The road was long and hard to get to the 2nd grade, my teacher thought she could stop me from wearing AKN shirts, but surprise, she was wrong, and now she must call me, what they call you, academically advanced. This is throw up tackle presented by Forkast.Media This is throw up tackle, presented by the Forkast.Media podcast. That one is Carolina, Adichie, uh, that one's in Montgomery, Oakdale, Minnesota. Thank you. You're welcome. Mmm, all of that. Order 9-9 into 2000. Man, that's when everybody had Bell South. That was back in the day. I remember that. I remember the phone going, looking at people's numbers in the phone book. For free. For free. It was just, it just dropped off at your house. For free. And y'all really think, and y'all think society is safer now? People be trying to argue like, yeah, man, you know, things done changed, things ain't as safe as they used to be. No, you just wasn't paying attention. There was no social media to publish what was happening when people went over to Chester's house in the middle of the day. But I digress. No, everybody, everybody in the neighborhood had somebody. She didn't snatch it. She said, she said, young lady, I think you should put on a different shirt. Here is another shirt. And she made, and then she required her to change her shirt. I mean, it depends on what I sent them to school in. Why would I be putting my child in shirts with things on it that I don't know what they mean? Great point. Um. No, you bring y'all, y'all as the as the D9 representative on this show, I will say y'all ain't supposed to be just dropping y'all paraphernalia off at the pimp shop. I'm just saying you're not supposed to do that. Don't do that. No, no, no, no, no. First of all, first of all, first of all, there was this child had plenty of integrity and. Yeah. Yeah. That's all. I don't know that. What? What my man Paul Harvey used to say the rest of the story, you got to have the rest of the story. Yeah, like like the Panthers, like the Panthers offense. I don't understand it, nor can I explain it. So. Well, let me start here. Let's not jump. Let's not. This is not the national show, so I don't want to spend too much time talking about the Lions, but one of the things that I've been seeing a lot in my research prior to this episode is the Lions might be at worst the third best team in the NFC, according to a lot of people. So, I mean, it's not like they lost to somebody. Sorry, they lost a good team and upcoming after they get past the Dolphins, which will be a L, then their next run of games is Texans, Colts, Bears. If your intent is to fire Frank, right, you need to fire him after this week because there's a chance that the Carolina Panthers could run off the wind. They can never play, they just played a really good team like. Well, here's my cat. That's my question. Was D'Amico Ryan's a candidate for the Panthers job? Well, here's my cat. That's my question. Was D'Amico Ryan's a candidate for the Panthers job? I don't know that man name. I'm not going to lie to you. But that's also not, but that's not atypical as well, because outside of Eric B. Enemy or guys who are retread coaches like Steve Spagnolia, like typically if your team goes to the Super Bowl, the coordinators are probably going to get head coaching jobs. Because let's take a look at how does Frank Wright get his first head coaching job? Well, he was the offensive coordinator in Philadelphia when they won the Super Bowl. So this is not, this is not atypical. So I won't say necessarily it's a race problem with the NFL. Wait, wait, wait, let me finish my thought. There's a race problem in America, which I don't think the NFL is immune to that at all. No, it's not. But but back to the to the Panthers of it all. Yes, there's a couple of questions you have to ask. Did they drop the wrong quarterback? Did they hire the wrong coach? Do they have the wrong GM? That's another thing to throw out to. Yeah. Oh. Oh, it's a crowded, it's a crowded field. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Ted Turner was but Ted Turner was a wild boy. Like, let's not act like Ted Turner was out here. You talk about the same Ted Turner that decided, you know what? I want to buy a wrestling company and I want to put my show on at the same time as the more popular wrestling company. Because these are the things that Ted Turner did. Let me just say this. I do think I'm reading a book right now called Extreme Ownership. And one of the things that comes away in that book is there are no bad teams, only bad leaders. This starts at the top. I do think it starts with David Tepper. David Tepper was the one who hired Matt rule. David Tepper was the one who hired this GM. David Tepper was the one who hired this coach. And I do believe that David Tepper was the one who made the final decision on I'm I want Bryson and not see their stride and not Anthony Richardson. That that is what that is a decision of the leader of the team. And