Sydney Wunschel interviews her mom, Sarah Wunschel, about having kids. Sarah remembers the most memorable part of having kids as watching them grow up together and participating in sports. She is proud to see her children become responsible young adults. If she could go back in time, Sarah isn't sure if she would still have four kids, but she loves all of them and enjoys seeing them grow. Sarah's parents taught her to make her bed, which she still does because it makes her feel like she has a fresh day. Sydney thanks her mom for being on the podcast and encourages listeners to start preparing for having kids sooner rather than later. Hi, this is Sydney Wunschel, and I'm currently a senior at MHS, and today I'm going to be interviewing my mom, Sarah Wunschel. And I will be asking her about having kids and what's the main thing that she remembers about having kids. I'm the third child in my family. I have three other sisters, Megan, Allison, and Kaylee. Megan is 22, Allison is 19, and Kaylee is 11. I chose to interview my mom about having kids because my family is really important to me and I would really enjoy learning about the thoughts, about my mom's thoughts about having kids and all the ins and outs of it. I hope that this can help anyone that is planning on having kids in the future, and I hope you enjoy. Thank you. Hi, this is Sydney, and who am I here with today? Sarah. Hi, this is Sarah. I think the most memorable would be them just growing up together. Two of my daughters were very close in age. So they, you know, one daughter would do something and the next daughter would do it soon after. But I thought it was fun how they were all typically in sports. So really we've been in sports for a very, very long time because my youngest daughter was born in 2002. So really by 2006-2007 we started doing sports. All right. And then I'm sure you're very proud of your children. What's your proudest part about being a parent? I think the proudest part is how I can see them grow up and be responsible young adults. Thank you. Thank you. I have a few more questions. If you could go back in time, would you still have four kids? Why or why not? Oh, that's a very good question. I'm not really sure if I would have four or not. I always wanted two kids. And then we had our next daughter who is now 17. But I think I really do think I would have four kids because I love all of them and I love seeing them all grow up. Okay. And then my last question for you today is what is a tip that your parents taught that has stuck with you till this day? You know, one thing that sticks with me and I still do that is I make my children make their bed. It just makes you feel like you have a fresh day. Even if you're like, you know what, I didn't make my bed today, make it before you go to bed. It just makes you feel more comfortable sleeping and you have a very good night's rest in that case. I truly believe making your bed is a very important part of a daily thing you should do. Okay. Thanks for joining me today. You are so welcome. Thanks for having me. Thank you for listening to my podcast today with my mom, Sarah Wunschel. I hope that this can help you when you're having kids someday. Just think you could possibly be having kids sooner than you think and you should probably start preparing sooner rather than later. Thank you. I would like to thank my mom, Sarah, for coming onto my podcast today. She has a busy schedule and it can take a lot longer to come up with your answers than you may think. I would also like to thank my sources. The first source that I used was from Pew Research and the second source that I used was from Kalamazoo College. Thank you.
