So you thought it was going to be a super simple fix, like okay, I'll cut sugar out and everything will be fine. No, it's not that simple. This is why sugar isn't the only factor, but it's definitely not difficult either. So first off, let's clear up some things. We've been blaming sugar for everything from low energy to weight gain. But here's the truth. Sugar intake dropped almost 20% over that 14-year time span that I showed you a couple of slides ago, and guess what? Obesity as well as diabetes still went up, so clearly it's not just sugar. Your health is influenced by your hormones, your habits, your sleep, your stress levels, and believe it or not, even your finances, and you're probably like, whoa, what do you mean by that? So this is actually a complex, layered issue. So think of it as having multiple layers that's contributing to one scenario. It's not something that can be solved by cutting out cupcakes, so no, sugar isn't the villain here. I've said it before and I'm saying it again. But we do need to understand how it fits into the bigger picture, right? Health is not a black and white thing. On the bottom line, good health isn't created or ruined by one single food. Once again, sugar isn't the enemy, it's more about the full picture.