until he makes better decisions, the Panthers are going to be in a bad situation. Well, well, OK, let me let me be devil's advocate here. Let me be devil's advocate here. The Carolina Panthers defense is not is not good, but it is not the issue. They've got a top five pass defense. I think that, you know, you might be able to scheme some stuff up to make them run and they don't have their full compliment. I understand that, but it ain't playing and the Dolphins is out here. I understand all that, but but the more important part for the Dolphins is I think they just got greedy with something they just did. If everything's flowing good and everything's working well and everybody happy. Why would you invite Chase Claypool into the house? Chase Claypool has went to two different teams and both teams have said your services are no longer needed here. We need you to go. But they just brought him in there for what? I don't know. I mean, that was greedy. And I don't I don't want it to backfire on the Dolphins because I do think the Dolphins have a strong chance of coming out of the AFC. But when you start doing I feel they will be compelled to like, all right, we got to make Claypool happy and force him into the office. And that is smart. You just brought him in. You don't want him to be in there upset. They were trying to force the passes this way. They going to force him passes his way. That's why he going. How did a Mario just quick question. How did the Chicago Bears look once Chase Claypool left? You don't want to break. You don't want to bring that in, man. I'm just saying. And I also think that the Carolina Panthers defense is prideful and they will at least make it rough on the Dolphins. The problem is the Carolina Panthers cannot score. But what's the problem with the Miami Dolphins? Wait a second. Wait a second. I understand all that, but I also understand that the Miami Dolphins have the number 23rd ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. The number 23 ranked defense. Number 25 in points. Give it up. I'm just saying. The Panthers got a shot. See, I was with you on the 48, but I think the Panthers going to put up at least 25 on y'all. Oh, I'm sorry. I think the Panthers put 25 up on them. The Dolphins didn't stop nobody all year. They didn't really stop Denver when they put 70 points on Denver. They still let Denver score. I'm just saying. What? I'm just saying. Go ahead, LJ. You wanted to talk about this topic. More. Oh, no, we're going to talk about that on this show, but more than that in a second. Keep going. Let me just say this. North Carolina has had one real test all game. And that was against a South Carolina team that most of us don't really believe in. Then they follow that up with an overtime win at state. Like, I mean, that doesn't really move me. Then you beat Minnesota and Pittsburgh. Cool. And then this week was the first week I felt like North Carolina's offense looked good. And it was against a Syracuse team who I don't think is very good. Drake May, who people keep. Drake May, who people. Sorry. Sorry, Syracuse. He's working. He's working on it. He's working on it. They're not there yet, though. Can I finish? Can I finish my thought? I mean, I'm, you know, I'm talking through it. No, I'm about to say the right thing. I know exactly what I'm about to say. Drake May has not looked like the hybrid candidate that everybody tried to tell me he was. And, you know, as somebody who covered his games in high school, I can tell you I'm not surprised. And number two, most importantly, they're playing Miami this week. Their championship hopes end on Saturday. It is a wrap. They are going to lose. Oh, no, no. I did stay up late and I know two things. I know one thing for certain and two things are for sure. Number one, Murray Cristobal cannot come out here and lose this game after the way he coaching box the last game. And number two, that office cannot look that bad two weeks in a row. One thing that the University of Miami does have is a top 10 defense in the country. Top 10 defense in the country. We know the defense is going to show up. Mario Cristobal's only job all week is to make sure the offense shows up. Taliban died up to last week was a hybrid candidate. Taliban died, had they grant Taliban died, had a grand total of four interceptions this season. Taliban died, had they grant total of four interceptions this season. Do you know how many through on Saturday? Three, that was his first bad game all year. That is what you use. That is what teams who are going to win the ACC utilize. They were looking ahead. You can't get caught. You not good enough to get caught looking ahead. You're not good enough to get caught looking ahead. I think they had this North Carolina game marked like, oh, he think he missed the Heisman. We won't show them and you look past Georgia Tech and it showed the whole first quarter. They look terrible in the first half of that game. For who the University