The host of Tinker's Just Podcast, Tony, talks about his recent absence and the challenges of editing his podcast. He mentions having a new intro and wanting to make an impact on offense. He discusses a recent practice where he felt nervous playing a new position, but received support and encouragement from his teammates and coaches. Tony then mentions his plans for future interviews with the coach and some players to discuss team goals and strategies. He acknowledges the difficulties of balancing podcasting with his new role as a dad. He concludes by thanking his listeners and signing off. Welcome back to Tinker's Just Podcast, I'm your host Tony, and today we'll be talking about a few things that I've missed with the team, and also what's going on with my schedule lately, and I also gotta thank our sponsors in Little Tokyo, Bobo Bay, Rick the Barber, Asian Days, Fenn, Folcoma, and also to shout out to one of our newest sponsors in Genentech Solutions as well. Hey guys, it's been a while since I've done any podcasting, and I know that I posted about my story that I was going to post sooner or later, but I know doing the editing as well is really difficult, you know, and it sucks. When you have to edit your own audio podcast and everything, it takes a while, and it takes a few times to really make sure you get everything well and corrected, and make sure that it sounds good. So, in case you guys didn't know, I did have a new intro, which is nice, and the intro is pretty legit, cool as well, and kind of, you know, get something new, right, because it's a new season, you know, new guys come in, new players, and new motivation, new goal, right? So, what I want to talk about is to touch about the recent practice. I know I wasn't there for the last two. For the last weekend, I was not able to participate due to my wife's grandma passing away, and I just wanted to spend time with her. She was in a really deep, deep, you know, in a depression state, so I kind of had to be there for her and make sure she was okay, and right now, she's doing fine, so that's it for now. I know that this weekend is Easter, so Happy Easter for everyone. I know there's no practice during that weekend, so I'll probably see you guys next weekend or the next following weekend when we do have practice again, and so, for the last practice I was at, which was in, I think, two weeks ago, I believe so, in my memory that the last time I did not snow in Green Bay, and so, what I want to talk about, what I went through, and sorry, my English is bad today, holy shit, so, what I went through was probably the most, you know, nervous thing, right, because I never played offense with the guys. I played a little bit, but not a lot compared to the other guys are, and last season, I was playing mostly on defense, you know, see how defense was, and it is fun playing defense, but at the same time, I want to make more of an impact on the offense as well, and so, what I want to really pinpoint of what really mattered during that day, during that day, we had, we lined up, and coach was coming, walking back and forth, you know, giving a really big lecture, or a kind of speech, in a way, and it really helped me a lot. It really showed me how to really think of this team as a brotherhood, you know, and to not just think that, oh, we're just friends, or, no, I just know you because of football, you know, it's more than that. For those who are new, and for those who are, you know, current with the team, you know, every single day, you know, every single practice, I always think about how to get better, how to get stronger, and how to stay motivated, so the best thing that I want to reach for is the part when I was struggling a little bit. I was pretty nervous in the slot as a receiver, and the play was the motion coming from the right side, go to the left, and come back out to the right side again, and hit the flat, and so, for me, I was hesitating a lot, and because I never played on the offense before, but, you know, it's best to learn it when, you know, when you put it into a situation when you're not comfortable, right? So, I messed up some of your plays, and I did really coach, say, Tony, you got to pick it up, you know, because when it comes down to game day, you know, it's going to be different. You know, you have to make sure that you understand what's going on. So Mark put me aside, and Anthony, and AP as well, AP told me to watch him, right, and then, hey, to watch me, and study, boom, okay, so I was watching him, and while Mark was talking to me as well, Mark told me, hey, man, keep your head up. Just because you messed up does not mean that, you know, you're not good. It's because you've never been played, you've never played that position before, and just run it back. That's what he told me, just straight up run it back. Now, focus on you, focus on your round, don't focus on anyone