This podcast highlights the new technology tool-the Flurbirt! It brings history to life using an artificial intelligence database.
The flurbert is a new device that uses artificial intelligence to enable conversations with historical figures. It allows students to interact with and learn from the experiences and perspectives of people like Abraham Lincoln and Rosa Parks. The device is voice-activated and features a projection feature. It is constantly updating its database with more historical figures. The flurbert aims to make historical content more relatable and help students gain empathy and understanding of different viewpoints. Stay tuned for a podcast with the creator of the flurbert. Good day, fellow scholars. Today's tool of tomorrow is the flurbert. Have you ever wished you could have a conversation with someone that was alive during another time? Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to talk to Abraham Lincoln about what it was like to fight for a united country, or to understand what Rosa Parks had been thinking when she refused to give up her best seat? The flurbert uses artificial intelligence to make these types of conversations possible. The flurbert will change the way students interact with and experience historical content. Historical figures come to life and are able to discuss their experiences, beliefs, events, and culture through the use of artificial intelligence databases. It is one thing to learn about events such as World War II through books or video, but discussing the war with someone who lived through it makes the experience more realistic and relatable to students who may not have the background knowledge needed. The device itself is a small circle about 10 inches in diameter. It features a projection feature so that users can also see who they are speaking with. It is voice activated, similar to a Google Nest or Alexa device. Students simply need to ask things like, I'd like to speak to Franklin D. Roosevelt or connect me to someone who was part of the Axis Powers during World War II. Though it is in the earlier stages of development, the flurbert is predicted to add more and more historical figures to its database daily. The device also updates automatically overnight, keeping the technology more up to date. The flurbert will open up the ability of students to empathize with different viewpoints while also learning from historical perspectives about various cultures, beliefs and ideals that shaped our history. Stay tuned for an upcoming podcast with the creator of the flurbert.
