians who talk about in-depth true crime murder, with a little bit of comedy. The podcast was started in 2017, and was started as a new form of comedic job for James and Jimmy. Let's get right into it. The podcast, Small Town Murder, is a true crime comedy podcast hosted by James Pellegrino and Jimmy Westman. It was started in early 2017 as a form of iTunes talk show. Their most iconic quotes on every episode they post are, Shut up and give me murder! As well as, We're assholes, but we're not scumbags. They always give some crazy example of a place the listener may be while tuning into their episodes. Of course, before shouting, shut up and give me murder. The two clever an array of case types from all over the United States. They always talk about the town, giving information on the details of the town as well. What are the ratings of the town? What are the comments on the town? What famous people that we might know grew up in that town, or lived in that town for a certain period of time? What is the race and ethnicity proportions of the town? And what is the religion statistics that the town has? The two always put a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode that typically goes along the lines of, this is a comedy show. There will be murder, gruesome, horrible murder, and there will be jokes. James Pellegrino is an American stand-up comedian and filmmaker and podcaster. He is currently hosting all podcasts, Small Town Murder, Crime and Sports, and their newly added Your Stupid Opinions, all being rated at about 4.9 stars out of 5. Additionally, James co-hosts the show, P.S. I Hate This Movie. Jimmy Westman is also an American comedian and podcaster, co-hosting the podcast, Small Town Murder, Crime and Sports, as well as Your Stupid Opinions. Jimmy became a professional comedian at just 23 years old, and the two men love going to comedy clubs and doing comedy shows together. The two are best friends. The two really enjoy making podcasts together, and added the third podcast they'd host together just barely a mere four days ago. This is seriously an amazing set of podcasters, and they just make your day when you listen to them. I would highly recommend tuning in on them one day, whether you're in school and you're just a little bored, or maybe you're in the car going for a drive. Thank you all for listening. I hope you enjoyed my topic. Now remember, this is why if you love true crime, and you also love comedy, Small Town Murder is a perfect fit for you.
