The speaker felt invisible and lost the power they once had over others. They noticed that the person they were sitting across from seemed disinterested and unresponsive. I guess the way I was, you know, I was sitting across from him and I could see in his eyes they were just like switched off. I was invisible. I've lost that power over everything. Yeah, that power that comes from being desirous.
