The huge hall is an old airship hangar. The water park is called Tropical Island. It can hold up to 8,200 people at a time. There are 600 people that work there. Walking into the building is like walking into another world. The air is kept at 78 degrees. It is also kept at a high humidity. This keeps all the plants and trees healthy. This is important because the largest indoor tropical rainforest in the world is in the building. There you will find 50,000 plants. The water park has waterslides, swimming pools, and beaches. The largest pool is 47,000 square feet. That's almost as big as a football field. The swimming pools are made to look like coral reefs and lagoons. There is also a volleyball beach, soccer field, and golf course. There are even restaurants in case you get hungry. We use them for broadcasting TV, radio and for making phone calls. Satellites help us to monitor the weather. GPS or global positioning system is connected to satellites. It has become a crucial part of our daily life. The job of the Space Force is to keep international space safe and available for use. There are six large bases in California, Colorado and Florida.