else, focus on you, okay? Just working on yourself, as a player, and as a teammate, and that, coming from Mark, it means a lot to me as well, and shout out to Mark, thank you so much, my guy, and after that, AP was like, you know, do what I did, but a little bit faster, and pick it up. You got this, and that's, and to me, that shows to me how much he cares, how much he wants to make sure that I can succeed, and that's the whole, that's the whole thing, that's the whole episode of this today, is to make sure that everyone on that team succeeds, make sure everyone, that even if that person is new, even if that person has never gone to this practice before, make sure that, hey, I'm gonna show him what's up, I'm gonna show him how to be successful, I'm gonna show him how to be a good player, and that means a lot to me, because with that, that shows to me how brotherhood is, and that's the whole conversation of this, of what Coach said, the brotherhood, our goal is to help each other, pick each other up, when we fall, you pick him up, if he cries, you cry with him, you know, pretty much, right, you know, if I cry, man, you, y'all better cry too, so, if I talk shit, I talk shit, and that'll do it, you know, if I fight someone, I can't, and maybe not, so anyways, that's the whole episode at this point, of the brotherhood, because when you see a brother struggling, when you see your own brother have a hard time, what do you do, right, you go up to him, and say, hey, son of a little bitch, and get up, you know, but in the football perspective, you will motivate your brothers and say, hey, it's all right, do it better next time, and continue on getting better, and that's what, how amazing this brotherhood is, moving on, I think what I was gonna talk about, man, this is what happens when I lose my train of thought, because I had this written down, and I forgot to put it down on my list, on my notepad, god damn it, alright, I gotta, I had to improvise now, okay, now, this is going off script, ah, damn it, ah, Jesus Christ, I know, Coach said before, and I can't think about it right now for some reason, but let's just move on to the next one, to the next one that I wanna really talk about as well, is just to talk about the list of interviews that I wanna do for this, for the next podcast coming in, I do have a new laptop coming in, this laptop's not that good, it's really slow, so once I get my new laptop, it has a better camera, it has a better system for me to use a lot faster, so once I get that going, for sure, I wanna get coaching as well, I wanna get Tomei, Chong, and also Meng, the reason why I selected those four, is because I want to know, and ask Coach, simple questions, you know, nothing too hard, nothing too complicated, is to understand what is our goal this season, our goal for practice, and our goals for game days, you know, and to talk to him about, you know, how does he come up with these new schemes, and also these new goals, and also these speeches that he gives us, you know, and just to note, it's not because I, or let's say, it's not because to remind you guys, it's because to show the fans, the people who supports us, you know what I mean, and so this is to reach out to the fans, to let them know that this is Coach's goal this season, and this is how we're gonna do it. And for Tomei and Chong as well, those guys, you know, I have interviewed with Chong and Tomei before, and I don't think I have done it with Meng, but the reason why I wanted to get him too as well, because he's that veteran receiver, he's fast and agile, and he's been through tons of difficulties in life, and he's won a championship, and that's what means, you know, that's why I wanted to have him here, to understand what does it take to get there, you know, and what can we do as a team to be better, and also to reach that type of level, and not just that, to, you know, exploit our level even further, you know what I mean, so that's why I want to get through to them whenever they have the time, whenever I have the time, because I am now a dad, and it's kind of difficult to put podcasting into my schedule, so when I have time and when I do, I will, you know, improvise and make sure that I can accommodate to those guys as well, and make sure that you guys get all the information that we need, and y'all need to listen and reach out, and in case one day you see me out there, Tony Vang, or you see Team Crusaders, and that's, you know who we are, because of Team Crusaders podcast, and not just that, on our team, be in the field, playing for those moment to them as well, but I believe this is all I got for tonight, I know it's already 9.28, my bedtime is usually at 11, I'm trying my best to make sure that to release content for you guys, and also for my Packers podcast, anyway guys, thank you so much for listening, until then, I'll see you guys in the next one, peace.
