Professional football and their stadiums bring excitement and prosperity to home teams. NFL stadiums have evolved significantly over the years, offering improved amenities and technologies. These changes have positive economic impacts on surrounding cities, stimulating small communities. The growing demand for new sports franchises is driven by these benefits, including improved community visibility, stimulation of other developments, and internal benefits for existing residents. A real-world example can help us understand the NFL's impact. This excitement and prosperity brought by professional football and their respective stadiums is amazing for the home team, but stadiums were not always set on this grand of a scale. You need to be aware that NFL stadiums have changed significantly over the years if we are going to use them as proof for how the NFL stimulates small communities. According to Mary C. Ewan of Coastal Carolina University, in her honors thesis entitled If you build it, they will come, the positive economic impacts of NFL stadiums in their surrounding cities. Stadiums used to be straightforward structures that were only concerned with the big game. But today, they've evolved into domes with enormous screens, improved video playback, and a wide variety of concession options, and so many other amenities for fans. This energetic ambiance is made to appeal to all demographics so that patrons stay longer in the establishment, and this benefits favorably impacts third-party externalities. The growing demand for new sport franchises in cities is being driven by these beneficial third-party externalities. Examples of this include improved community visibility and image, stimulation of other developments and psychic income. And when I say psychic income, I'm referring to the internal benefits received by existing residents of the community.