of North Carolina, it's a wrap. They lose it. Write it down. Take a picture. It's a it's a wrap. It's a it's a wrap. North Carolina is not going to win that game on Saturday. Miami 30, North Carolina 20. That's that's all I'm saying. All the more reason to look past Georgia Tech, like that's the issue, but you not good enough to look past people. As he should, I would schedule my, I would circle the first loss. I was going to have all season too. You win, win, win. Oh, Miami, we going to lose that. Well, they lost it. They lost the Utah, Kentucky. But I mean, here's what it comes down to the South Carolina. At what point do you tank on your season? Right now you sitting at two and three. To start building for next year. Let's start seeing. No, what I'm saying is what I'm saying is what I'm saying is show them recruits who the quarterback will be next season. We don't need to keep sentencing throughout loud there. Let me change. Put the freshman in. Let the boy go. Absolutely not. But what I am telling you, absolutely not. But what I am telling you is that was Spencer. Spencer Rattler ain't good is what I'm telling you. And so what is the purpose of to continue to try it out? Spencer Rattler out there for L's right now? Because you don't ever get to play. But if he gets to play, if he gets to play, it might be a different story, especially when you think about the long-term future of the team. What is the first? What are you learning sitting on a bench? What are you learning sitting on the bench? What are you learning about not playing? They not going to win them with Spencer Rattler. They not going winning with Spencer Rattler. That's what I'm telling you. And so what is the purpose to continue to send Spencer Rattler out there? If he going to keep getting you else? Why? Why are we doing this? Right now? Because you don't get to play. Well, that's true. Now, that's a good point. Now, if you're trying to protect the man's eligibility, I understand. But at the same time, then why would you just throw him in the game? That's a blowout. You got like three other quarterbacks on the roster, playing receiver and running back. South Carolina got out. There's only one thing that should be on South Carolina's mind if they lose this game in Florida. Only one thing. What do we need to do to beat Clemson? Just throw it all out the window. If y'all don't, if y'all. Yeah, that's all that's important. Because they don't look good. They don't look like the team they were last year that was able to pull off upsets. Like they went out here and got rolled by Tennessee. Like they were competitive in the Georgia game. But then like in the second half, Georgia just kind of realized, oh, we playing South Carolina. South Carolina looks like. What is your Super Bowl, Spencer? Please explain that to me. That's it. That's the whole focus. That's the only thing you can leave your season with, right? You might not. There's a strong chance South Carolina has like zero chance to be bowl eligible after like two weeks after the next two weeks. What's the rest of their schedule? OK, OK, they might. OK, follow me. Follow me. They might be two and four coming out of this week, two and four. So then where's your bowl eligibility? I'm going to tell you the rest of South Carolina's schedule. Hold on now. Hold on. They got Florida, Missouri. Wait, wait, follow me. You got to play five and one Missouri. Is that a win? You got to play Texas A&M. Is that a win? Then you play. Then you play Jack. You play Jacksonville State, which should be a win. But Jacksonville State is five and one. That might be their game to pull off an upset against the SEC opponent. But I'm going to give them that one. I'm going to give them that one. So that puts South Carolina at three wins, right? Wait, we're at three wins. We're going to give them the Vanderbilt win, right? That puts them at four. You think South Carolina is going to beat Kentucky? Do you think South Carolina is going to beat Kentucky? Because if you if because because OK, so if they don't beat Kentucky, they can't be bowl eligible because even with a Clemson win, that only puts them at five wins. I'm telling you, they see somebody be a rapper. They don't win this week. They have to win this game. I'm not just listen, man. I got a doctoral degree. I don't say stuff just to say stuff. I'm telling you, they not going to be bowl eligible if they cannot pull this win off. This is a must win game for South Carolina. That's true. I feel you. But if you're not going to be bowl eligible, what what are you doing? Get your senior to get your senior some. Hey, let that man and let that man cook in the last two. Let him play against Clemson. Let him play against Kentucky. I think pull the trigger right away, but you need to start that process and say, hey, Spencer, you might want to stop putting your film together to try to be an undrafted free agent. Because in the last two weeks, you ain't going out there.
